| The Mechanic uses mana orbs as currency to purchase various [[Icon Kit]] items, and a special ''[[Settings|Music Customizer]]'' that enables the selecting of any downloaded music to play instead of the main menu theme or during [[Practice Mode|practice mode]]. The Mechanic is also the only source of ship fires and icon animations. The Mechanic is run by the ''Mechanic''. As of Update 2.201, 378,000 mana orbs are required to purchase every available item.
