Template:Infobox Level

Heliopolis is an upcoming 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted by MindCap. The level is inspired by Acropolis, sharing similar gameplay as both are exclusively at 0.5x speed and pure timing levels. According to MindCap, its difficulty becomes easier at lower FPS value.

It is set to be the hardest level in the game, although it has competition against Abyss of Darkness II, Anemesis, Antares, Aquamarine, Ascension to Heaven, Avernus, Azure Flare, Deimos (GDSkele), Eternal Night, Orochi, and The Apocalyptic Trilogy, all of which claim to be the hardest level in the game.

History

Template:Stub/Section Heliopolis was originally passed to ItsHybrid to host; however, due to the absurd nature of the level, he was unable to make progress in the mega-collaboration and such, he gave the level back to MindCap.

Gameplay

Template:Low-Faith/Section

Heliopolis is set to be decorated by StarkyTheSalad.[1]
  • 0-16% (Pennutoh): The level starts with Pennutoh's part, beginning with a difficult two-spike jump as a cube. His part utilizes claustrophobic orb timings and jumps while utilizing numerous very small holes that can be accessed through precisely-timed orb jumps.
  • 16-27% (Spamdrew128): The next part is followed by an extremely difficult mini-UFO mainly consisting of well-timed jumps over the gear sawblades.
  • 27-38% (Stormfly): The next part is a robot that focuses on jumping over very narrow holes in between the spikes and orb jumps. At 33%, the robot goes to normal size to enter a large cave-in surrounded by spikes. This segment now focuses on mini jumps due to the little room to jump, similar to Shardscapes.
  • 38-49% (Licentious): Licentious' part continues the robot part left from Stormfly's part. Unlike the previous part, it utilizes more fake routes and memorization.
  • 49-60% (Wespdx): The next part transitions into a spider, primarily focusing on very difficult gravity changes and timed orb jumps. The design (from the layout, at the very least) is themed around buildings.
  • 60-71% (Iris): A difficult ball part similar to Acropolis, which has numerous orbs adjacent. Thus it demands well-coordinated clicks.
  • 71-77% (IcEDCave): IcEDCave's part is a ball dual that goes into a very difficult swing-copter. Within every few seconds, the ball switches in place.
  • 77-87% (UFokinWotM8): A UFO part particularly reliant on well-timed spam due to the tight spaces where the orbs are located. The UFO goes dual halfway, albeit briefly.
  • 87-100% (para): A very tight wave part, utilizing numerous fake portals and gravity changes to hinder the player as they traverse around the level. Afterward, the level ends as a triple-speed cube exiting.

Trivia

  • The level is 2m 19s in length.
  • Heliopolis (Greek: Ἡλιούπολις) translates to the "Sun City" and was the major city in Ancient Egypt, being the capital of the 13th Nome of Lower Egypt. It is also known as "Iunu."
