Update 1.9 is the ninth major update to Geometry Dash. It was officially released to the public on November 9, 2014. As well as introducing two new levels, Blast Processing and Theory of Everything 2, the Wave game mode made its debut here, appearing in both of the aforementioned levels. The custom song function was also introduced, allowing players to use songs from the audio-sharing website Newgrounds in their custom levels.

Previews
Prior to the release of Update 1.8, Topala said in a conversation at Touch Arcade Forums, "I have a lot of ideas for Update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8......... muahaha!"
* August 13, 2014: Topala posts his first Update 1.9 preview image, which shows five icons wearing different-colored headphones. This makes way for much anticipation throughout the Geometry Dash community and results in theories involving soundtrack changes within a level and new game modes.
* August 26, 2014: Topala publishes another image depicting 3-D blocks, arousing much excitement among Geometry Dash players.
* August 28, 2014: Topala continues with the idea of 3-D blocks, posting a picture on Facebook about what could be built using them.
* September 6, 2014: Another image is posted through Topala's social media accounts, featuring several different map components that could be used in future Geometry Dash levels. This includes two new icons, gear-like obstacles, and various different unknown types of blocks. The most prominent feature is a new thick blue portal that would likely result in the introduction of a new game mode.
* September 14, 2014: Topala posts another image to social media, hinting the soundtracks for the upcoming levels. It has a blast and processor (which was later confirmed to be Blast Processing by Waterflame) and a book, an infinity symbol, and the number 2 (which in truth hinted to Theory of Everything 2 by both DJ Nate and F-777). The latter was correctly theorized to be a demon level, following similar lines to Update 1.6.
* September 21, 2014: Another image is posted through Facebook and Twitter. It previews a new custom music feature that would allow players to include music from Newgrounds in their custom levels. The image includes ten icons with headphones at the bottom. It is the first picture to indicate that the update was a work in progress. Upon the release of the image, Topala says that a sneak peek video for the next levels would be coming soon.
* September 28, 2014: Topala officially releases the first Update 1.9 sneak peek video, which shows the first 21 seconds of a beta version of Blast Processing. As seen in the video, the new blue portal changes the icon to an arrow-like object with physics similar to those seen in the mobile game, Wave Wave.
* October 10, 2014: Topala releases another sneak peek video featuring the second level, Theory of Everything 2. In this video, a new background and a new design of ship is used. Topala is also playing the game on his PC, indicating that he may have been using the future Steam version.
* October 18, 2014: Topala confirms that the update would be released soon after he had fixed a minor issues in the backup and music systems. He also says he is working on the Steam version, and hints on Update 2.0, stating that he will continue improving the user account system devised in 1.9.
* November 4, 2014: Topala posts that the update is submitted for review and is waiting to be accepted.
* November 9, 2014,: Nearly three months after Update 1.9 was first mentioned, Topala confirms the release of 1.9 and states that it will be released on iOS and Android devices around the same time, and the Steam version would be released as soon as possible.
* November 13, 2014: Update 1.9 is released on the Windows Phone, App Store, and several other mobile devices.
* November 14, 2014: Update 1.91 is released on all devices. This is a minor update that fixes a few bugs.
* November 15, 2014: Update 1.9 is released on Amazon devices.
* January 18, 2015: Update 1.92 is released on the Play Store. This includes some new options and fixes a few custom soundtrack bugs.
* February 12, 2015: Update 1.93 is released on the Play Store. This is a minor update that includes some bugfixes.
* February 16, 2015: Update 1.93 is released on the App Store.

Introductions
* New level "Blast Processing".
* New level "Theory of Everything 2".
* New "Wave" game mode.
Geometry Dash Lite Introductions
On February 5, 2015, Geometry Dash Lite was updated straight to version 1.91, which included the following:
*New level "Time Machine"!
*New achievements and rewards!
*Account system.
*Bugfixes and tweaks.

Trivia
* The new arrow-like form, known as the Wave, was inspired by the mechanics of the mobile game Wave Wave. It is supposed the concept was brought to light by a popular Geometry Dash player, TheRealDarnoc, who created a level (also named Wave Wave), mimicking its mechanics using condensed groups of gravity rings and the UFO.
* This is the first update to include a sequel of a main level song.
* This is the second update that includes two new main levels, the first one being Update 1.6
* Both Update 1.6 and Update 1.9 featured music from both Waterflame and DJ Nate.
** For some reason, this update is also the only one to have three composers instead of actuarial two. In this case F-777 did a collaboration with DJ Nate for Theory of Everything 2. (Proved in Newgrounds description for Theory Of Everything 2) This also lampshades F-777's level Deadlocked. which is in Update 2.0.
** Ironically, this is the first update to have two music features from Waterflame and F-777. The second one is Update 2.0.
* This Update included a notably smaller amount of new customizations, even when including the Steam exclusive icons.
* The Update 1.9.1 came along with a bug that is still being abused and it's the ability to finish a level without completing it and you delete it instead. It consists on holding the "Play" button and pressing the "X (Delete)" button and press "yes" at the same time you stop pressing the play button. The level will delete itself and you'll finish it, it looks like an empty level except for the difference that you get the stars the level is given. This results in a ban (permanent) if abused or gets noticed.
* The Top 100 is now filled with people who have abused this bug. However, RobTop is banning those people from the leaderboards from time to time.
* When 1.9 was released, you could get all the coins and reach a lot of stars by merging two accounts in one. This would happen if you had progress in an account and logged into another in the same device and loaded the progress with the older one running on the background; this would result in an account merge and the progress would sum.
* Blast Processing has the most differences between the official level and the sneak peek, all of which are decoration-related.
* At a later time, RobTop unfeatured all levels with copyrighted music.
* This is the only update that did not include any Map Packs since their creation.

Update 1.8 is an update in Geometry Dash that was released on August 7, 2014. It primarily added Hexagon Force, dual portals, and introduced slope ground objects.

Introductions
The most noticeable introduction into the full version was the addition of Hexagon Force, which was seen in the sneak peek of the update. This level marked the first appearance of the diagonal blocks, which allowed the icon to travel in different directions. Within Hexagon Force were the brand-new copy portals, which made way for the revolutionary dual character game mode. This mode required players to control multiple icons at once.

Outside of the new level, the 1.8 update introduced four new icons and several other colors. This included the achievements given for tapping the icons on the home screen. New kinds of spikes and decorations could also be added using level editor, while users could change the background theme from squares to hexagons or circles. More blocks were also added, as shown in the sneak peek. In level editor, creators can also add a character guide line showing the path of the character. It could also be made so that two players could play on the same screen, with both playing on different halves.

In Geometry Dash Lite, the level Jumper was introduced for the first time. It was also considered one of the easier insane levels in the full version, and became the second level in the free version to have an insane difficulty. In Update 1.9, the difficulty of Jumper was changed to harder, and Can't Let Go was changed to hard.

Trivia
* In the level editor, the Dual Portal appears without the a line on the triangle, but if you play the level , Dual Portal appears normal, like all the other portals (but speed portals).
*The third sneak peek picture contains an awkwardly-angled spike on the right side that is impossible to create as it was never introduced into the game.
*Update 1.8 is the only update to introduce a portal that isn't circular.
On August 12th, 2014, Geometry Dash Lite was updated to 1.8, which introduced the following:
*New level "Jumper"!
*New Achievements and rewards!

98.213.231.19:

Map Components are what the player has to navigate through in order to make it through the level. There are a number of varieties, some which are used as methods of travel, while others are intended to destroy the player on contact. The layout of these make every level unique and of varying difficulty.
Blocks
Blocks and other surfaces are the most common components and construct the basis of a level. There are many different shapes and sizes. Just about all can be jumped upon and serve as platforms. However, colliding horizontally with a block will destroy the player. Diagonal slanted blocks were introduced as of Update 1.8, and act as ramps/slopes that a player can slide on without being destroyed. The Update 2.0 sneak peek has shown that a feature that allows blocks and platforms to move will be introduced.

Hazards
Hazards usually introduce difficulty into each level. They will often destroy players if touched in any way. Through the levels in Geometry Dash, hazards are introduced in several different forms.
Spikes
Spikes are the most frequently occurring and are often jumped over. These obstacles often appear with varying appearance, and can be invisible or transparent. They can also differ in size. Three spikes are sometimes placed in a group to escalate the level of difficulty. They are commonly seen in Time Machine, which includes the most three-spikes out of any official level. Spikes can also be different sizes or widths. The color of some of these obstacles can also be changed using the COL1, COL2, COL3, and COL4 options in the Level Editor.
Sawblades
Sawblades, which are first encountered in Clutterfunk, are typically larger than common spikes. They automatically rotate in place, and can be seen in several different forms as well. Transparent sawblades can sometimes be seen with dark backgrounds, commonly used in Electroman Adventures. Each variation has three sizes. The 1.9 update introduced gear-like sawblades, thick sawblades with customizable colors with c-obj, and invisible sawblades.

Thorns
Thorns are one of the most common hazards in Geometry Dash. They are generally long but short, black, obstacles that are placed between columns of blocks. In official levels, they make appearances throughout the game. They generally came in either a spiky, jagged form or a waving form until 1.8 update, which introduced diagonal thorns at either angle, as well as peaked-thorns. The 1.9 Update introduced block-like thorns which made their first appearance in Blast Processing. Theory of Everything also introduces a kind of thorn resembling creepers or vines. They can have multiple appearances.

Monsters
Monsters will be introduced into Geometry Dash in Update 2.0. They vary in size and have moving mouths. These obstacles, similar to the others, kill on impact.

Pads and rings
Pads and rings influence the direction of travel. Pads only need to be touched to activate their effect, while rings need to be tapped as the player passes over for them to function. There are three variants identical to each.
*Yellow pad initiates a jump larger than normal, introduced in Back on Track. Yellow rings were introduced in Polargeist, and while tapped it enables a jump mid-air.
*Purple pads and rings initiate a jump smaller than normal jumps and yellow pads and rings. They are formally introduced in Theory of Everything. (The pad was also found while getting the last secret coin in Can't Let Go, and the ring was found when getting the last secret coin in Time Machine).
*Blue pads and rings change the direction of gravity, formally introduced in xStep.(Both were also found when getting the first coin in Back On Track and the third coin in Polargeist.)
Although these components are often part of completing a level, they can be positioned in such a way that redirects the player into a hazard, needing to be avoided in such instances.

Portals
For the complete article, see Portals.

Portals can modify the way the icon interacts with the level, and can force the cube to assume another form, such as the ship, gravity ball, UFO, or wave. They vary into two different types: Form portals, which changes the form of the player, or manipulation portal, which changes how the player interacts with the level. They can also change its speed, size, direction of gravity or mirror the screen. The 1.8 update introduced dual portals, which create a clone of the player. These objects are often expertly placed in correlation with the background soundtrack. On most occasions, the background and ground color also change with the icon.

Cosmetics and effects
A number of components are purely cosmetic, or may have effects applied to them. Others may be used as markers to identify routes or hazards (punctuation marks, crosses, arrow signs). Physical objects can cycle through colours and complete visibility, which may also be distracting to gameplay. In contrast, what may look like physical objects can also be background objects, which may again fool the player, for example fake spikes and thorns. Blast Processing introduced a new effect, giving blocks a three-dimensional appearance. This, in no way, affects the gameplay.

Background and transition
The background can change colour as a way to create a more vibrant gameplay experience. Other map components can enter and leave the screen, not physically affecting anything, as further visual enhancement, but may reduce the amount of time the player has to react to their entry.
Notes
*Size portal: Individual forms are affected in different ways. All forms maintain the same horizontal speed despite the shrunken state giving an impression they are moving faster.
**The cube loses jumping height but can perform successive jumps quicker.
**The ship ascends and descends faster and at steeper angles.
**The ball gains vertical movement speed.
**The UFO loses jumping height and begins to descend quicker
**The wave makes moves faster and at steeper angles than before.
*Dual portal: The antigravity copy is an invert of the icon's colour scheme. Additionally, while a copy is existent, a collision will terminate the original, and vice versa, with each icon able to interact with its surroundings. Also, the vertical grid is locked to certain ranges.
**The cube and ball are contained to 9 vertical units.
**The ship, UFO and wave are contained to 10 vertical units.
Notes
*For more information, see Forms.

Trivia
*Players still have the ability to use jump rings in the forms. The wave will jag upward, then downward, the length of which determined by the jump ring activated.
** However, if a player tries to use a jump ring in wave form, the trail will disappear. A new trail will be started from near the jump ring instead.
**Waves can only accept gravity pads, as their function is only go up and down.
* Cube form:If the cube falls above the 60 units in antigravity mode, it will result in a crash.
*Gravity and mirror options are not available for initial configuration in the Level Editor.
*The slow speed portal was formally introduced in Hexagon Force (Update 1.8), despite actually being introduced in Update 1.7, selectable in the Level Editor.
*When the icon enters a size portal, a bolt of lightning strikes it and the screen flashes briefly.
*By entering a form portal of the same form the icon is at present, if it is in a higher or lower position to the original portal, the grid will vertically shift to realign with the new portal, with the exception of the cube form. This is demonstrated with the alternate route for the third secret coin in Stereo Madness.
*When using the test mode on the Level Editor, using a mirror portal will not flip the screen, due to it still being in the main editor section.
*Placing successive mirror portals in the Level Editor may accidentally cause the progress bar to appear to deplete.
*The size portal is the only manipulation portal that does not use the blue colour as a deactivation portal and instead uses green.
*When shrunken from a size portal, the cube acquires a unique design that is not found in the Icon Kit, resembling a "squished" version of the first default cube icon with no blank space inside. The ball acquires a display virtually identical to its default icon, only smaller, which also happens with the wave. When using a ship or UFO while shrunken, they will retain their specified icon designs, while carrying the shrunken version of the cube.
*All portals (except the speed portals) have an alternate design in the Level Editor, where only a part of the portal is shown. This is due to portals having 2 separate images in the GJ_GameSheet file.
*The green speed portal increases speed to such a degree that the cube can jump by about 1 tile further. The pink speed portal increases the speed so that it can jump about 2 tiles further, and the orange portal decreases speed and therefore jump length by about 1 tile.
* When the wave form enters a size portal, its path becomes much harder to manage, as it will go up and down at a very steep angle, and does this very quickly.
* RobTop has stated that he thinks implementing teleportation (based off of a user's popular idea) would be a good challenge, then shortly after the 'Teleport Portal' image was posted.

Custom Levels are unofficial levels created by Geometry Dash players via the Level Editor. Unlike in Geometry Dash Lite, players have the ability to like or dislike other players' levels, rate them in difficulty (Auto, Easy, Normal, Hard, Harder, Insane, Demon) or stars (from one to ten, depending on the difficulty of the level), and comment on them. Players can also copy other players' levels to make a "v2" of a level or a better version of a level, commonly used in "Creator Contests" in which famous creators make beginnings of a level to see who can finish it the best, although many levels' copy features are password-protected. Levels can be found in multiple different ways, for example by searching for a specific level, or looking through Map Packs or the featured list.

Searching Levels
The Search Screen
If you want to find a specific type of level, then it is recommended that the player goes to the search screen. This is accessed by going to the rightmost button on the main menu screen, then the bottom right button with a magnifying glass that says "Search" in the Create menu. By using very specific search options and filters, finding the type of level you want to play is a breeze.

There are many different search options and features, such as:
* Difficulty rating: Do you want to play the hardest demons or just have a nice and easy journey?
* Level length: Levels can have a length of tiny, short, medium, long, and extra-long. Better levels usually are Medium or longer, although sometimes popular creators host "creator contests" in which they create a short beginning of a level and see who can finish it the best.
* Star value: Is the star reward important, or do you just like to play for fun?
* Quick search options: Do you want to follow the trending levels, the most downloaded levels or the most liked ones? Or do you just want to play some of the levels that have recently come out?
* Extra filters: If you tap on the "plus" below the "x" in the top right hand corner, it will bring up a few more search filters, such as what song is in the level and if you've completed it or not.
* Saved levels: Although this option is not in the search menu, it is indirectly a search option since it helps find levels easily. Go to this button in the Create menu to view a list of all the online levels you've played in Geometry Dash, sorted so that the custom levels that you most recently played show up first in the list.

Other Options
There are other ways to search for levels if you don't want to use the search screen. Using these almost always brings up more popular levels that are probably featured.

*Map Packs (for full article, see Map Packs) Map Packs are sets of maps that when completed give you stars and one or two Secret Coins. All of the levels in these packs are featured since there are achievements for beating them.
*Creators' Levels If you go to the Leaderboards section in the Create menu, then click the "Creators" tab, a list of the top 100 creators will appear. If you click on these creators, a list of their levels will appear.
*My Levels When creating levels in the Level Editor, when you exit to the list of all your levels, you may notice a small button in the bottom left corner. This shows you all the levels you have published in a list similar to that of the results of searching for levels.
* Featured levels: Selected by clicking a box in the Extra Filters section of the search screen or by the big button with the star on it in the bottom left corner of the Create menu, featured levels are levels featured for the game. Their difficulties vary just like less popular levels, although featured levels tend to be hard and up. When you get to the featured levels screen you get to see lots of featured levels made by other people (who are usually also popular on YouTube because people can see their levels). These levels have to, just like demon levels, get verified by Robert Topala himself. In order to get a featured level, the level must be of high quality and/or have detailed effects and decorations. More famous creators (do the names Darnoc and Viprin sound familiar?) have almost all of their levels featured either because of a neat concept or detailed effects and decorations.

Playing Levels
Once you've searched for a type of level, a list of levels with the search option(s) you chose will appear, sometimes no levels, sometimes a few, sometimes thousands. You can scroll through the list of levels until you find what you want to play. Tap the blue "Get It" (or green "View" if you've already downloaded it) button to open up a menu based on just that level. Then tap the big green button in the middle of the screen that appears with a yellow play arrow to play the level. After you play it, you can rate its difficulty, star value, and like or dislike the level using the buttons on the right side of the menu. There is also a button that allows you to comment on the level. If you put a description on your level, this is where it will appear, as well as a button that allows people to play your other levels. Some levels have custom music from Newgrounds which you may have to download using the blue button in the bottom rectangle, although it is possible to play without any music at all. The only differences between normal levels and custom levels are that custom levels award slightly less stars than normal levels and (as of Update 1.9) no coins.

Trivia
*There are currently more than 3 million custom levels on the server.
**However, the major part of them are just some random stuff and have Tiny or Short length and NA difficulty.

* The Extra-Long level length is not in the search menu, even though you can make an Extra Long level.
*You may notice that when clicking multiple difficulties in the search menu, then click search, levels of all those difficulties will appear. However clicking Demon, NA, or Auto cancels out all other difficulties...except Auto doesn't cancel NA.
*When rating another person's level, if it already has a difficulty and a star value, the star value rating menu disappears. However, the difficulty rating menu remains.
** Since Update 1.93, you can't rate the difficulty of levels that already have star values.
*Some Map Packs don't have a single level in the pack that matches the difficulty of the pack. This can relate to single levels in that certain Auto levels are rated up to Insane (although they still only award one star).
**There actually is a Demon level online that is really Auto. Most Auto levels never get that highly rated, though, since even if they did, RobTop would see that it was a hoax.
Levels can be found in multiple different ways, for example by searching for a specific level, or looking through Map Packs or the featured list.

Search Levels

* Featured levels: Selected by clicking on the star next to the level length search panel, featured levels are levels featured for the game.

This shows you all the levels you have published.

Play Levels

Trivia
*There are currently more than 3 million custom levels on the server.
* The Extra-Long level length is not in the search menu, even though you can get Extra-Long length in a level.

----Custom Levels are unofficial levels created by Geometry Dash players via the Level Editor. Players have the ability to like or dislike other players' levels, rate them in difficulty (Auto, Easy, Normal, Hard, Harder, Insane, Demon) or stars (from one to ten, depending on the difficulty of the level), and comment on them. Levels can be found in multiple different ways, for example by searching for a specific level, or looking through Map Packs or the featured list.

Search Levels
If you want to find a specific type of level, then it is recommended that the player goes to the search screen.

* Star value: Is the star reward important, or do you just like to play for fun?
* Quick search options: Do you want to follow the trending levels, the most downloaded levels or the most liked ones? Or do you just want to play some of the levels that have recently come out?
* Extra filters: If you tap on the "plus" below the "x" in the top right hand corner, it will bring up a few more search filters, such as what song is in the level and whether or not it has a star value.
* Featured levels: featured levels are levels featured for the game most difficulties are harder to demon sometimes easy to demon. when you get to the featured levels screen you get to see lots of featured levels made by other people maybe you.

Introduction
On June 30, 2014, Robert Topala posted a sneak peek image on Twitter, reading Can You Guess the Next Song? The image also displayed pictures of a water drop, flame, and a hexagon. Topala referred to the popular video game music composer on YouTube, Waterflame, who had published the tune, Hexagon Force, on March 1, 2014.

Description
Hexagon Force begins with a brief cube scene, followed by a speed portal and rocket portal. Subsequently, the icon turns into a gravity ball, and the player makes first contact with the new blocks having diagonal surfaces. Later on, Hexagon Force introduces the brand new copy portals, which "clones" the icon with reversed colors. With the copy portal in action, the player is then forced to maneuver using the rocket. Throughout the level, multiple copy portals are included, and the icon transforms into every object in the game. Hexagon Force is also the first official level to introduce the slow and normal speed portals, which are shown along some rocket scenes. Hexagon Force also features every portal on 1.8 except Mirror Portals and the pink 3x speed portal.

Rewards
Completing the level without flaws in practice mode will unlock the dark grey primary color and the achievement Hexagonest. If the player is capable of winning on normal mode, they would earn the achievement Hexagon Force! Flawlessly finishing the level would take under 1 minutes and 40 seconds.

Secret Coin Location
* The first secret coin is located at the first ball sequence. After you flip and land into flat forms, upon encountering a short ramp, flip gravity to get the secret coin and touching a yellow jump pad. Alternatively, you can get the coin by tapping to go up onto the platform and immediately go down. However, you need to be close enough to get the coin.
* The second secret coin is located at the double speed ship sequence. After avoiding spikes and saws, and upon encountering a slope with an opening, immediately go through there to get it.
* The final secret coin is located at the final half-speed ship sequence. Upon finishing the level, you will encounter a large obstacle with an opening in it. Carefully fly through it to get the secret coin and in the same time, finishing the level.

Clearing the dual sections
The introduction of the copy portal brings yet another challenge to increasingly difficult levels. It is almost always overwhelming when first encountered, but like all things, can be beaten once properly understood. What is especially important to know is that practice makes perfect, and coincidentally, there is a practice mode which provides the opportunity to make it perfect, all down to experience. Take advantage of practice mode to correctly learn the maneuvers. Another incredibly useful tip is to focus on only one icon. Trying to track two things at once is already harder than what the level really is, therefore determining at which points movements occur in order to efficiently control both icons.
Cube section
The dual cube section is divided into two segments. Three successive jumps from the first lower spikes with a pause, followed by another three jumps clears the first segment. When launched into the second segment, begin with two synchronized jumps on jump rings. Next, direct attention to the lower cube, and jump when aligned with the indicator arrow and once more from the jump ring. Immediately direct attention to the upper cube and do the same, keeping accurate to the position of the second arrow. This can be particularly difficult to time correctly, so remember to practice to improve understanding. Four jumps from the first arrow. This completes the cube sequence.
First ship section
Never try to focus on both ships. They are normally symmetrically aligned and therefore focusing on one will safely navigate the other. From the dual cube section, quickly hold down to send each ship towards the sides of the map before they are directed to the center, and remain there to avoid the spiked walls. Prepare to dodge a central obstacle, then shift to the center for a moment before pressing apart again, where you can rest as the ships travel along a safe divider through the middle, emerging to complete the sequence.
Ball section
As well as being fragile to manoeuvre, the balls are also shrunken. The way the game's mechanics work means the speed remains constant in both enlarged and shrunken states, making the shrunken state appear considerably faster in comparison. Due to this, it serves to know exactly what happens to both balls since there is not enough time to interpret the position of obstacles as they arrive. From the UFO sequence, the balls must pass over a small gap by switching sides just a moment after changing form. What happens next is the lower ball is launched into the air, and in that time the upper ball must flip twice over an oncoming saw before the launched ball lands. There is an indicator arrow which marks the first flip point before having to return immediately once clear of the saw. In a similar manner, the lower ball must flip over a saw while the upper ball is sent airborne. Take care after as both balls are swiftly launched by jump pads onto several synchronised jump rings very quickly. It can also occur the balls being sent there themselves prematurely from switching gravity, even having both balls share a single jump ring if the timing is slightly out. The sequence can still be cleared safely, approaching another ship sequence while still shrunken.
Second ship section
This section is much shorter, and this time the ships are in the shrunken state from the ball section. As before, only focus on one ship and stay on the side on the map before dodging two spiked projections.
Third ship section
This is arguably the most difficult of the dual sections, particularly because the ships are shrunken and hence ascend and descend faster when tapped, making it hard to control. Located near the end of the level from the cube section, navigate them towards the centre of the level, but be prepared to dodge a central obstacle, move towards the centre again, and dodge another central obstacle before going back to the central portal to complete the sequence.

Trivia
* The icon unlocked when completing the level in Normal mode was inspired by Creepers from the popular video game Minecraft.
* The achievement Hexagonest may be a reference to the game Super Hexagon.
*This is the first level to use the slow down portal. The second is Theory of Everything 2.
* This level introduces object rotation, dual mode, and slopes.
* Completing the level takes 1:31.
* The level is one of the three levels not having a secret coin in their cube segments. The other two are Cycles and Blast Processing.

Errors
* There was an error in the level located before the first dual section. It's on the platform after you jump off a ramp. The error is on the bottom right corner of the platform. However, this was fixed in 1.9.
* There was a secret way in this level: During the last cube section, before going to the mini dual slow ship sequence, if a player jumps at the right time, they would fall through to the floor. However this was fixed.
* There is a glitch in the main menu on devices with touchscreens where if you tap on a level, then quickly repetitively tap the right arrow and the middle of the screen, the level will have one attempt with a different level's music, then the normal level's music, but you can't jump ever and the pause button crashes the game. If you use this glitch on Hexagon Force, the level will have no music, the second platform will be lines with no decoration inside, and you won't respawn.
Update 1.9 was the ninth major update to Geometry Dash. It was officially released to the public on November 13, 2014.

Previews
Prior to the release of Update 1.8, Topala said in a conversation at Touch Arcade Forums, "I have a lot of ideas for Update 1.9 that could be huge for the game, but more on that after I release 1.8... muahaha."

* August 13, 2014: Topala posts his first Update 1.9 preview image, which shows five icons wearing different-colored headphones. This makes way for much anticipation throughout the Geometry Dash community and results in theories involving soundtrack changes within a level and new game modes.

* August 26, 2014: Topala publishes another image depicting three-dimensional blocks, arousing much excitement among Geometry Dash players.

* August 28, 2014: Topala continues with the three-dimensional idea, posting a picture on Facebook about what could be built using the blocks.

It has a blast and processor (which was later confirmed to be Blast Processing by Waterflame) and a book, an infinity symbol, and the number 2 (which in truth hinted to Theory of Everything 2 by DJ Nate).

Topala is also playing the game on his computer, indicating that he may have been using the future Steam version.

* November 9, 2014,: Nearly three months after Update 1.9 was first mentioned, Topala confirms the release of 1.9 and states that it will be released to iOS and Android devices around the same time, and the Steam version would be released as soon as possible.

* November 13, 2014: Update 1.9 is released to the Windows Phone, App Store, and several other mobile devices.

* November 14, 2014: Update 1.91 is released to all devices. This is a minor update that fixes a few bugs.

* November 15, 2014: Update 1.9 is released on Amazon devices.

* January 18, 2015: Update 1.92 is released to the Play Store. This includes some new options and fixes a few custom soundtrack bugs.

* February 12, 2015: Update 1.93 is released to the Play Store. This is a minor update that includes some bugfixes.

Geometry Dash Lite
On February 5, 2015, Geometry Dash Lite was updated straight to version 1.921, adding Time Machine, new achievements and User Accounts.

Trivia
* The new arrow-like form, known as the Wave, was inspired by the mechanics of the mobile game Wave Wave. It is supposed the concept was brought to light by a popular Geometry Dash player, Darnoc, who created a level (also named Wave Wave), mimicking its mechanics using condensed groups of gravity rings and the UFO.
* This is the first update to include a sequel of a main level song: Theory of Everything 2
* This is the second update that includes two new main levels. (1.6 with Electroman Adventures and Clubstep, and now 1.9 with Blast Processing and Theory of Everything 2.)
* Both Update 1.6 and Update 1.9 featured music from both Waterflame and DJ Nate.
Theory of Everything 2, often referred to as ToE 2, is the eighteenth and currently the last main level in Geometry Dash. It is also the second official Demon-rated level, preceded by Clubstep.

Description
Theory of Everything 2's music is the sequel for the Theory of Everything theme. This level introduces waves at double speed as well as mini waves at slow speed. There are also lasers pointing from the top of the screen to the bottom. At 80% there is also a tricky ship part where you have to make tight curves while both sides of the walls are spikes. This also happens for the UFO section after the first mini ship part.
Secret Coin Location
* The first secret coin is located at the first mini ship sequence. After you go through an anti-gravity portal, immediately hold then let go. You will go down then get back up to the normal-gravity portal. If you go down too low, you might hit a spike and die.
* The second secret coin is located at the second wave sequence. After you maneuver through the diagonal hallway, try to make your wave form go down through a small entrance to get the secret coin. It is one of the hardest coins to get, as it also requires precision and control to complete the Wave after collecting the coin, as the wave is it double speed and the opening is extremely tiny for the Wave to enter.
* The third secret coin is hidden above the course. After you exit the reversed gravity ship section (the one after the slowed cube sequence), jump on the two jump rings, even the one marked with an "X". If you do this, you will land on a platform. Then perform a jump, collect the coin, and jump again on the edge of the platform to exit safely before you enter the last UFO sequence. This sounds easy, but it is hard without practice, since the timing is critical. If you do not jump at the edge, you will land before the platform and die. Since this part is fast-paced, it is also quite difficult to jump off the edge of a platform. If you are too late, the cube will just fall off the platform without making the jump and you will also die.

Trivia
* In Theory of Everything, all of the portals that existed when the course was released could be found in the level. However, in Theory of Everything 2, there are not any mirror and dual portals (mirror portals were last used in Electroman Adventures, and dual portals were last used in Blast Processing).
* In the half-pipe at the end, a monster that resembles the monsters in the Update 2.0 preview can be seen with an eye (blue ring) and an open mouth to slide through.
** The icon unlocked for completing Theory of Everything 2 also resemble the Update 2.0 monsters, and it resembles the Blast Processing icon. The only difference is that the ToE 2 icon has more "teeth."
*Completing the level generally takes about 1 minute and 32 seconds. However, if you use the first UFO speed glitch (refer to errors), it will take 1 minute and 30 seconds to complete.

Errors
* There is an error at the start of the level. You can jump on the first yellow ring (which is covered by an X) and jump on the second yellow ring (without an X). If you do this, you will crash.
* There are a couple of design errors. If you only hit the second yellow pad and then look at the upside down wall on the left, you will notice that it appears to be broken. Also, during the slow ship segment, at about 39%, there is a design error where one of the shaded blocks is slightly pushed to the left.
* There is an error in the first mini ship section of this level. You can skip the third gravity portal and the slow speed portal by going under them. If you skip the speed portal, however, crucial timing will be needed to pass the UFO sequence that follows. If you manage to pass it, the music will be out of sync.
** In the final mini UFO part, it is also possible to skip the gravity portal by going under it.
* There is a secret path in the mini ship section after the second wave segment. You can skip the cube portal and remain a mini ship. At 80%, you will still be a mini ship. However, when you reach the cube, you will remain mini and die because you cannot make the jumps.
|followedby = Hexagon Force}}Electrodynamix is the fifteenth level in Geometry Dash, and the 6th level rated Insane. New blocks and the speed portals were added to this level.

Description
This level starts with a few simple jumps, then becomes considerably harder with flashing colors and invisible spikes, and the introduction of speed portals.

Electrodynamix introduces the speed portals, but only two are shown on the level, the double speed (green) and the triple speed (pink). You start the level with normal speed, then the double speed starts, while half way in the level, the triple speed is triggered, making it significantly harder.

This level has some new features as well. The colors of the background on the first rocket and UFO paths are the same as the player's primary and secondary colors, so be careful. Bright colors make the UFO path very hard since the spikes are hard to be seen, so it is advised to use darker colors.

The hardest parts of this level are the rocket segments during triple speed and mini mode. It generally takes lots of tries (on practice mode) to handle the control of the rocket while passing narrow paths, so you have to be very careful on the rocket.

Secret Coins
* At the first shrunken UFO, slide through two gears that contain the secret coin. An alternate way to get it is to go under it and press 4 times to get it.
* After the ball section, jump two blue jump rings and not the yellow one. Get the secret coin and jump to keep going.
* After the shrunken ball section, jump on the purple and yellow jump ring and not the blue one. Then immediately jump on the blue gravity pad to get the secret coin, then jump again to keep going. Correct timing and practice is required.
Trivia
* Besides the level which introduces the Speed Portals, this level also introduces the mechanic which the background color is the same as the player's colors (mostly notable on the first rocket path and the UFO path).
* It is the first level without a coin in a rocket segment of the level.
* It is the first level which introduced the blocks with colors.
* It is the first level to come after a level rated more difficult than itself (Clubstep).
* Due to the faster speeds present which lengthened the level, Electrodynamix is the only level where you can crash at 99% (Crash at the last spike to achieve 99%). This used to be the criteria for the "So Close..." achievement until Update 1.9, which nerfed the progress needed to 95%.
* Electrodynamix takes 1:24 to complete, making it the shortest level (besides Cycles).
* Despite Electrodynamix's degree of difficulty, Hexagon Force and Theory of Everything all reward the same amount of stars (12). Many consider Electrodynamix much harder than these levels.
* Electrodynamix and Theory of Everything 2 are the only levels with a triple speed portal.

Errors
* Electrodynamix is the only level where you can crash at 0%. Not that you want to show that off though, as it would glitch past.
* There is an error in Electrodynamix. In the beginning, after you land on a pole/stick, one of the wavy spikes is missing.
