Knots (formerly known as Rusto) is an American player, level creator, and former in-game moderator. He is known for his distinctive modern style over the years. Many consider him one of the game's best creators. He was one of the first creators to popularize the 'modern art' style, which features detailed art with simplified designs, alongside kips and Jayuff. Knots also uses BGA (background animation) often in his levels. Particular renditions of the modern art style have become synonymous with Knots, often referred to as 'Knots style'. He built Geometry Dash levels on mobile until around the summer of 2021, when he started building on the Steam version of the game. He is a member of GeoStorm.

Regarded as a very consistent creator by Viprin and many others, Knots held the longest Epic-rated streak of any creator in the game, with 27 Epic-rated levels in a row, ended by his Legendary-rated level getHappier. Knots has been nominated three times for Best Modern Creator in the Geometry Dash 2.1 Awards, the Geometry Dash 2020 Awards, and the Geometry Dash 2021 Awards, placing third twice before winning in 2021.

Knots is also known for his digital art, which he posts on his Twitter. The character in his profile picture, Promise, has become famous in the Geometry Dash art community. According to Knots, Promise is a fabric robot.
