Kalaxian is a 2.1 Harder collaboration level published by Thomartin. It is the third level of the Magic Gauntlet.
Description
[edit | edit source]- 0-26%: The level starts out with a 0.5x speed cube section with complex block design and crystals in the ground spikes. The gameplay consists of simple jumps and orbs. Then, there is a short ball section with the same decoration as the cube section. As the music picks up in pace a bit, there is the last section of the part, a 1x speed half big half mini ship section which has more modern block design than the first 2 sections.
- 27-44% (Jerkrat): Afterward, the song changes and Jerkrat's part begins. It starts off with a normal size 0.5x speed UFO section with a gravity portal in the middle of it. After that, there is a mini cube section with simple gameplay. After the cube section, there is a short robot section that leads into the final cube section of the part.
- 45-62%: Following this, there is a wall that changes the block design more modern with beams of light in the background. The first half of this part is a 1x speed wave section with a short dual wave section in the middle of it. Afterwards, there is a UFO section that leads into the final robot section of the part.
- 63-72%: Afterward, the player enters a corridor with the top and bottom chaning positions. The block design is mostly glow. The entire part consists of a 2x speed ship section in the first half and a ball section in the second half.
- 73-81%: Following this, there is a 1x speed cube section which turns into a short assymetrical dual at the end of the part.
- 82-100%: The final part is made up from four sections: The first 1x speed spider section with simple gameplay, the second simple UFO section both of which have glowy block design with black ground spikes and the final two sections are a 2x speed wave section with pretty tight gameplay and a short ship section at the end. At the very end of the level, there is an endscreen showing the title of the level.
User coins
[edit | edit source]- Coin 1: At 32%, hold the transparent dash orb and complete the short alterantive route to get the coin.
- Coin 2: At 61%, skip the green orb, jump on the edge of the platform on the bottom and quickly jump from that platform to the half block above and collect the key (Check 2nd image in gallery). Afterwards, click the transparent red orb at 75% to get the coin.
- Coin 3: The player needs to collect 3 mini coins in the last wave and ship sections to unlock the coin. The first mini coin is at 92% and you have to go up further than usual to collect it. The second mini coin is next to the saw at 95%, just before the ship portal. The third mini coin is at 97%, near the top of the level shortly after the last gravity change. The user coin will appear in front of the player as the they goes back up to the normal path.
