Update 1.6 was an update on Geometry Dash that was released on March 25, 2014. It primarily added the levels Electroman Adventures and Clubstep, which was the first demon level in the game.

The update was considered one of the biggest updates along with Update 1.8 and Update 1.9. RobTop Games added invisible blocks and spikes along with non-colored blocks that the player can penetrate.

Also, RobTop added a few new colors, like black and more. Three secret coins were added to each official level. If the player obtained all of the coins, they would be awarded with achievements and icons. Completing the new level, Clubstep, in normal mode would give the player the Shadow Black 2 color. If they completed Clubstep in practice they would get a UFO. If the player completed Electroman Adventures in practice, the other new level, they would earn the Cyan color. If they completed Electroman Adventures in normal mode, they would unlock a new ship.

Trivia
*This was the first update to introduce multiple levels (the second being Update 1.9).

*Electroman Adventures was introduced with harder difficulty, but it eventually switched to insane.
* There was a little cheat in Electroman Adventures at the first gravity ball part, but later got patched.
* It is possible to complete Electroman Adventures in mirror mode by landing on the platform at the 2nd ufo part when you are smaller. Falling on the platform will cause you to not touch the portal to reverse mirror mode and the portal to make you turn into a ship. Not only will this make you complete the level in mirror mode, this will let you be a ufo instead of a ship.
|precededby = N/A}}Ultimate Destruction is an unreleased level from the Geometry Dash beta. Presumably, it evolved into the level now known as Base After Base.

Description
What is shown of the level mostly resembles Base After Base, although a few portions resemble obstacle arrangements in Stereo Madness, indicating this level had begun development before it was split up to become those two individual levels. Jump pads and jump rings appear in the level, along with gravity portals of both the activation (yellow) and deactivation (blue) variants. This goes to show the extent of development had already progressed beyond the original design elements shown in the gallery below. The last significant difference is the fact that while flying the ship, the drop-down roof had not yet been implemented to contain the ship to the static view and could be flown outside of visibility. The trailer only shows the first two thirds of the level, and the vertical camera scrolling was slightly different from what it is now.

Trivia
*The video shows the original name of Geometry Dash was previously Geometry Jump.
*The cube icon seen in the level is normally unlocked by completing Can't Let Go.
*Robert Topala explained that the composer of the soundtrack, TMM43, did not give permission for it to be used in-game. Despite this, Update 1.9 introducing custom music allows it to be selected for user-created levels.
*In the gallery below, an image shows 'Ultiate Destruction' (likely a typo) in the level selection menu. This is occurs at the very start of the trailer right before transitioning to the level.
* Ultimate Destruction could of been the 3rd level as stars were not added until Update 1.3
Update 1.3 was an update to Geometry Dash that was released on November 20, 2013. It mainly introduced the new level xStep, which held the title as the first level to use blue pads on the regular route. It also brought about a new rank system to have users be rated on their number of stars earned by completing levels. Ten new achievements and characters and a new difficulty called Demon were also added, including a number of bugfixes and tweaks. Update 1.3 also added stars to main levels.

StubUser Accounts is a feature that allows Geometry Dash progress data to be backed up onto an external cloud-based server. The process links the game profile to a personal account under a unique username, providing a more efficient means of accessing saved data on other devices while also reducing the possibility of losing it. That username is then marked as orange when viewed by other users, and subsequently cannot be re-used.
Creating an account
The account configuration section can be found through the "Options" menu (opened by the gear icon on the main menu). In order to create an account, a username and password must be chosen. As part of authorising it, an email address is also required. By submitting the above information, a confirmation link will be sent to the email address, which must be activated to successfully enable the account. This will make it usable, and the user will be able to sign in with their username and password and back up their data. However, there are three features to this data collection system:

- "Save" which allows you to actually save your progress even when you only have a little. There is no automatic save so make sure to save your profile once in a while!

- "Load" which allows you to, when logged into your account from either the main device or another, recover all content stored on your account.

- Lastly there is the "Help" option. This will allow you to send an e-mail to RobTop with a complaint about the back-up system, or just simply log out of your account.

Please note that when you log out of your account, you should save your progress. Failure to save your progress can result in an automatic wipe of the account. When logging into your account, please note before you start playing the map packs or the maps RobTop has made, you should always press the "Load" button. This will make it so you have all your progress back. Along with the "Load" button, be very careful and take your time getting used to the buttons because if you accidentaly press the "Save" button, it will save the most recent progress. The good advantage is RobTop has built in a confirmation button after pressing "Save." When pressing yes, your data will be overidden. Please use caution however because if you worked hard to get to where you are and press "Save" and "yes" by accident, your progress will be overidden forever. As always, have fun playing Geometry Dash.

Trivia
There was bug when syncing 1 account with 2 devices, you could get free 30 coins anytime you synced. However, it was fixed in Update 1.91.

There is a bug where if your Geometry Dash data was loaded on Geometry Dash lite, you would get the things you have in the full version in the lite version.

Previews
Prior to the release of Update 1.8, Topala said in a conversation at Touch Arcade Forums:

<blockquote>"I have a lot of ideas for update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8... muahaha"
</blockquote>

On August 13, 2014, Topala posted his first Update 1.9 preview image, which shows five icons wearing different-colored headphones. This made way for much anticipation throughout the Geometry Dash community, resulting in theories involving soundtrack changes within a level and new game modes.

On August 26, 2014, Topala created another image depicting three-dimensional blocks, arousing much excitement among Geometry Dash players. He continued with the idea on August 28, posting a picture on Facebook about what could be built using the blocks.

On September 6, 2014, another image was posted through Topala's social media accounts featuring several different new map components that would be used in future levels of Geometry Dash. This included two new icons, gear-like obstacles, and various different unknown types of blocks. The most prominent feature was a new thick blue portal that would likely result in another game mode being introduced.

On September 14, 2014, Topala posted yet another image onto his social media accounts. It has a blast and processor for Blast Processing by Waterflame and a book, an infinity symbol, and a "2" for Theory of Everything 2 by DJ Nate, with the latter likely to be the demon level, following similar lines to Update 1.6.

On September 21, 2014, another image was posted through Facebook and Twitter. This image introduced a new custom music feature that would allow players to include music from Newgrounds in their custom levels. The image includes ten icons with headphones at the bottom. It was the first picture to indicate that the update was a work in progress. Upon the release of the image, Topala said that a sneak peek video for the next levels would be coming soon.

On September 28, 2014, Topala officially released the first Update 1.9 sneak peek video, which showed the first 21 seconds of a beta Blast Processing with less decorations. As seen in the video, the new blue portal changed the icon to an arrow-like object with physics similar to those seen in the mobile game Wave Wave.

On October 10, 2014, he released another sneak peek video featuring the second level, Theory of Everything 2. In this video, a new background and a new design of ship was used. Topala was also playing the game on his computer, indicating that he may have been using the future Steam version.

On October 18, 2014, Topala confirmed that the update would be released soon after he had fixed a minor issues in the backup and music systems. He also said he was working on the Steam version, and hinted on Update 2.0, stating that he will continue improving the user account system devised in 1.9.

On November 4, 2014, Topala posted that the update was submitted for review and was waiting to be accepted.

On November 9, 2014, almost three months after Update 1.9 was first mentioned, Topala confirmed the release of 1.9 and stated that it would release to iOS and Android devices around the same time, and the Steam version would be released as soon as possible.

On November 13, 2014, Update 1.9 was released to the Windows Phone App Store.

On November 14, 2014, Update 1.91 was released to all devices. This was a minor update that fixed a few bugs.

On November 15, 2014 update 1.9 was released on Amazon devices.

On January 18, 2015 update 1.92 was released on Google Play. This included some new options and fixed few Custom Song bugs.

On February 12, 2015 update 1.93 was released on Google Play. This was a minor update that included some bugfixes.

Geometry Dash Lite
On February 5, 2015, Geometry Dash Lite was updated straight to version 1.921, adding Time Machine, new achievements and User Accounts.

Trivia
* The new arrow-like form, known as the Wave, was inspired by the mechanics of the mobile game Wave Wave. It is supposed the concept was brought to light by a popular Geometry Dash player, Darnoc, who created a level (also named Wave Wave), mimicking its mechanics using condensed groups of gravity rings and the UFO.
