 |How do I change my account username after registering my account? How do I change my password? How do I change my email?
 |To change your username and your password, you must use the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/accountManagement.php Account Manager] website that can be found under "Manage Account" in the in-game account settings. An alternative way of changing your password is to use the "Forgot Password?" section found on the same website. You will be asked to use the email that you registered your profile with. At this time, you cannot change the email bound to your Geometry Dash account.
 |-
 |Why can I not register?
 |The in-game registering is inconsistent, meaning that registering using the [http://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/register.php Account Manager] website is recommended. You must use an email address that has not been used for an account before, and you also need to use an email domain that is whitelisted for registering, preferably "@gmail.com". Note that you cannot change the email address that is bound to your account; if you lose your password you will need your email to reset it. Passwords can only have Latin characters (lower- or uppercase "a" to "z", numbers, hyphens, and underscores).
 |-
 |What does an account error code mean?
 |Error codes can show when you try to do various actions with your account, and their meaning are as follows:
*-99: Emails do not match.
*-13: Already linked to a different Steam account.
*-12: Account disabled. Read more here.
*-11: Login failed when trying to load data. Try to refresh login.
*-10: Already linked to a different account.
*-9: Username too short. Minimum 3 characters.
*-8: Password too short. Minimum 6 characters.
*-7: Passwords do not match.
*-6: Email is invalid.
*-5: Password is invalid or it is too weak and must be reset.
*-4: Username is invalid.
*-3: Email is already in use.
*-2: Username is already in use.
*-1: Something went wrong. Unknown error.
 |-
 |Why am I not getting the activation email?
 |Check the spam folder as the activation email may end up there. You can also use the "Resend Activation" option on the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/accountManagement.php Account Manager] website. Another reason could be that you may mistyped your email upon registering, and in that case there is nothing you can do but register another account.
 |-
 |How do I prevent my account from being stolen or hacked?
 |There are many ways to prevent the stealing of your account. The first step to take is to make sure you have a secure password, as all recent account hacking incidents have been based on the attacking of weak accounts. Passwords should not include common dictionary words or your username and should be unique. Ensure all game modifications you use are created by trusted members of the community, and do not hand out your save data. If you suspect your password or account has been stolen, immediately reset your password on the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/lostpassword.php Account Manager] website.
 |-
 |Can a hacker get someone's password from the servers?
 |No. The only known password exploits have already been patched, and date back to 2017. Since this patch, it has been impossible for someone to get your password from the Geometry Dash servers as the servers no longer store a usable form of your password. If you suspect that someone knows your password, the easiest thing you can do is change that password on the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/accountManagement.php Account Manager] website.
 |-
 |How do I delete my Geometry Dash account?
 |You can delete your account from the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/accountManagement.php Account Manager] website.
 |-
 |How do I change my profile's settings?
 |To change your profile settings, such as comment visibility or who can message you, go to your profile from the main menu, and select the gear icon. From there, you can change how open your account is to the public, and link various social media. For YouTube, you must not paste the whole link to your YouTube account but only the 16 random digits that come after "youtube.com/". If you want to link your Twitch account, do the same. If you want to link your Twitter account, you only need to write your username in the text box.
 |-
 |Why can I not log in?
 |The game will refuse to let you into an account if you use an incorrect password. If you have forgotten the password, or if you believe someone else changed it, use the [http://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/lostpassword.php Account Manager] website to change it. This tool requires you to use the email you used to register your account. If you have forgot it, or no longer have access to it, there is nothing you can do. If you are trying to find an account you can use the [http://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/lostusername.php same website] to be sent an email with your username. Insert your email and the website will send you the username of the account that is bound to it. If you have an issue where you can log in using the website, but not in-game, you must reinstall the game as it could mean there are incorrect files.
 |-
 |Can you administrate my account?
 |No. The Geometry Dash Moderator team cannot manage your account. It is not possible for these people to recover your lost data or to change your account information.
 |-
 |Why can I not save my data to the cloud?
 |There are various reasons why saving data may not work.
*If the error message says that your save size is within limits, then it is most likely due to a connection or server issue. Try to save again later.
*If the error message reports the size of your file, this means that it is too big. You may have to delete some editor levels to get your data within the size limits.
*If the error message says code -5 or -11, try to refresh login under "Account", "More", then "Refresh Login", and try logging in again. Refreshing login does not result in data loss. If refreshing login gives an error, try restoring your password using the [http://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/lostpassword.php Account Manager] website.
 |-
 |Why can I not load my data?
 |This may mean there is nothing in the cloud to load. It can also mean account credentials being outdated in the save file. You can solve outdated account credentials by refreshing your login under "Account", "More", and then "Refresh Login". If this gives an error, try restoring the account password on the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/accountManagement.php Account Manager] website.
 |-
 |How do I transfer data from one device to another?
 |Use the "Save" option found in settings in the device where you have the data you would like to transfer. On another device, simply log into your account and use "Load" to import your data. You cannot transfer your data from one account to another.
 |-
 |Does loading data overwrite my current save?
 |If you have data before loading, nothing will be overwritten. Loading always merges save files.
 |-
 |Can you help me recover my lost data?
 |Sadly, lost data can not be recovered. Losing data can only be prevented by saving your data to the cloud often.
 |-
 |What is the difference between green and yellow names?
 |Users with green names are unregistered users. They cannot comment or upload levels, but they can still play levels. Users with yellow names are registered users; they have access to every online feature.
 |-
 |Why is a green user holding the username I want to use?
 |This is a visual error; if an account appears when searching, it means it is registered and should be yellow in color. You cannot claim inactive usernames at this time.
 |-
 |Can I claim a username from an inactive account?
 |You cannot claim inactive usernames at this time.
 |-
 |Why can I not see someone's profile or comments?
 |When you try to load a profile of someone and the message "Something went wrong" appears, it is most likely because you have been blocked by the user. If you cannot view the comments of a user, it is because that person has their comment history disabled.
 |-
 |Why can I not reply to someone's message?
 |If you cannot reply to a message, it is because the user has messages disabled or have set them to "Friends only". It can also be due to having too many sent messages, and if so, clearing them can fix this.
 |-
 |Why am I not getting Demon Keys anymore?
 |This is a visual glitch. If you do not seem to get any, simply restart the game and take a look at the Treasure Room; you will see your missing keys added to the counter.
 |-
 |Why can I not open timed chests?
 |There are typically three causes for this. More often than not, your data has outdated account credentials, which can be solved by refreshing login. If refreshing your login gives an error, use the [https://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/accountManagement.php Account Manager] website to restore your password. The second reason involves your IP being banned from the Geometry Dash servers. In this case, you will not be able to do anything else that requires a connection either. The third one involves a bug that you cannot fix. This bug is inherently server-based. You can tell if you have this bug if your timed chests are not able to be opened, but their respective timers have reset and remain locked.
 |-
 |Why can I not claim a quest reward?
 |This is a visual error that can be solved by getting more of the required statistic. For example, if the quest says 6 User Coins, you should be rewarded if you get even more User Coins.
 |-
 |What should I do when my chests or quests show waiting times that are greater than what they should be?
 |Simply restart the game to fix the wrong times.
 |-
 |I cannot log into my account as it has been "disabled". What does that mean? What am I banned for? Can it be appealed?
 |RobTop closes accounts that have committed severe in-game offences. He is the only person who is able to disable accounts. It is not possible to find out the exact reason why this happened, and these bans are final. As such, they are non-disputable and cannot be appealed.

 !Question
 !Answer
 |-
 |What are the comment rules?
 |Comment rules exist in Geometry Dash to promote good behavior. They act as simple guidelines to stop users of posting inappropriate or spam content. Breaking the comment rules can result in a timeout or ban. The rules are as follows:
#Do <span style="color:red">not</span> spam.
#Do <span style="color:red">not</span> harass other players.
#Do <span style="color:red">not</span> post inappropriate or controversial content.
#Do <span style="color:red">not</span> try to bypass these rules.
These rules and their enforcement are entirely at Elder Moderators' discretion.
 |-
 |Why does the game keep claiming my password is insecure when I try to comment?
 |There are not many explanations other than your current password being deemed insecure by the game. A trick to have a stronger password is to use hyphens or underscores somewhere in your password. Additionally, avoid common words and increase the length of your password. Remember to refresh login every time you change your account credentials.
 |-
 |How can I report people for breaking comment rules?
 |Contact an Elder Moderator using direct messages.
 |-
 |Can I appeal a comment ban?
 |In general, comment bans are not removed when they are justified. If you believe it was a mistake, talk to an Elder Moderator.
 |-
 |What are permabans?
 |Permabans are bans that last either forever or long enough to be considered so. These are for habitual offenders, ban evaders, and severe offenders. The in-game ban timer currently only goes up to 34 days and 22 hours; bans of this demonstrated length are generally much longer than the time shown and are most likely permanent.
 |-
 |Why can I not comment with percentage?
 |When commenting on a level that you have progress on, you can click a checkbox to include your percentage. If you use it and the comment goes through, but the percentage does not show, it means that you have been banned from the Leaderboards. See the [[Geometry Dash FAQ#Leaderboards-0|Leaderboards section]] for more information.
 |-
 |Why does the comment I delete reappear?
 |This is because the level you originally commented on is no longer available on the server. There is no way to delete these comments for the time being.

 !Question
 !Answer
 |-
 | colspan="2" |If you need direct assistance with the Leaderboards, use the dedicated [https://discord.gg/QmcphSkfqm Discord server].
 |-
 |Who moderates the Leaderboards?
 |More information about Leaderboard Moderators can be found in this question.
 |-
 |Why do I not have a global rank on my profile?
 |Only accounts with 500 stars or more have a global rank. Keep in mind that you do not get it instantly upon reaching 500 stars. If you have reached the threshold and have not received a rank after a few weeks, or if your rank is suddenly removed, you have probably been banned from the Leaderboards.
 |-
 |Why am I banned from the Leaderboards?
 |Bans are done according to the Leaderboard Guidelines, found [https://www.robtopgames.com/files/GDLeaderboards.pdf#page=7 here]. If you believe this is a mistake and want to request an unban, refer to the dedicated [https://discord.gg/QmcphSkfqm Discord server].
 |-
 |Why am I not on Level Leaderboards?
 |Players' scores are not automatically uploaded to Level Leaderboards. Instead, only the players that submit their scores are displayed. You can submit your score by simply opening the Level Leaderboard, although it is inconsistent at times and might only display you locally. Players that are banned from the Leaderboards will not be displayed on the Global Level Leaderboard. For the hardest levels, such as Extreme Demons, a whitelist system is used; only players who are deemed legitimate by the Leaderboard Moderators are shown.
 |-
 |Why do I have a lower rank than some people on the Top 1000?
 |This is because the Top 1000 is defined by a different leaderboard, where people are added manually by Leaderboard Moderators.
 |-
 |When do the Leaderboards update?
 |The global ranks for players in the Top 1000 are updated automatically every hour. For all other players, RobTop manually refreshes the Leaderboards at irregular intervals. Currently, these updates happen roughly once a week. A Leaderboard refresh is required to obtain a global rank on your profile after reaching 500 Stars.
 |-
 |How do some players have 3 User Coins on a Level Leaderboard that does not have 3?
 |This may be due to the level being updated to reduce the number of User Coins. Otherwise it is due to third-party tools.

 !Question
 !Answer
 |-
 |How do I get a star value on my level?
 |The developer, RobTop, chooses levels that are deemed "good enough" for a rating. Questions like these are hard to answer as there are no specific guidelines. However, contacting in-game Moderators who can send a level to RobTop increases the chances of getting your level rated.
 |-
 |How does the Sent tab work?
 |The Sent tab under Search simply shows levels sent by Moderators based on when they were sent, from most recent to oldest. If another Moderator sends the level later, it will be put back to the top. The same Moderator resending the level will not change its position, but the suggested rating will update if it is different from the previous one. Note that the placement of a level on the list has limited effect on the chances of it being rated; RobTop has many ways of sorting sent levels that do not only show single sends in chronological order. As a result, the timing of a send is also not that important. This tab is only there to give the community a chance to play levels "endorsed" by the Moderator team. You can use the Demon filter before clicking Sent to see only levels sent for a Demon rating.
 |-
 |Do I need many sends to get a rated level?
 |No, you do not need a specific number of sends to get a rated level.
 |-
 |What decides a rated level's placement on the Featured tab?
 |Any levels that get Featured, Epic, Legendary, or Mythic are placed on the Featured tab. The placement is manually set by RobTop based on various factors, such as recency, playability, optimization, and more.
 |-
 |Why can I not download levels?
 |This may be due to Geometry Dash servers being down or poor internet connection on your end. It may also be due to an IP ban; this can happen automatically due to high traffic from your connection. In that case, wait for a while and retry.
 |-
 |Why can I not upload levels to the server?
 |This most commonly occurs when the Geometry Dash server is down. There is a word filter which prevents you from uploading levels with a specific name or description. You can try changing either to fix this. Additionally, if you upload a level then remove it from the server, you will not be able to reupload it unless you copy it and reverify it. Another reason may be a rate limit due to uploading too many levels over a short amount of time. In this case you have to wait a while before retrying. If you have outdated account credentials, many online services including uploading levels will be blocked. Go to "Account", "More", then "Refresh Login" and try logging in again. If this gives an error, try restoring your password using the [http://www.boomlings.com/database/accounts/lostpassword.php Account Manager] website.
 |-
 |Why can I not update my level on the servers?
 |All rated levels with an ID of 100M or lower cannot be updated without special permission. This is to protect them from bad updates, whether the creator was hacked or simply wants to change it a lot, making its quality or difficulty very different from when it was rated. As such, older rated levels are protected and will give an error when you attempt to update them. You can ask any Elder Moderator for permission with an explanation of how and why you want to update it. If you have a good reason, such as fixing gameplay bugs or improving some visuals, Elder Moderators will unlock the level for you. Note that whether you are permitted to update it or not is completely up to the team's discretion. Additionally, if you abuse this access, all your rated levels may be locked from updates permanently.
 |-
 |Why can I not delete my levels from the servers?
 |Levels that have more than 1000 downloads cannot be deleted by the creator to avoid abuse if the account is hacked or stolen. Contact an Elder Moderator to have it deleted. If the level is rated, it cannot be deleted.
 |-
 |Why is my level only found by searching the ID?
 |This is due to a server-side glitch, and can be fixed by contacting a Moderator.
 |-
 |Why is the online level I downloaded empty upon playing?
 |This most commonly occurs when the level has a lot of objects. If you notice the level is empty, exit it and use the refresh button to attempt a redownload.
 |-
 |I found an issue in a level. What do I do?
 |If you have an issue with a specific level, such as general level bugs, you must talk to the creator to get it fixed. Alternatively, for bugs related to 2.2's release, you can use this [https://forms.gle/gREg8PuuykQEwETm7 form].
 |-
 |Why can I not open my editor level?
 |This is because you placed a huge amount of objects overall or in a small area. There is not a defined number on how many objects there must be to happen as it varies based on the area or device used. A possible solution is to load a previous save of your data to get an earlier copy that can be opened.
 |-
 |I cannot select nor delete any objects in the editor. How do I fix this?
 |You might have enabled a delete filter. A lot of people do not realize that this setting is on. Go to the "Delete" section at the bottom, and set the filter to none on the right side and try again. If this does not work, you can try reinstalling the game.
 |-
 |Why can I not move objects in the editor?
 |This may happen when you have certain third-party tools installed and enabled. Disable any third-party tools and your issue should be solved. If this does not help, reinstall the game as your files could be damaged.
 |-
 |What is the Magic tab?
 |This tab shows unrated levels that meet several criteria, one of which is being made by users with Creator Points, along with other secret ones. Note that the requirements for the tab were recently changed, and that Moderators can remove levels that are inappropriate or otherwise not suitable to be highlighted.
 |-
 |Why is there no Daily or Weekly?
 |This means that RobTop has yet to select a level.
 |-
 |Do I get stars if I complete a level before it gets rated? Do I lose stars if I complete a level that gets unrated?
 |For the first question, yes, but you may have to refresh the level afterwards. At this time, you do not lose Stars from a level that is unrated, but this may change in the future.
 |-
 |How do I uncomplete a level?
 |If you recently completed a level and want to undo the completion, try logging out of your account and in again right after. Load your data from the cloud as you might have old progress without the completion. Loading without logging out first will not help as it will just merge the data.
 |-
 |Why does this level have so many dislikes? Is that a sign of hackers?
 |In many cases, especially for newly rated levels, excessive dislikes is typically another action done as abuse by bots. This will usually be reverted by RobTop for rated levels.
 |-
 |Someone is spamming the comments of a level. Is that a sign of hackers?
 |The only "hacking" being done here is abuse of bots. These accounts will be automatically cleaned up by RobTop and can be reported to Elder Moderators to speed up the process or if manual work is necessary.
 |-
 |Why does this online level have a difficulty that does not match the stars?
 |This may be due to an update after the level was rated. Otherwise it may be RobTop rating it wrong, which should be fixed in time.

 !Question

 |-
 |What is a Rating Advisor?
 |A Rating Advisor is identifiable through the Rating Advisor badge in Geometry Dash. This role can be granted only by RobTop himself. Their main task is suggesting good levels to RobTop for a rating. They also have more power when voting for Demon difficulty.
 |-
 |What is a Moderator?
 |A Moderator is identifiable through the Moderator badge in Geometry Dash. Moderators are tasked not only with sending good levels, but also moderating the in-game comment sections, whitelisting users on Newgrounds, unlocking updates for older rated levels, and some other tasks.
 |-
 |What is a Leaderboard Moderator?
 |Leaderboard Moderators manage the Leaderboards within the game. They manage the Top 1000 whitelist and can ban players from both the Global and Level Leaderboards. It is worth noting that they are not necessarily a normal Moderator too. They also have more power when voting for Demon difficulty. The list of Leaderboard Moderators is found [https://www.robtopgames.com/faq/en/modteam here]. If you need any support regarding these topics, refer to the [[Geometry Dash FAQ#Leaderboard-0|Leaderboards]] section.
 |-
 |What standards do Advisors have when sending levels?
 |While every Advisors is trusted with their own standards when sending levels, certain factors need to be considered by all Advisors. These factors include but are not limited to: stolen designs or levels, the song being available, the level's length (in most cases, at least "Long" length is preferred), the name or the contents of the level being appropriate, and more.
 |-
 |Do Moderator sends have more impact than Advisor sends?
 |The importance of a send remains the same for any Advisor and Moderator. Both have the same weight on sends.
 |-
 |Can Moderators rate levels?
 |No, the only person who can rate levels is RobTop.
 |-
 |Do Advisors and Moderators have direct contact with RobTop?
 |Yes, Advisors and Moderators are able to contact RobTop directly. If some issue arises, RobTop can be informed through a Moderator.
 |-
 |Are Advisors and Moderators paid?
 |Advisors, Moderators, and Leaderboard Moderators are not paid; their positions are entirely voluntary. Moderators are not allowed to accept payment for sending levels either.
 |-
 |How can I contact an Advisor or Moderator?
 |This is different for evert Advisor and Moderator. Nowadays, most are active on Discord. Not all Advisors like to take level requests through direct messages, so try to figure out whether they have a server or a form if you are contacting them for this reason. This information may be available in their profile bio. Most Advisors also check their in-game messages occasionally. Remember to be respectful when contacting them!
 |-
 |How does one become an Advisor, Moderator, Leaderboard Moderator?
 |RobTop is always on the lookout for active and helpful community members who can help find good levels and moderate content. If you contribute in positive ways in the community, you may get a shot at one of the positions. Current team members may also suggest good options for the roles.

 !Question

 |-
 |What is Newgrounds?
 |[https://www.newgrounds.com/ Newgrounds] is a website with thousands of user-submitted songs. If the uploader of a song has approved it, Geometry Dash creators can use it in their custom levels, given that they are scouted and whitelisted. See below for more information. To select a Newgrounds song for your level, you need the song ID, typically 6-7 numbers, found at the end of the link to the song.
 |-
 |What is the Music Library?
 |The Music Library is a new collection of music to use in your custom levels aside from the main songs and Newgrounds. You can always update its contents by clicking the refresh button in the top right. RobTop adds songs to this library manually by getting in touch with artists he wants in, and he does not take requests to be added here.
 |-
 |What is the NCS Library?
 |The NCS Library contains songs from the [https://www.youtube.com/@NoCopyrightSounds NoCopyrightSounds] YouTube channel which you can use in your levels. All of these are copyright-free, meaning that they can be used in YouTube videos without worrying about copyright claims, as long as you credit the song properly in the description. You can always update the library's contents by clicking the refresh button in the top right.
 |-
 |Why can I not download songs?
 |Newgrounds could be banned in your country or your IP may be banned from the website. In both cases, get in touch with the website's moderators as we cannot do anything to help you. If it is specific songs you cannot download, they could either be blocked for in-game usage (artist is not whitelisted or they disabled its usage) or it could have been removed from the website due to copyright issues.
 |-
 |Why is my game sound not working?
 |It is possible that the game files are damaged. In this event, try reinstalling the game. Check the volume mixer too as you might have the audio for Geometry Dash muted. If it is only Newgrounds songs not playing, go to the in-game settings and try using "Change custom songs location". On mobile, the audio is muted sometimes when you close the game using the "Home" button. In that instance, simply restart the game. On iOS, you might have to enable the ringtone switch on your phone.
 |-
 |How many songs can I use in a level?
 |At this time, you can use maximum 20 songs in a single level. If you use more and try to upload the level, it will fail with an error. This can also be due to too many SFX, with the limit being 1000 at this time.
 |-
 |What is whitelisting?
 |In order for Newgrounds artists to have their songs usable in Geometry Dash, they have to be scouted on Newgrounds and then whitelisted by an Elder Moderator. This system was put in place to prevent uploads of stolen songs on Newgrounds.
 |-
 |How can I be scouted as a Newgrounds artist?
 |Elder Moderators cannot scout artists but only whitelist users. In order to be scouted, you need another artist to scout you. You can find more information about scouting [https://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1418778 here].
 |-
 |Who can whitelist artists?
 |Artists can be whitelisted by Elder Moderators.
 |-
 |Who can be whitelisted and who cannot?
 |In general, all artists who have at least one song, which is their own original work, can be whitelisted. An artist will not be whitelisted if their songs are stolen or inappropriate.
 |-
 |How can I suggest people to be whitelisted?
 |You can suggest people or ask for yourself by sending a direct message to an Elder Moderator or Moderator. Only Elder Moderators can whitelist users, but regular Moderators can forward your request to an Elder Moderator. Please note that being scouted is a separate requirement from the whitelist to be able to use your songs in-game.
 |-
 |Can artists be removed from the whitelist?
 |Artists can be removed from the whitelist if they are caught uploading stolen songs or if they break Newgrounds rules. Read [https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/terms-of-use Terms of Use] and [https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/content-submission Content Submission] for more information.
 |-
 |Does changing your Newgrounds name get you removed from the whitelist?
 |Yes, and you have to be whitelisted again.

 !Question
 !Answer
 |-
 | colspan="2" |This section contains questions and answers about topics that do not fall under any other sections.
 |-
 |How do lists get rated?
 |Lists are only rated by RobTop himself without being sent by Moderators in-game. However, Moderators can still suggest them within the Moderator Discord server, and they can then be relayed to RobTop for a rating if they are good. Generally, we look for lists with an interesting overarching concept or theme, and with fitting playable levels regardless of whether they are rated. The list rating system may be improved in the future.
 |-
 |How can I contact RobTop?
 |RobTop stopped answering the support email as it got too much traffic. He sometimes answers people on Twitter and on the Discord server. If you have something important to talk about, send a direct message to a Geometry Dash Moderator. Depending on the circumstances they might redirect your message to him.
 |-
 |I need to report something found in-game. How do I do it?
 |Depending on what needs to be reported there are different people to contact. If there is a member of the community spreading hate by using the in-game commenting system please contact an Elder Moderator as they have the ability to delete comments or ban users from commenting. To report a user that has cheated statistics, report it to a Leaderboard Moderator through their [https://discord.gg/QmcphSkfqm Discord server]. To report a level, please contact an Elder Moderator as they have the ability to delete unrated levels. For reporting an account as a whole, contact any Moderator and they will pass the information to RobTop if required.
 |-
 |Can I refund the game?
 |It depends on the platform you play on, as RobTop does not personally handle refunds. On Steam, you can refund the game by right-clicking the game, then clicking on "Support" and selecting "This is not what I expected". You will then be given the option to refund if:
*You have not played for more than two hours.
*You have not owned the game for more than two weeks.
On Google Play, you will be given the option to refund the game on the first hour of purchasing it instead of the uninstall button. On iOS, go to Apple's website to request a refund, and depending on the circumstances, they might accept it.

 |Does reinstalling Geometry Dash cost money?
 |No. If you purchased the game on the App Store, Google Play, or Steam, you do not need to pay twice for it, but you need to be logged into the same account you used to pay for the game. If you have lost it, you will need to purchase it again. However, if you want to get the game on a different platform, you must buy it again. For example, if you have the game on iOS and want it on Steam, you must purchase the game again on Steam.

 |If I delete my game, will my data be erased too?
 |
*On PC, if you delete your game, it only deletes the base data game but not the save file folder so your data and songs will stay intact.
*On mobile, that is Android and iOS, your data will be erased from your device locally. However, if you save it to the cloud you can load it from there if you ever reinstall.

 |How do I fix a runtime error?
 |Crashes can occur due to many factors, and many of them are due to incompatibility. Another common cause is save files being too big for the game to save locally, which causes crashes upon exiting the game. Delete saved levels and editor levels you do not need to free up space. Additionally, your device may not be able to run levels with a lot of objects. It can crash both upon loading the level to play or when exiting a copy of it in the editor.
 |-
 |How do I get the game to use the whole screen of my device?
 |On Android, go to "Settings", "Display", "Fullscreen", and enable Geometry Dash. Note that not all devices have this option available, and your game might look worse with this enabled.
 |-
 |How do I fix lag? How do I fix FPS inconsistencies?
 |If the lag has occurred suddenly, try reinstalling the game as your files might be damaged. Reinstalling your display drivers could also help with your issue. To do this, open "Device Manager", find your display adapter drivers, select them, right click, and click "Delete". Close the application and then restart your computer, which should reinstall the proper drivers.

The lag may also be occurring from Geometry Dash using a lot of space. To clear some space try removing saved songs and downloaded levels, including editor levels. If the lag has always been present, try adjusting some in-game options such as turning off "Smooth Fix" or "Vertical Sync", enabling "Load songs to memory", enabling "Low Detail", and lowering the texture quality.

There are some external options as well such as going to Task Manager, "Details", and then setting "GeometryDash.exe" as "High Priority". Experimenting with the compatibility settings can also help. Right click on the game's icon in Steam, click "Properties" and then "Browse local files". There, right click on "GeometryDash.exe", go to "Properties" and then enter the compatibility settings. Enable "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select one of the following: Windows 7, Windows 95, or Windows Vista. Once you are done, select "Apply" and then "Ok".

On laptops, having the device not plugged in forces the system to reduce performance, which directly affects the game.

 |How do I solve input delay?
 |The most common cause of this issue on a computer is vertical sync. Input delay comes naturally with vertical sync, so you will have to disable it. On mobile, it is unfortunately difficult to solve.
 |-
 |Why are my textures black? Why does the game look off?
 |This may be due to a memory leak. Simply try restarting the game. If this does not fix the issue, it may be due to corrupted game files. To solve this, you can try reinstalling the game.
 |-
 |There is a line dividing my screen in two. What do I do?
 |This is known as screen tearing. This happens when the monitor's refresh rate is not synchronized with the game's frame rate. Normally, enabling vertical sync is enough to solve this. Go to "Settings", "Graphics", "Advanced", and enable "Vertical Sync". If this does not help, you can try to enable vertical sync in your graphics card's control panel. Search up how to open it for your specific graphics card.
 |-
 |How do I link a console controller to the game?
 |On Windows and Mac, linking a controller through wireless connection to the PC is all that is needed. The game will recognize the controller upon reopening the game. On Android, link the controller using Bluetooth, then with the help of external applications, you can map commands for the controllers to output certain actions, such as recreating clicks. Note that not all controllers are compatible with PCs and Android.
 |-
