Dash is the twenty-second level of Geometry Dash and the eighth level with an Insane difficulty.

Description

Dash introduces the swing, which functions similarly to the ball besides the fact that its gravity can be altered by tapping/clicking in midair instead of having to collide with a physical object. It also introduces teleportation rings, a fully customised camera and vertical direction, as well as leftwards direction without the need for a mirror portal.

Secret coins

• The first secret coin is located at 14% and collected as the cube. After hitting the four yellow blocks on the ceiling, hit the red block immediately after, which will move the coin up and can be collected with a jump. This is hinted at with the pattern on the rock near the coin, as well as the red block's glowing eyes. Failure to do so will keep the coin partially submerged in lava and unobtainable, and missing a block or hitting an insufficient number of blocks will cause the spikes to crash into the icon
• The second secret coin is located at 37% and collected as the swing. In an orange electricity field corridor, there is one electricity field that is orange, but the outer layer is highlighted pink. Swing upwards through this highlighted electricity field while moving upwards, which will reveal the coin and a roof that the player must avoid.
• The third secret coin is located at 68% and collected as the ship. At 63%, when the cube turns into a glowing blue ball, tap/click six times, indicated by the ball flashing orange. The coin will then appear at the start of the ship sequence, where it can be collected by flying up.

Trivia

• This is the third level to omit the use of a previously used form, being the UFO. The first time was in Fingerdash, and the second in Power Trip, with both omitting the ball and the latter omitting the ship.
• In the beta version of the level, the sideways spider sequence was originally going to be a normal spider part, but was changed in the final release for unknown reasons.
  • Additionally, in the sneak peek, the blocks the player is required to hit had no purpose. Colon uploaded a video on 24 December 2022 complaining that he thought that the game started going against established things. Not wanting to change it, RobTop decided to use them for the first secret coin.
• Dash is one of two levels to feature a song created for it, with the other being Geometrical Dominator. Prior to its release, the level's music was referred to as the "secret song" by its creator MDK.
• Dash's soundtrack is actually titled Geometry Dash or Geometry Dash Theme Song, making it the fifth level with a name different from its soundtrack title as shown here.
• Dash is currently the only level to not finish with the cube colliding against the finishing wall.
  • Additionally, it is the only level to not have the start of the level complete sound be in sync with when the song ends, with it actually being delayed a small bit.
• Dash takes 96 seconds to complete and requires a minimum of 87 jumps.
