Natural Disaster is a 2.1 unrated Extreme Demon created and published by GammaReXx, Cantis, and Helix. It was verified by Helix on October 31, 2022 after over 86,000+ attempts.[1] The level features a nature motif (similar to The Golden) giving the level a neon-green color scheme. It also draws inspiration from CuLuC's work, with heavy use of texturing and lighting effects.
It was originally created as an impossible level with nearly humanly-impossible wave sections. Popular impossible level showcasers in the community such as fnm04 and Exen popularized the level, which created a community-wide interest in Natural Disaster. Due to the level's popularity, GammaReXx created a updated version of Natural Disaster with updated decoration that was set to be Top 5-10 difficulty.[2]
After the level was rated on November 6, 2022, many community members expressed disdain toward the level. Around that time, several members of the community found many stolen assets and designs from other levels in Natural Disaster. The levels stolen from include Aerial Gleam, The Golden, Scorpius, and Cybernetic Crescent. As a result, RobTop unrated the level on November 7, 2022. The future of the level is currently unknown.
Gameplay
Template:Low-Faith/Section The level starts with a half-speed mini cube consisting of multiple timed jumps and clicks with a brief ball and spider mode inbetween. And next, it is followed by a normal-speed ship mode which is mostly oriented in straight-flying and carefully maneuvering the player's ship.
The level then goes into an auto cube mode where an animation of an upside-down L with angelic wings will appear before pitch black covers the entire screen. The level's name will flash in the middle of the screen supported by effects of thunderstorm and particles, hence the title. The level's difficulty then significantly increases as the player enters a quadruple-speed wave mode consisting of constant gravity- and size changes. The segment transitions into a brief ship mode halfway which now consists of teleportation portals and gravity changes, then followed by an another difficult wave mode.
In the last section of this segment, the level goes into black and white as the player enters a short straight-flying segment. The screen flashes into white in order to transition for the next segment: A quadruple-speed section consisting of multiple claustrophobic brief gamemode changes and timed jumps. It is then followed by an another quadruple-speed wave, no different than the first wave part. This is followed by a unison of flow gameplay. The last three clicks consist of three dash orbs. The player must time their clicks due to the extremely tight spaces. Successfully overcoming the last dash orbs causes the screen to fade into black.
An artwork depicting the Earth suffering from environmental damage can be seen. The texts "Respect the planet." can be seen and, afterwards, the level ends with the text "GG" and the credits.
User Coins
This level only contains one user coin which can be found at 64%. The player must hit a yellow orb to enter a brief wave mode. This can be tricky to collect due to the extremely tight spaces where the coin is located. After the player collects the coin, they are led to the normal route.
