Description
Clutterfunk is often regarded as a relatively difficult level. It has many traps and introduces new obstacles and sawblades. Some of them are the mini ball tight timings, the "hall-based" rocket segments, and the mini cube sequences. This level added more aesthetics such as the gear-like decorations and introduced two new block variants.

Clutterfunk also introduces the size portals which shrink or enlarge the player's icon in the different forms, which make the player jump at a different height depending on the size. The speed of the player does not change when changing sizes, even though the mini cube looks like it is going faster than the normal sized cube.

Secret Coins
* When encountering the first ship portal, avoid the obstacles and carefully go up above the spikes to collect the coin.
* In the enlarged second ship, go through two gravity portals and carefully go through a 1 block wide spot to obtain the coin. Then go through a blue gravity portal and continue as normal.
* The third coin is located under the mini-cube sequence. When you are shrunken, go up two staircase-like blocks, then get launched up and tap four times up on yellow rings. Instead of tapping four times, tap three times and let go, immediately hold again, then tap on the blue ring, then continue to the level.

Walkthrough
Trivia
* The first 43 seconds of the real Clutterfunk soundtrack is clipped, possibly due to level length, making Clutterfunk one of the only two levels not to begin as it begins in the full soundtrack. The other one is Polargeist.
* Along with Electroman Adventures, Clutterfunk also unlocks a ship when it is completed in normal mode.
* It takes 1:39 to complete the level.
* This is the first level to have the line change color. If you look carefully enough, you will see the line change to black in the first mini-cube section. It changes back to white in the first ship section.
Description
xStep introduces blue pads and blue rings/circles on the regular path. The icon assumes three different forms through the level— the cube, rocket, and gravity ball. It is similar to Cycles in difficulty and features multiple tight rocket scenes. xStep is also the level that uses the greatest number of blue pads out of any official level in the game, present throughout almost the entire second ship scene. The blue pad in the second ship scene acts as a hazard, which will impair the player to the spikes thus, destroying them. The level also introduces full checker bricks and another block. The level also introduces wavy platforms along with the wavy thorns. Later in the level, blue rings are introduced which invert the gravity of the cube if tapped.

Secret Coins
*The first secret coin is located in the first ship sequence. After the last thorn-ball before a stepped wall, carefully fly just above the thorn ball, and when you pass it, go down a bit to collect the secret coin. Immediately fly up to clear the wall quickly, but try not to crash above.
*The second secret coin is located in the second ship sequence. In the last part of it, when the passage starts going up again, maneuver your ship into a small hole. Make sure you go down at least 2 tiles or you will crash on the floor of the passage above you. Hold up to go out the hole in the other end, go back to the normal rou and go through a cube portal shortly afterward.
*The last coin is in the cube sequence after the second ship one. After flipping gravity three times, your cube will approach a gravity pad that is slightly elevated with some spikes before it. You have to miss the gravity pad and the spikes. If you jump from too far away, you will hit the gravity pad, which is the normal route. Once you have achieved a far enough jump, get ready to tap on a mid-air gravity ring, otherwise you will crash into a suspended platform with spikes on it. Once you have done that, you will reach the coin and fall into the regular route. Immediately jump again to clear off a jump ring.

Walkthrough
Trivia
*xStep is one of the two levels to grant cube icons for both practice mode and normal. The other one is Cycles.
*xStep is the only level name to begin with a lowercase letter.
**xStep is also the shortest level name, containing 5 letters.
*The wavy platforms were officially introduced in this level, although they are in several coin paths in the first 6 levels.
*xStep marks the gradual introduction of many new map components including blocks, pits, and cosmetics.
*xStep, Electroman Adventures, and Blast Processing all reward 10 stars when completed, although xStep and Electroman Adventures have the higher rating of "Insane" while Blast Processing has "Harder".

*xStep formally introduces the blue jump pad, however, they are used to collect secret coins in Back on Track and Polargeist.
*The level takes 1:24 to complete.
*xStep is the only level after Time Machine and before Clubstep to not contain a mirror portal.
*xStep is the first level to have small spikes

Description
Theory of Everything contains blue gravity rings, pink and yellow jump rings, all three colours of jump pads, rocket portals, ball portals, size portals, gravity portals, and mirror portals. The obstacles are challenging, and the orange UFO portals are introduced.

Secret Coins
* The first secret coin is located in the first UFO sequence. When you enter the UFO portal, find the skinny column hanging from the ceiling. A large gap can be seen. You must tap multiple times to go past a sawblade and then go through the gap to collect the coin.
* The second secret coin is located in the second shrunken ship sequence. After going past two large blocks with spikes, carefully slip under the third. You must be extremely careful, as not only are there thorns on the floor, but there are also small spikes on the underside of the large block. Once you have made it past the block, collect the coin and go on the normal path.
* The third coin is located in the final cube sequence, after the mini-UFO sequence. After the first jump in the cube sequence, you will reach two jump rings, which you should hit. However, on the following platform, there is a yellow jump pad on the second half of the platform. Jump over this, and you will fall down to collect the coin. Quickly tap to hit a jump ring, and continue on the path.

Trivia
* This level, Time Machine, Dry Out, Can't Let Go, Clutterfunk and Blast Processing are the only levels where you can hear speech in the background music.(You can hear "Get down" at the black background when the cube goes up, after the Small ship mode.)
*Although Theory of Everything, Electrodynamix, and Hexagon Force have the same difficulty rating and reward the same number of stars upon completion, Electrodynamix is generally classed to be harder compared to the other two.
* This level is one of the most vertical levels among the main levels, most notable before the second UFO section.
*Strangely, the icon this level gives you after completion resembles the obstacles from the first ship sequence in Clutterfunk and the final UFO sequence in Theory of Everything 2.
* Update 1.9 contains Theory of Everything 2,which is first level that is a sequel of another main level in Geometry Dash.
* Besides UFOs, purple jump pads and rings and thorns with vines, the level also introduces an object that allows you to color the the lines on objects.
* This level has all hazards before 1.6 (hence the name of the level).
* This level is the last level to use the classic styled thorns.
* This is the only level where thorns with vines appear; however the shrubs appear again in Hexagon Force.
* This level introduces large decals - the ones in this level are arrows, question marks, and exclamation points. They are found at the first ship part and the UFO parts, where there are several paths. The correct path is marked with an arrow, while the other paths are marked with an exclamation mark (!). Enter the right one to continue the level. Enter the wrong one and you'll meet with an instant dead end.
* The level takes 1:26 to complete.
* The second coin is one of the hardest to get, as the mini ship is more sensitive than its original size. The coin that is considerably hardest to get is the second coin in Theory of Everything 2.
* This is the first level that has BG color changing only when you get to specific places. When there are three paths, if you go to the wrong path the BG color will change to red, however if you go to the correct one, it won't.

Description
This level starts with a few simple jumps, then becomes considerably harder with faster speed, flashing colors and invisible spikes.

Electrodynamix introduces the speed portals, but only two are shown on the level, the double speed (green) and the triple speed (pink). You start the level with normal speed, then the double speed starts, while half way in the level, the triple speed is triggered, making it significantly harder.

This level has some new features as well. The colors of the background on the first rocket and UFO paths are the same as the player's primary and secondary colors, so be careful. Bright colors make the UFO path very hard since the spikes are hard to be seen, so it is advised to use darker colors.

The hardest parts of this level are the rocket segments during triple speed and mini mode. It generally takes lots of tries (on practice mode) to handle the control of the rocket while passing narrow paths, so you have to be very careful on the rocket.

Secret Coins
* At the first shrunken UFO, slide through two gears that contain the secret coin. An alternate way to get it is to go under it and press 4 times to get it.
* After the ball section, jump two blue jump rings and not the yellow one. Get the secret coin and jump to keep going.
* After the shrunken ball section, jump on the purple and yellow jump ring and not the blue one. Then immediately jump on the blue gravity pad to get the secret coin, then jump again to keep going. Correct timing and practice is required.
Trivia
* Besides the level which introduces the Speed Portals, this level also introduces the mechanic which the background color is the same as the player's colors (mostly notable on the first rocket path and the UFO path).
* Electrodynamix is the first level without a secret coin in a ship segment of the level.
* Electrodynamix is the first level to introduce the blocks with colors.
* Electrodynamix is the first level to come after a level rated more difficult than itself (Clubstep).

* Due to the faster speeds present which lengthened the level, Electrodynamix is the only level where you can crash at 99% (Crash at the last spike to achieve 99%). This used to be the criteria for the "So Close..." achievement until Update 1.9, which nerfed the progress needed to 95%.

Update 1.8 is an update in Geometry Dash that was released on August 7, 2014. It primarily added Hexagon Force and introduced slope ground objects.

Introductions
The most noticeable introduction into the full version was the addition of Hexagon Force, which was seen in the sneak peek of the update. This level marked the first appearance of the diagonal blocks, which allowed the icon to travel in different directions. Within Hexagon Force were the brand-new copy portals, which made way for the revolutionary dual character game mode. This mode required players to control multiple icons at once.

Outside of the new level, the 1.8 update introduced four new icons and several other colors. This included the achievements given for tapping the icons on the home screen. New kinds of spikes and decorations could also be added using level editor, while users could change the background theme from squares to hexagons or circles. More blocks were also added, as shown in the sneak peek. In level editor, creators can also add a character guide line showing the path of the character. It could also be made so that two players could play on the same screen, with both playing on different halves.

In Geometry Dash Lite, the level Jumper was introduced for the first time. It was also considered one of the easier insane levels in the full version, and became the second level in the free version to have an insane difficulty. In the 1.9 update, the difficulty of Jumper was changed to harder, and Can't Let Go was changed to hard.

Trivia
* RobTop had some ideas for the 1.90 update. That's what he said in a post of Touch Arcade Forums:
"I have been building level 16 using the desktop version of Geometry Dash with all the new tools, the speed and workflow is a lot faster.

Playing in the editor works by pressing a play button, the player will then spawn at the last startpos and is controllable. He will also leave a trail behind him that shows his movement pattern that you can then use as a guide when building.

You can toggle on/off camera follow, and if you want the music to play in sync. There is also a new music play/pause button that will play the music and show a moving line that represents the position that matches the music. The music will always start to the left of the editor window, so you can quickly go through a level and sync it to music.

<u>I have a lot of ideas for update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8... muahaha</u>"
* In the level editor, the Copy Portal appears without the a line on the triangle, but if you play the level , copy portal appears normal, like all the other portals (but speed portals).
* If you look closely at the sneak peek picture with the dual portals and slants, on the left side you san see a line going through the second type of slant, although this never happens in the game.
It is generally regarded as the easiest stage in the game, being one of two levels rated easy along with Back on Track. Stereo Madness is also featured in Geometry Dash Lite.

Description
Stereo Madness begins with a basic cube sequence featuring spikes and simple jumping patterns. It continues with an introductory sequence of the ship form. The next cube sequence is slightly harder, also introducing triple spike sets which are encountered twice. The level ends after finishing with another ship sequence.

Secret coins
*The first secret coin is located immediately after the first ship sequence by jumping twice up the first two columns, sliding through a gap in the third column and jumping again. Alternatively, jumping thrice up the first three columns and sliding down under the fourth also works. The background is purple where the coin is found.
*The second secret coin is located roughly midway through the section with the red background. After travelling upon four adjacent thin platforms, jump four times up onto a line of descending blocks which would normally be travelled beneath. To safely collect the coin, jump off the second last block to avoid a short spike on the last block.
*The third secret coin is oddly situated above the main passage during the final ship sequence. After avoiding the first roof obstacle, enter a small crevice just before the second roof obstacle, free of an extra block. The screen will shift and turn red to reveal a narrow upper section with very close-contained spikes. There is a safe break about three quarters of the way through, before one last spike section, followed by clearance to the third coin and an alternate finish.
* Reaching the end of the third secret coin passage is the only instance where the player can divert from the main passage and end somewhere different. *Completing the level takes 1 minute and 29 seconds.
* The path to the third secret coin is the only one with a form portal.

Theory of Everything is the twelfth official level of Geometry Dash. It is the third insane level as of Update 1.9.

Description
Theory of Everything contains blue gravity rings, pink and yellow jump rings, all three colours of jump pads, rocket portals, ball portals, size portals, gravity portals, and mirror portals. The obstacles are challenging and the orange UFO portals are introduced.

Trivia
*Along with Electroman Adventures, Theory of Everything has every portal (before 1.7).
* This level, Time Machine, Dry Out, Can't Let Go, and Blast Processing are the only levels where you can hear speech in the background music.
*Although Theory of Everything, Electrodynamix, and Hexagon Force have the same difficulty rating and reward the same number of stars upon completion, Electrodynamix is harder compared to the other two.
*A secret passage can be found in this level (it is found after the second UFO sequence... there are two ways to access it).
*Strangely, the icon this level gives you after completion resembles the obstacles from the first ship sequence in Clutterfunk.
* Update 1.90 contains Theory of Everything 2, which is first level that is version 2 of some other RobTop's level. ToE 2 is also demon, which is like in NepTune's levels (if original is insane, v2 is demon).
* Besides UFOs, purple jump pads and rings and thorns with vines, the level also introduces an object that allows you to color the the lines on objects.
* This level has all hazards before 1.6 (Hence the name of the level)
* This level is the last level to use the classic styled thorns.
* This is the only level where thorns with vines appear, however the shrubs appear again in Hexagon Force.
* There was a second level based on this.
It is generally regarded as the easiest stage in the game, hence it is the only main level rated as easy. Stereo Madness is also a level in Geometry Dash Lite.

*The first secret coin is located immediately after the first ship sequence by jumping twice up the first two columns, sliding through to a gap in the third column and jumping again. Alternatively, jumping thrice up the first three columns and sliding down under the fourth also works. The background is purple where the coin is found.
*The second secret coin is located roughly midway through the section with the red background. After travelling upon four adjacent thin platforms, jump four times up onto a line of descending blocks which would normally be travelled in between.

Trivia
*Completing the level takes approximately 1 minute 29 seconds.
*Reaching the end of the third secret coin passage is the only instance where the player can divert from the main passage and end somewhere different
* The small spikes in the secret coin area aren't supposed to be there until Clutterfunk.
It is also the tenth insane difficulty level but in update 1.9 according to RobTop it's difficulty will change to a Harder level and it will be worth 10 stars.

It is the newest main level in Geometry Dash.

Introduction
On June 30, 2014, Robert Topala posted a sneak peek image on Twitter, reading Can You Guess the Next Song? The image also displayed pictures of a water drop, flame, and a hexagon. Topala referred to the popular video game music composer on YouTube, Waterflame, who had published the tune, Hexagon Force, on March 1, 2014. Blast Processing is the level after Hexagon Force.

Description
Hexagon Force begins with a brief cube scene, followed by a speed portal and rocket portal. Subsequently, the icon turns into a gravity ball, and the player makes first contact with the new blocks having diagonal surfaces. Later on, Hexagon Force introduces the brand new copy portals, which "clones" the icon with reversed colors. With the copy portal in action, the player is then forced to maneuver using the rocket. Throughout the level, multiple copy portals are included, and the icon transforms into every object in the game. Hexagon Force is also the first official level to introduce the slow and normal speed portals, which are shown along some rocket scenes. Hexagon Force also features every portal except Mirror Portals.

Rewards
Completing the level without flaws in practice mode will unlock the dark grey primary color and the achievement, Hexagonest. If the player is capable of winning on normal mode, they would earn the achievement Hexagon Force! The icon unlocked is also similar in appearance to Creeper from the sandbox game, Minecraft. Flawlessly finishing the level would take under 1 minutes and 40 seconds.
Clearing the dual sections
The introduction of the copy portal brings yet another challenge to increasingly difficult levels. It is almost always overwhelming when first encountered, but like all things, can be beaten once properly understood. What is especially important to know is that practice makes perfect, and coincidentally, there is a practice mode which provides the opportunity to make it perfect, all down to experience. Take advantage of practice mode to correctly learn the maneuvers. Another incredibly useful tip is to focus on the one icon. Trying to track two things at once is already harder than what the level really is. Determine at which points movements occur in order to efficiently control both icons.
Cube section
The dual cube section is divided into two segments. Three successive jumps from the first lower spikes with a pause, followed by another three jumps clears the first segment. When launched into the second segment, begin with two synchronised jumps on jump rings. Next, direct attention to the lower cube, and jump when aligned with the indicator arrow and once more from the jump ring. Immediately direct attention to the upper cube and do the same, keeping accurate to the position of the second arrow. This can be particularly difficult to time correctly, so remember to practice to improve understanding. Four jumps from the first arrow. This completes the cube sequence.
First ship section
Never try to focus on both ships. They are normally symmetrically aligned and therefore focusing on one will safely navigate the other. From the dual cube section, quickly hold down to send each ship towards the sides of the map before they are directed to the center, and remain there to avoid the spiked walls. Prepare to dodge a central obstacle, then shift to the center for a moment before pressing apart again, where you can rest as the ships travel along a safe divider through the middle, emerging to complete the sequence.
Ball section
As well as being fragile to manoeuvre, the balls are also shrunken. The way the game's mechanics work means the speed remains constant in both enlarged and shrunken states, making the shrunken state appear considerably faster in comparison. Due to this, it serves to know exactly what happens to both balls since there is not enough time to interpret the position of obstacles as they arrive. From the UFO sequence, the balls must pass over a small gap by switching sides just a moment after changing form. What happens next is the lower ball is launched into the air, and in that time the upper ball must flip twice over an oncoming saw before the launched ball lands. There is an indicator arrow which marks the first flip point before having to return immediately once clear of the saw. In a similar manner, the lower ball must flip over a saw while the upper ball is sent airborne. Take care after as both balls are swiftly launched by jump pads onto several synchronised jump rings very quickly. It can also occur the balls being sent there themselves prematurely from switching gravity, even having both balls share a single jump ring if the timing is slightly out. The sequence can still be cleared safely, approaching another ship sequence while still shrunken.

Trivia
* When this level was added, the quake effect was added to dying.
* The icon unlocked when completing the level in Normal mode was inspired by Creepers from the popular video game Minecraft
* The Achievement Hexagonest may be a reference to the Game Super Hexagon
