Practice Mode is a feature in Geometry Dash and Geometry Dash Lite that is designed to help the player learn the layout of a level, during which time they will not be forced to restart from the beginning in the instance of a crash. Instead, they are allowed to place checkpoints, marked by green gems.
Clear
Description
To enable practice mode, it must be selected through the pause menu using the large gem button on the left. By default, checkpoints are automatically generated every so often, although this option can be unchecked. The last checkpoint placed can also be removed if inconvenient, where the player can then proceed from the previous checkpoint. This can be done as many times as required.

Progress on practice mode is recorded separately from normal mode, and it does not offer the standard level rewards of secret coins or stars. However, other achievements will unlock as usual.
Clear
Controls
*On a mobile device, buttons will appear that can be tapped to place and remove checkpoints.
*On Steam, pressing the 'Z' key will place a checkpoint, while pressing the 'X' key will remove it.

Trivia
*Enabling practice mode will always change the soundtrack to Stay Inside Me by OcularNebula. It will play continuously, even through crashes, and loop back to the beginning immediately once it has finished.
*For the cube or ball forms, checkpoints will automatically be generated sooner following a series of rapid movements. For other forms, checkpoints are not visible, and are instead generated a set distance behind the character.
*Attempting to collect a secret coin will have the character travel right through it as if it were a decoration.
*Decorations do not pulsate to the beat as the main song does not play during practice mode.
*Cycles, xStep and Clubstep are the only levels that reward icons upon completion in practice mode.
*RobTop stated that maybe he will let users unlock one or two more Practice Songs in the future.
Theory of Everything 2, often referred to as ToE 2, is the eighteenth and currently the last official level in Geometry Dash. It is also the second official Demon-rated level, preceded by Clubstep, and was released alongside Blast Processing.

Description
Theory of Everything 2's music is the sequel for the Theory of Everything theme. This level introduces Wave sequences at double speed as well as a mini Wave sequence at slow speed. It's the second level to introduce the Wave feature and the first level to introduce the mini Wave.
Secret Coin Location
* The first secret coin is located at the first mini ship sequence. After you go through an inverted-gravity portal, immediately hold then let go. You will go down then get back up to the normal-gravity portal. If you go down too low, you will hit a spike or a block.
* The second secret coin is located at the second wave sequence. After you maneuver through the third diagonal hallway, try to make your wave form go down through a small entrance to get the secret coin. It is one of the hardest coins to get, as it also requires precision and control to complete the Wave after collecting the coin, as the wave is at double speed and the opening is extremely tiny for the Wave to enter.
* The third secret coin is hidden above the course. After you exit the reversed gravity ship section (the one after the slowed cube sequence), jump on the two jump rings, even the one marked with an "X". If you do this, you will land on a platform. Then perform a jump, collect the coin, and jump again on the edge of the platform to exit safely before you enter the last UFO sequence. This sounds easy, but it is hard without practice, since the timing is critical. If you do not jump at the edge, you will land before the platform and die. Since this part is fast-paced, it is also quite difficult to jump off the edge of a platform. If you are too late, the cube will just fall off the platform without making the jump and you will also die.

Trivia
* In Theory of Everything, all of the portals that existed when the course was released could be found in the level. However, in Theory of Everything 2, there are not any mirror and dual portals (mirror portals were last used in Electroman Adventures, and dual portals were last used in Blast Processing).
* In the half-pipe at the end, a monster that resembles the monsters in the Update 2.0 preview can be seen with an eye (blue ring) and an open mouth to slide through.
** The icon unlocked for completing Theory of Everything 2 also resembles the Update 2.0 monsters, and it resembles the Blast Processing icon. The only difference is that the ToE 2 icon has more "teeth".
*Completing the level takes about 1:32. However, if you use the first UFO speed glitch (refer to errors), it will take around 1:30 to complete.
** This level and Hexagon Force are the only offical levels to include a slow speed portal.

Errors
* The level's very first 'pillar' that hangs from the sky can be seen slightly unfilled during a crash, but it requires crucial timing to see. See here for picture.
* There is an error at the start of the level. If timed correctly, you can jump on the second yellow ring (which is covered by an X) and the continue to jump on the third yellow ring (without an X). But if you do this, you will crash. See here for more info.
* There are a couple of design errors. If you only hit the second yellow pad and then look at the upside down wall on the left, you will notice that it appears to be broken. Also, during the slow ship segment, at about 39%, there is a design error where one of the shaded blocks is slightly pushed to the left.
* There is an error in the first mini ship section of this level. You can skip the third gravity portal and the slow speed portal by going under them. If you skip the speed portal, however, crucial timing will be needed to pass the UFO sequence that follows. If you manage to pass it, the music will be out of sync.
** In the final mini UFO part, it is also possible to skip the gravity portal by going under it.
** In practice mode, it is possible to go through the jump pads before the final mini UFO part in such a way that the UFO's gravity would be reversed.
* There is a 'secret path' in the mini ship section after the second wave segment. You can skip the cube portal and remain a mini ship. At 80%, you will still be a mini ship. However, when you reach the cube, you will remain mini and die because you cannot make the first jump of that section. See this video
* If you do not jump on the last blue ring on the slow cube, you will fall to the ceiling and crash as there is no saw blade.
Update 1.9 was the ninth major update to Geometry Dash. It was officially released to the public on November 9, 2014.

Previews
Prior to the release of Update 1.8, Topala said in a conversation at Touch Arcade Forums, "I have a lot of ideas for Update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8... muahaha!"

* August 13, 2014: Topala posts his first Update 1.9 preview image, which shows five icons wearing different-colored headphones. This makes way for much anticipation throughout the Geometry Dash community and results in theories involving soundtrack changes within a level and new game modes.

* August 26, 2014: Topala publishes another image depicting three-dimensional blocks, arousing much excitement among Geometry Dash players.

* August 28, 2014: Topala continues with the three-dimensional idea, posting a picture on Facebook about what could be built using the blocks.

* September 6, 2014: Another image is posted through Topala's social media accounts, featuring several different map components that could be used in future Geometry Dash levels. This includes two new icons, gear-like obstacles, and various different unknown types of blocks. The most prominent feature is a new thick blue portal that would likely result in the introduction of a new game mode.

* September 14, 2014: Topala posts another image to social media, hinting the soundtracks for the upcoming levels. It has a blast and processor (which was later confirmed to be Blast Processing by Waterflame) and a book, an infinity symbol, and the number 2 (which in truth hinted to Theory of Everything 2 by DJ Nate). The latter was correctly theorized to be a demon level, following similar lines to Update 1.6.

* September 21, 2014: Another image is posted through Facebook and Twitter. It previews a new custom music feature that would allow players to include music from Newgrounds in their custom levels. The image includes ten icons with headphones at the bottom. It is the first picture to indicate that the update was a work in progress. Upon the release of the image, Topala says that a sneak peek video for the next levels would be coming soon.

* September 28, 2014: Topala officially releases the first Update 1.9 sneak peek video, which shows the first 21 seconds of a beta version of Blast Processing. As seen in the video, the new blue portal changes the icon to an arrow-like object with physics similar to those seen in the mobile game, Wave Wave.

* October 10, 2014: Topala releases another sneak peek video featuring the second level, Theory of Everything 2. In this video, a new background and a new design of ship is used. Topala is also playing the game on his computer, indicating that he may have been using the future Steam version.

* October 18, 2014: Topala confirms that the update would be released soon after he had fixed a minor issues in the backup and music systems. He also says he is working on the Steam version, and hints on Update 2.0, stating that he will continue improving the user account system devised in 1.9.

* November 4, 2014: Topala posts that the update is submitted for review and is waiting to be accepted.

* November 9, 2014,: Nearly three months after Update 1.9 was first mentioned, Topala confirms the release of 1.9 and states that it will be released to iOS and Android devices around the same time, and the Steam version would be released as soon as possible.

* November 13, 2014: Update 1.9 is released to the Windows Phone, App Store, and several other mobile devices.

* November 14, 2014: Update 1.91 is released to all devices. This is a minor update that fixes a few bugs.

* November 15, 2014: Update 1.9 is released on Amazon devices.

* January 18, 2015: Update 1.92 is released to the Play Store. This includes some new options and fixes a few custom soundtrack bugs.

* February 12, 2015: Update 1.93 is released to the Play Store. This is a minor update that includes some bugfixes.
* February 16, 2015: Update 1.93 is released to App Store.

Geometry Dash Lite Introductions
*New level "Time Machine"!

*Bugfixes and tweaks

Trivia
* The new arrow-like form, known as the Wave, was inspired by the mechanics of the mobile game Wave Wave. It is supposed the concept was brought to light by a popular Geometry Dash player, TheRealDarnoc, who created a level (also named Wave Wave), mimicking its mechanics using condensed groups of gravity rings and the UFO.
* This is the first update to include a sequel of a main level song: Theory of Everything 2
* This is the second update that includes two new main levels. (1.6 with Electroman Adventures and Clubstep, and now 1.9 with Blast Processing and Theory of Everything 2.)
* Both Update 1.6 and Update 1.9 featured music from both Waterflame and DJ Nate.
* This update included a notably smaller amount of new customizations, even when including the Steam exclusive icons.
Prior to the release of the 1.8 update, Topala said in a conversation at Touch Arcade Forums:

<blockquote>"I have a lot of ideas for update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8... muahaha"
</blockquote>

Topala posted his first sneak preview image on August 13, 2014, showing five icons wearing different-colored headphones. This made way for much anticipation through the Geometry Dash community, resulting in theories involving soundtrack changes within a level and new game modes.

On August 26, 2014, Topala created another image depicting three-dimensional blocks, arousing much excitement among Geometry Dash players. He continued with the idea on August 28, posting a picture on Facebook about what could be built using the blocks.

On September 6, 2014, another image was posted through Topala's social media accounts featuring several different new map components that would be used in future levels of Geometry Dash. This included two new icons, gear-like obstacles, and various different unknown types of blocks. The most prominent feature was a new thick blue portal that would likely result in another game mode being introduced. It was also released to the public that Topala would release the game to Steam, a popular internet-based social media platform.

On September 14, 2014, Topala released an image on Facebook. It has a blast and processor for Blast Processing by Waterflame and a book, an infinity symbol, and a "2" for Theory of Everything 2 by DJ Nate, with the later likely to be the demon level, following similar lines to Update 1.6.

On September 21, 2014, another image was posted through Facebook and Twitter for the new "Custom Music" feature that will allow players to include music from Newgrounds in their custom levels. The image includes 10 icons with headphones at the bottom. It was the first picture to indicate that the update was work in progress. Upon the release of the image, Topala said that a sneak peek video for the next levels would be coming soon.

On September 28, 2014, Topala officially released the sneak peek video. The new, blue portal changed the icon to an arrow-like object similar to Wave Wave. It featured the level Blast Processing.

On October 10, 2014, he released another sneak peek video featuring the second level, Theory of Everything 2. Upon closer look, the level had a gradient background and a new design of ship was used. Topala was also playing the game on his computer, indicating that he may have been using the future Steam version.

On October 18, 2014, Topala confirmed that the update would be released soon after he had fixed a minor issues in the backup and music systems. He also said he was working on the Steam version, and hinted on the Update 2.0, stating that he will continue improving the user account system devised in 1.9.

On November 4, 2014, Topala posted that the update was submitted for review and was waiting to be accepted.

On November 9, 2014, Topala confirmed the release of 1.9 and stated that it would release to iOS and Android devices around the same time, and the Steam version would be released as soon as possible.

On November 13,2014, Update 1.9 was released to the Windows Phone App Store.

Trivia
* The new arrow-like form, known as the Wave, was inspired by the mechanics of the mobile game Wave Wave. It is supposed the concept was brought to light by a popular player, Darnoc, who created a level (also named Wave Wave), mimicking its mechanics using condensed groups of gravity rings with the UFO.Now another user IGForcer99 is trying to make the full level with the wave but how he posted on TouchArcade the mini-wave was so uncontrollable that he crashed on 28%.
* This is the first update that included a second version of a main level song: Theory of Everything 2
* This is the second update that includes two new main levels. (1.6 with Electroman Adventures and Clubstep, and now 1.9 with Blast Processing and Theory of Everything 2)
* Both updates also featured a background music track from both Waterflame and DJ Nate.
* Some people thought that Eternity would be the second level after Blast Processing, but that was later proven false when the Theory of everything 2 preview came out.
* Many users thought that the update would be released on Halloween, but their predictions were later revealed to be incorrect.
