Introduced along with Electroman Adventures, and giving 14 stars upon completion, Clubstep is commonly recognized as one of the hardest official levels in normal mode, the other one being Theory of Everything 2 (introduced in update 1.9).

Description
Clubstep is currently one of the two Demon levels in the Geometry Dash levels list, which are unlockable. Many of the obstacles require going in or around so-called demons. Clubstep introduces lots of new features, including invisible spikes and invisible blocks.

Secret coins
*The first coin can be found at one of the first antigravity sections: it is clearly visible. There will be a series of three jump rings, and you must hit the second one to slide through the wall opening containing the coin. This is considered to be easier than going the normal route.

*The second coin can be found near the beginning of the second mini UFO part. Immediately after switching into mini UFO, quickly tap many times to jump up into a hidden passage above the one you would normally take. Dodge five small near-invisible spikes and get the coin.

*The last coin can be found at the end of the level. When you reach the last set of monsters in ship mode, the first monster will have no floor. Slip through this opening, fly under four tiny spinning blades.

Trivia
*Clubstep has 6 ship portals, however it only has one ball portal and two UFO portals.
* Most levels give a color in Practice mode, and an icon in Normal mode. Clubstep, however, gives a secondary black color as a reward for Normal mode and a UFO for completing it in Practice mode.
*However, the Steam version introduced another icon for completing Clubstep. (The achievement name is SteamStep! Also, In update 1.9.2, the Steam icons were brought to the mobile version, enabling this icon for all players.)
*However, on mobile it's a secret: The icon is hidden. First, you need to complete Clubstep in normal mode on Steam version, and sync it with your mobile account. You will not get this icon by completing this on mobile.
*The name "Clubstep" is a pun on dubstep, which is the type of music playing during the level, along with electronic.
*If you jump right before the first ship portal instead of hitting the gravity pad, you can fly upside down in the first part of the flying section.
* At 53 seconds and 63 seconds into the level there are large unfilled areas, another indication the level was rushed through.
* If you hold down right from the start of the level, you will jump above the yellow pad and then you'll jump again from the block that near it, even though there's a spike on it. With a bit of practice, the level can then be normally continued.
* Theory of Everything 2 and Clubstep give the same amount of stars and they are both demon difficulty levels, but Clubstep requires 20 coins to unlock, while Theory of Everything 2 requires 30.
* Although the level is named Clubstep in the menu, the name of the soundtrack as shown in Newgrounds is Club Step (with a space in the middle), making it the only level with an edited name.
* Clubstep is currently the level with the earliest secret coin, with the first coin appearing at 9%. After Clubstep is Electroman Adventures, which has a first coin appearing at 10%, and then Time Machine, first coin appearing at 13%.

Errors
* Just before the first ship portal on the invisible blocks, a gap in the map can be seen at the bottom of the screen, a likely result of copy and paste indicates that the level may have been rushed through.
* If you jump right before the first ship portal instead of hitting the gravity pad, you can fly upside down in the first part of the flying section.
* At 53 seconds and 63 seconds into the level there are large unfilled areas, another indication the level was rushed through.
* If you hold down right from the start of the level, you will jump above the yellow pad and then you'll jump again from the block near it, even though there's a spike on it. With a bit of practice, the level can then be normally continued.
* After the mini-UFO and mini ship, you hit three gravity jump pads and continue so forth. Right when you are going to hit the blue gravity pad, you don't actually have to hit it, so you'll have one less jump.
* At the first part with gravity spheres, you can actually skip the purple one by jumping late.
* During the mini cube sequence, one of the blue pads and rings can be skipped with a jump.
* During said sequence, it is also possible to fall out of the world, as seen here.
* Near the end of the first mini-cube sequence, there are two yellow jump rings, where the player is supposed to miss the first one and hit the second. However, by hitting the previous gravity ring late, it's possible to skip both these rings entirely and continue as normal.

The Level Editor is a feature of Geometry Dash that gives the player the building of User created levels as well as being able to share them with other players.

Initial selections
Level Name
The level's title can be changed by clicking on the box with dim text reading "Level Name" on the top of the screen. Creators are limited to a name that is 19 characters long (including spaces). As of 1.9, the two official level names that cannot be used are Theory of Everything 2 and Electroman Adventures, both with which must be written by taking out spaces. Because of this, all Theory of Everything remakes use "ToE" to signify the level name.

Level Description
The level's description is also another option that can be changed at the initial page of level editor. This feature is optional, unlike the title, and is generally left blank by casual creators. The description can be far longer than titles, although its length is very limited as well. Descriptions for expert creators often promote the other levels made under their username.

Getting started
Initially in the process of creating a level, users will see several grid lines and colored orange vertical lines. The colored lines indicate the background music beat. Players can add blocks and other items using the control panel on the bottom of the screen. Multiple pages are available.

Options
There are multiple settings that are configurable in the level: music, background and ground colors, speed, starting object, etc.

Music can be modified very easily, but Stereo Madness is set by default. In order to change the background song, users must tap the gear button in the upper right-hand corner and click the arrows next to the song name. Any official songs can be chosen. The 1.9 update will introduce the feature that will allow creators to use music from Newgrounds.

In order to change the level's color themes, players are also required to tap on the gear button, and simply tap the letters "BG" or "Ground" to do so. A color wheel will pop up on the screen, and users must slide the dots until their desired color appears. To change the background color in midway go to build mode and hit the tab at the right end. There should be three colored circles that say BG. The default color it gives you when you hit that area is white but there is an easy way to fix this. At the right it should say edit object and it should give you a color wheel.

Update 1.7 introduced the starting object button, which allows the creator to modify if the player starts with a cube, rocket, gravity ball, or UFO. The size, color of the line, line around blocks and spikes, and glow, can also easily be altered. The background pattern could also be modified and set to circles and squares.

After Update 1.8 and the addition of the level Hexagon Force, the background could be changed to hexagons. This update was also revolutionary to the number of decorations that could be used. It also allowed players to easily test their levels without having to click the play button. They could also hear the soundtrack and have the assistance of colored lines in level editor. These features could be used by clicking the yellow or blue buttons on the left-hand side of the screen.

Selection tabs
There are ten different tabs for spikes, blocks, platforms, gears, portals, sloped, decoration, more decoration, moving objects, and background objects.

Miscellaneous
These are special options which mostly do not have.

Start Position
*Start Position: Repositions the icon starting position elsewhere. Special options can determine the icon's attributes including forms or portal effects. Placing a starting position ahead of another will override any existing ones.
* Note that you cannot verify a level if you have a start position.

Colour Options
*BG: Modifies the background colour and transitions. Can also override the ground colour.
*Object: Modifies objects' outline colour and transitions.
*C Object: Modifies objects' body colour and transitions.
*Line: Modifies the ground's outline colour and transitions.
*Ground: Modifies the ground's body colour and transitions.

Object Sequencers
*Cube: Starts the level out in the cube form.
*Ship: Starts the level out in the ship form.
*Ball: Starts the level out in the ball form.
*UFO: Starts the level out in the UFO form.
* Wave: Starts the level out in Wave form.

Trivia
* Out of the six BG and Ground textures, only four have been used in default levels: the standard "blocky" texture (used in Stereo Madness through Clubstep), the "Bubble" texture (used in Electrodynamix), the Hexagon texture (used in Hexagon Force and Blast Processing) and the Vortex texture (used in Theory of Everything 2)
* There are eight kinds of difficulty levels in a custom level. N/A (not approved), Auto, Easy, Normal, Hard, Harder, Insane, and Demon.
Update 1.9 is a confirmed update for Geometry Dash. It will be out for Android, Windows Phone, Amazon Devices,IOS) The update has not been submitted yet, rumors about the update today though

The level Blast Processing has been confirmed along with Theory of Everything 2.

Prior to the release of the 1.8 update, Robert Topala said in a conversation at Touch Arcade Forums:
<blockquote>"I have a lot of ideas for update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8... muahaha"
</blockquote>

Previews<strong> </strong>
Topala posted his first sneak preview image, showing five icons wearing different-colored headphones. It was revealed in a future hint image that it represented the custom music option and likely the icons may not get headphones.

On August 26, 2014, Topala created another image depicting three-dimensional blocks, arousing much excitement among Geometry Dash players. He continued with the idea on August 28, posting a picture on Facebook about what could be built using the blocks.

On September 6, 2014, another image was posted through Topala's social media accounts featuring several different new map components that would be used in future levels of Geometry Dash. This included two new icons, gear-like obstacles, and various different unknown types of blocks. The most prominent feature was a new thick blue portal that would likely result in another game mode being introduced. It was also released to the public that Topala would release the game to Steam, a popular internet-based social media platform.

On September 14, 2014, RobTop released an image on Facebook. It has a blast and processor for Blast Processing by Waterflame and a book, an infinity symbol, and a "2" for Theory of Everything 2 by DJ Nate, with the latter likely to be the demon level, following similar lines to Update 1.6.

On September 21, 2014, another image was posted through Facebook and Twitter for the new "Custom Music" feature that will allow players to include music from Newgrounds in their custom levels. The image includes 10 icons with headphones at the bottom. It was the first picture to indicate that the update was work in progress. Upon the release of the image, Topala said that a sneak peek video for the next levels would be coming soon.

On September 28, 2014, Topala officially released the sneak peek video. The new, blue portal changed the icon to an arrow-like object similar to Wave Wave. It featured the level Blast Processing.

On October 10, 2014, he also officially released another sneak peek video featuring the level, Theory of Everything 2. Upon closer look, the sneak peek has a background tunnel-like and a new design of ship was used. Topala was also using a mouse to do the video, indicating that he may have been using the to-be-released Steam version of the game.

On October 18, 2014, Topala confirmed that the update would be released soon after he had fixed a minor issues in the backup and music systems. He also said he was working on the Steam version, and hinted on the Update 2.0.
