Checkmate is a 1.7 Insane 9* level created by FunnyGame on 22 July 2014. It is the first level in the Paradox Pack.
Description
The level features various advanced designs commonly shown in a checkerboard pattern, like the one of a chessboard.
- 0-15%: The level starts out as triple-speed cube, quickly returning to normal speed. The player must go through checkered red platforms and simple fake routes.
- 15-28%: After a quick strobing transition which also occurs at the end of this section, the player turns into a mini ship. They must go through a tight patterned corridor.
- 28-45%: A mirrored corridor with tighter timings meets the player as they become a double-speed UFO. They become normal-sized halfway through the section.
- 45-59%: The level becomes auto for a short section, going through 3D-like structures in a vertical manner. Normal gameplay similar to the first section continues at 53%.
- 59-71%: A mirrored mini ball part starts the section with a short normal-sized part breaking it up.
- 71-84%: The player then transitions into a normal-sized ship dodging circular spike structures. They then become a cube, a background shortly appearing at the end of the section's transition.
- 84-100%: A triple-speed ship concludes the level, avoiding more advanced structures.
