Introductions
Blast Processing introduces a variety of new aesthetics, such as gear-like rotating obstacles. It starts off with a brief cube scene, and features the new blue portal, which transforms the icon into a Wave Wave-like form, later known as the Wave. Also, a new three-dimensional effect was introduced which does not affect the gameplay. It also introduced stair-like and checkered background blocks.
Trivia
File:BLAST PROCESSING.jpgThe speech in the music before the blue portal says "Get ready for lots of fun, and excitement!", like a corrupted walkie-talkie.
The name of the level (as well as the name of the song) is a reference to the game console, the Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis in NA).
