Leaderboards
The Leaderboard is a feature in Geometry Dash that was introduced in Update 1.3. This is designed to show your progress and statistics of the players globally. The global ranking is determined by stars. The leaderboard cannot be accesed in the lite version of the game.
About
This feature shows your stars, demons, and coins. There are four different tabs; these are:
- Top 100: This shows a list of 100 players ranked by the amount of stars they have.
- Friends: This show your stats compared to anyone on your friends list. This leaderboard was introduced in Update 2.0 replacing the Top Week leaderboard.
- Global: This shows your actual ranking along with your statistics compared to other players within 25 spaces around you.
- Creators: This shows the top 100 creators based on how many levels they have. Their position is set up by the amount of points (often referred as creator points) they gather from online levels built by them that get either featured or star rated. Featured levels are worth 2 points, while others are just worth 1 point. You can enter the creator's levels by clicking the "view" button located at the right of their name.
There was also another tab that was dropped in Update 2.0:
- Top Week: This tab was intended to reward people that have acquired a significant amount of stars within a week.
Trivia
- Sometimes there is a bug where the Creators tab shows random players with 0 creator points on all leaderboard spots.
- There is another bug in which the Global tab portrays a player with blank data and its global number being 0. This represents your older position before gathering an amount of stars that made your position higher.
- On August 15, 2015 the Geometry Dash servers were severely hacked, leading to a massive amount of accounts being renamed. This was mostly shown in the tabs Top 100 and Creators, showing off accounts with the name "Exploit" and the default cube in both lime green colors with the rainbow effect on. There was no loss of game data though.
