'''Null''' is a [[Update 2.2|2.2]] Extreme Demon platformer level by RealMatter, published on 15 April 2024, verified by tokei on 27 April 2024.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG5_j-NGP2A</ref>

It reigned as the #1 hardest rated platformer Demon from 10 to 22 August 2024, succeeding unnerfed ECSTASIS and preceding [[CONVOLUTION]].

==History==
<!--May require history of the level's creation if possible.-->
Null was placed at the #1 spot on The Platformer List (TPL),<ref>https://gdplatformerlist.com/#/</ref> which includes both rated and unrated levels, on 28 April 2024, dethroning Cl5u37pr0ph0b1a as the hardest unrated platformer level at the time.

Null was briefly overtaken by the unrated level Super Temu Guy on 24 July 2024, but it got back its #1 spot after Super Temu Guy was lowered just nine days later.

On 10 August 2024, Null was placed at #1 on the rated platformer Demon List (Pemonlist),<ref>https://pemonlist.com/#/</ref> dethroning unnerfed ECSTASIS, which had been hack-verified.

On 21 August 2024, Null was dethroned as the hardest platformer level by CONVOLUTION, having held the top position on The Platformer List (TPL) for 115 days.

Two days later, Null was also dethroned by CONVOLUTION on the rated list (Pemonlist), only lasting 13 days as the hardest-rated platformer level.

On 24 September 2024, after more placement opinions from victors were gathered, Null and Cl5u37r0ph0b1a would swap on The Platformer List (TPL), making it so Null had never been the true Top 1 level on the unrated list. Cl5u37r0ph0b1a has stayed above Null ever since.

==Description==
Null features full mini-robot 'needle' gameplay, with the addition of orb and pad timings, collectables to go further, and incredibly tight jumps. The level is considered short for that difficulty by the community, with one checkpoint in the middle. The first part (before the checkpoint) is considered the hardest by many victors, but the second part (after the checkpoint) is not so easy either.
