''Note: Percentages assume the coin route is taken. If it is skipped, ignore the underlined sections and subtract 30% from all following sections.''

Area 1: Dual Wave (0-8%)
Area 1: Dual Wave (0-8%)
Blackfire Backfire begins with a wave moving upward in an auto section for a short time, then shifts into a dual wave moving upward between two brick walls. The section is a yellow-and-green Aztec-adjacent land with significant overgrowth. Despite the additional challenge of moving upward, the gameplay is relatively easy due to a 0.4x Timewarp trigger, although rotation may throw new players off. The player is incentivised to follow a pair of translucent lines tinted with their colours; the lines indicate the optimal pathway through the section. Warning signs, all written in Portuguese with occasional pictograms, are plastered on pyramidal boundaries. At the end of the section, both waves are directed into the mouth of a large structure resembling Quetzalcoatl.
Blackfire Backfire begins with a dual-wave section. Gameplay is rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. The player is incentivised to follow a pair of translucent lines tinted with their colours; the lines indicate the optimal pathway through the section. At the end of the section, both waves are directed into the mouth of a large structure resembling Quetzalcoatl.

Area 2: Cube (8-10%) Mini Robot (10-16.75%), Cube transition (16.75-17.25%)
Area 2: Cube (8-10.5%), Mini Robot (10.5-16.75%)
The camera zooms into the structure, revealing some cube gameplay where the player jumps from the ground on floating platforms. The decoration leans further in the Aztec theming, and has a vast, open background with many houses. Mini Robot (10-16.75%), Cube transition (16.75-17.25%)
As the camera zooms into the structure, the player drops off the edge of a waterfall, landing in a golden Aztec-like temple complex in front of a turquoise sky complete with huts for red monsters and thorns. The section begins with some cube gameplay in which the player jumps from the ground onto floating platforms. At 10.5%, the player enters a mini-Robot section focusing on forced orbs that open gates and rotate beams when hit, allowing the player to pass through the section as fire-bombs periodically strike the complex. In the background, a large, round, metallic green statue roars to life, slightly opening and closing its jaw as a solar halo rotates around it.
Area 3: Ball (17.25-20.75-22.5%), Robot (22.75-23.25%), U.F.O. (23.25-25%)

Area 3: Cube transition (16.75-17.25%), Ball (17.25-20.75-22.5%), Robot (22.75-23.25%), U.F.O. (23.25-25%)
After hitting a spider orb, the player becomes a cube that is launched by a pad into a ball segment inside a temple with orbs and a required trigger orb. The temple is a dark moss green with deep blue highlights, prominently featuring carved skull relief tiles and circular eyes with blinking diamond pupils. It then exits the temple and lands on a sequence of platforms with totem head statues engraved into them, where there are overhead blue pads and three orbs. Meanwhile, the statue reappears in the background, now engulfed in flames, and exclaims 'Oi!' before frantically chomping its jaws and chasing after the player as they hit a green orb and quadruple-speed portal. A mini-robot section follows with four jumps, before a mini-UFO section follows where the player is required to spam in order to avoid the spiked structures.

Bonus Area 1: Cube & Mini Cube (25-28%), Robot (28-30.25%), Spider (30.25-31.5%), Mini Robot (31.5-33.75%), Cube transition (33.75-35%)

Area 4: Transition (55-57.25%), Mini Wave (57.25-59%), U.F.O. (59-65.25%)
The statue evolves into Blackfire, a spiked monster with a lotus flower on its head and advanced mobility, as the player becomes a cube that is thrown into a mini-wave portal, where they are required to spam in order to avoid the spikes on the top and bottom. It transitions into a mini-UFO segment.

Ending (95.25-100%)
The ending of the level is black-and-white (aside from the 3D cube representing the player) and contains no gameplay. The player is reverted to a cube, and their silhouette floats to the top of the screen. After a white fade, a 3D cube (representing the player and tinted with their primary colour) appears perched atop a stone staircase, as Blackfire stares from above. Blackfire fires a white beam of light at the player as the cutscene fades out and the level ends.

When the player first turns into a mini-robot, they must perform a full jump to pass through land on a series of hidden ledges in an overhead structure, then another to reach a yellow and red orb. The orbs fade in as the player approaches them; they will not be visible if the player takes the main route. After hitting the orbs, the player picks up a large skull collectable at 12.25% before returning to the main route.

Collecting the skull triggers the level's extended route, adding the segments listed as 25-55% above; the coin will be collected at 59%. Some changes to the audio and visuals are also present in the level; most notably, during the ending animation, the cube transforms into a character with their arms raised, firing a beam of light at Blackfire.

*If the player crashes within proximity of the spiked blocks with faces in the first wave section, the faces will begin laughing faster. This is due to the part being slowed down by a [[Triggers|Timewarp Trigger]], which is always disabled upon death.

*Also on layer 66 is a warning sign reading 'prepare-se pa conhecer DEUX' and 'adeus', the latter marked below a hieroglyph combining a spike outline and three concentric rings, resembling a pyramid with an eye. It is believed that this sign translates as 'prepare to meet GOD' and 'goodbye'.

**The word 'DEUX' is an intentional misspelling of 'DEUS', meaning 'GOD', but it contains an X as a joke because the Rio de Janeiro accent pronounces anything that ends with S as X.
**However, the word 'DEUX' is simply the translation of the number two in French. If it is changed to 'DEUS', the phrase reads 'prepare to meet GOD'.
