Lists

Lists are user-created collections of user levels in Geometry Dash, introduced in Update 2.2. Uploaded lists can be shared with other users, while developer-approved lists reward diamonds after users complete a specified number of their levels.
Users can access lists through the Lists button in the creator menu. Users can also access the list search and creation interfaces through the Search and Create menus, respectively.
Description
[edit | edit source]Lists group user levels under a shared name, description, difficulty, and visual icon. They function similarly to Map Packs but are user-created, can contain varying numbers of levels, and do not normally require every included level to be completed.
Each uploaded list receives a separate list ID. Its levels appear in an order chosen by the creator, but players can select them independently rather than completing them sequentially. Individual levels retain their normal difficulty, rewards, and completion status.
Creating and editing
[edit | edit source]A new list can be created by opening the Create menu, switching from My Levels to My Lists and selecting New. Its creator can enter a name and description, assign a difficulty, and choose an icon to represent it.[1]
To add levels, open a user level's information page and select the list button. This displays the user's existing lists and lets them create another one. The editing interface lets users remove and rearrange included levels.
A list can also be copied, saving its selection and level order as a separate local list. When finished, the upload button publishes it to the servers. As with uploaded user levels, the title cannot be changed after publication.
Finding and interacting
[edit | edit source]The main Lists button displays developer-approved lists. Users can find other uploaded lists through the Search menu by switching from level searches to list searches. Users can search lists by name or ID and filter them by assigned difficulty.[1]
An uploaded list displays its:
- name and description
- creator
- assigned difficulty
- list ID
- included levels and their order
- number of levels required for its reward, if approved
- diamond reward, if approved
- downloads, likes and comments
Registered users can like or dislike an uploaded list and post comments. Lists can also be shared through their list IDs. List comments use the same server system as level comments, with a list represented internally by the negative equivalent of its list ID.
Approval and rewards
[edit | edit source]The developer can approve a list and assign it a diamond reward. Approved lists appear through the Lists button in the online menu and are identifiable by the reward and completion requirement displayed on their information pages. Unapproved lists remain searchable but do not provide an additional list reward.
Each approved list specifies how many of its included levels must be completed. This requirement can be lower than the total number of levels in the list, allowing any sufficient selection of its levels to be used. Completing every remaining level does not provide another list reward.
After completing the required number, users must claim the diamond reward from the list page. Claiming it increases the account's list-reward statistic and counts towards the associated achievements. Attempting to claim it too early causes the Mechanic to state how many more levels must be completed.
Unlike rated user levels, an approved list does not award creator points to its creator. As of Update 2.2, Moderators also cannot send lists through the in-game level-sending interface; list requests are instead submitted separately for review by the developer.
Achievements
[edit | edit source]Seven achievements are awarded for claiming list rewards. Only claimed rewards count; the number of diamonds received and the total number of levels completed do not determine progress.[2]
Geometry Dash Lite
[edit | edit source]The standard Lists button is not present in Geometry Dash Lite. It is replaced by the Bonus tab, which provides a rotating selection of ten Platformer levels. The developer selects these levels, and they do not function as ordinary user-created lists.
Trivia
[edit | edit source]- Lists were announced as part of Update 2.2 and released with the update on 19 December 2023.
- A featured list can contain unrated levels.
- List rewards count only when manually claimed. Simply meeting the completion requirement does not advance list-reward achievements.
- List are stored as levels in-game, but with negative IDs instead of positive.
- The level in the most featured lists is Death Moon, appearing in 18 featured lists as of 7 October 2026. It is followed by Between Worlds, Change of Scene, and White Space, which are each in 13 featured lists.[3]
