The level is 6 minutes and 50 seconds long, posing quite an endurance test. OneAlphaHelix currently has 57% on the level. The level has many parallels with another upcoming top one, [[Ascension To Heaven|Ascension to Heaven]]; although Ascension to Heaven has a starkly opposite theme of heaven and the sky. Different from popular belief Flamewall actually is not harder than Tidal Wave, this means that it is easier than many levels harder than Tidal Wave such as Ascension to Heaven. In fact OneAlphaHelix said that Flamewall's base gameplay is about the same difficulty of a main list level except for Codependence.

It was hosted by Narwall, Valentine, Skub, Surjaco, and RicoLP before he left the project. This project has set multiple records as the longest finished top 1 level and largest megacollaboration in the game's history. The level is 6 minutes and 46 seconds long, being split up into 54 parts to be worked on by over 100 playtesters and decorators, and has 407,143 objects as of Cuatrocientos's first verification stream.

Flamewall has been highly praised for its consistent design and fun gameplay compared to most top levels. It is considered a "flow" level as it switches between gamemodes very rapidly throughout. The base gameplay is not very difficult, which is unique for a top 1 - the main difficulty is in the level's length and nerve control. OneAlphaHelix has stated that most of the gameplay is roughly main list difficulty, although certainly easier than any top 10 with the exception of Codependence (which has since dropped out of the top 10).

The color scheme of Flamewall is generally orange (following the fire theme) with a few sections changing to primarily white and gray to match the song's intensity. The decoration is notable for maintaining a 1.9 style, but it has been criticized for not having much depth in certain sections. This is likely a result of object limitations (as it was completed in 2.1), but questions about a potential 2.2 redecoration have been asked by numerous people. As of now, there is no mention of this taking place especially as the level becomes close to becoming verified.

Flamewall is also known for having a ridiculous amount of clicks for one level - OneAlphaHelix has stated that the level requires over 1,250 clicks in one run. It is more click-intensive in certain parts, but the overall number remains roughly balanced over its duration.

Gameplay

Verification

Flamewall is currently being verified by Cuatrocientos, a skilled Spanish player whose hardest level previous to the verification was LIMBO. Cuatrocientos took over the verification after OneAlphaHelix, the original verifier (who also uploaded the level's showcase) lost motivation after the 2.2 physics change and dropped the level on January 19, 2024. OneAlphaHelix's record before he quit was 62% (by 2.2 percentages; this was equivalent to 60% in 2.1). Cuatrocientos has made rapid progress on the level after picking it up, achieving a run of 24-80 on February 2, 2024 in his twelfth stream.
