It was verified by [[Zoink]] on 30 May 2025, after about 9,000 attempts over five to six days.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nU5AQPzd2YA</ref> It is a redecorated and revised version of the old impossible level by the same name created by muriday. The level's reception is mostly positive, with players enjoying its decoration and victors rating the gameplay at least 6/10. The gameplay itself is more intense in the first half but remains consistent throughout the level.

Defeated Circles was placed at #17 on the [[Demonlist (Pointercrate)|Demonlist]], surpassing [[Sakupen Circles (Diamond)]] as the hardest rated [[Nine Circles Levels|Nine Circles level]] at the time.

*Defeated Circles was rated on 26 September 2025 and placed at #17 on the Demonlist on 26 October 2025, above [[Kyouki]] and below [[Abyss of Darkness]].
**This addition pushes Shukketsu into the Extended List and Cobwebs into the Legacy List.
*Defeated Circles uses one song and two sound effects (SFXs).
*Defeated Circles is a revision of an old impossible level by the same name created by muriday and published by Oktavian, which was based on the 'You So Defeated' challenge levels. According to Galaxium, the time required to complete this revision was about two years.
**Defeated Circles has since been dethroned as the hardest Nine Circles level by [[Subsuming Vortex]] after its placement at #9 on the Demonlist on 12 December 2025.
