Summer Gallery is a 2.2 Hard level by Holographer, published on 5 August 2024. Created as an entry for the NCS Gauntlet Contest, it was hailed as a 'masterpiece' for its emotional storytelling, gameplay, and atmosphere.

Description

[edit | edit source]
“
Hey, do you remember that summer? That summer when we graduated, that summer when we watched fireworks together... That was great, right?
~ Holographer (showcase description)

Summer Gallery follows the memories of a Japanese girl reminiscing on her summer vacation in 2024, the year of her high school graduation.

User coins

[edit | edit source]

Summer Gallery contains three user coins.

  • The first user coin appears within a blue gravity portal during the 12.5% transition, but the player cannot reach it during the normal route; they must flip gravity to reach the coin. To do so, the player must touch the edge of the bubble at 6.5% without completely entering it. This flips their gravity exactly once, as opposed to twice, allowing them to float into the coin.
  • The second coin is located between the two vending machines at 33.75%. The player must make a single well-timed click to collect it; a spider pad below the coin returns them to the main route.
  • The third and final coin requires two steps to collect. First, during the Ship section at 60%, the player must hit three toggle orbs along a falling diagonal. Once complete, a potion appears at 74.5%; the player must collect it, shrinking their size for the final Robot jump. The player will be able to squeeze through the neck of the Ramune bottle at 84%, reaching the coin at the top.
    • Originally, the third coin only required the player to hit a toggle orb at 74%; it acted as a yellow orb and launched the player into the coin immediately. Prior to the update, the player never shrunk in size and the Ramune bottle was not present; a film reel transition took the place of the latter.

    • '大好き!' (daisuki!), or 'love you [guys]!'.
