Today, I had to throw away my laptop. All because of that stupid Discord kid. I'll explain. One day I was trying to see if Cortana could be deleted, I hate that program. But then I realized it was impossible. I decided to go on Discord for help. Some kid said he had a tool for that, and attached an image of a program called "WinCustomize.exe". I asked if he could send it to me. He did so, and I downloaded the program. He also told me to disable my antivirus as it might trigger as a false positive. You might've thought that would be a red flag, but that has been common with programs. After that I double clicked the program, terrible mistake.

When I double clicked the program, I saw this weird fire thing background. However, my laptop restarted so I waited. After so, I was going to log back in, but I didn't see my normal profile picture and name. I saw this deep fried basic user icon with a red background. It was named "NO ESCAPE". I felt so stupid. I should've not listened to that stupid Discord kid. There were other profiles as well, all of them having the same icon but with gibberish usernames. I tried to log in but the keyboard wouldn't work, except for some keys. I typed in "death" hoping that would be the password, and I was correct. I got back in but there were notes everywhere, they all read "YOUR COMPUTER IS MINE. YOU CAN NOT GET RID OF THIS MALWARE." I opened up the command prompt, but it said that it was disabled by my administrator. I quickly deleted the random notes. I thought to myself "Stupid Discord kids. I guess I'll reinstall Windows now." And so I did.

I clicked on "This PC" and it opened. I tried to open one of my other programs, got the warning message again. Weird.

Nullscapes is a 2.1/2.2 solo Extreme Demon level created and published by ItzKiba and verified by Zoink on September 4, 2024. It is the sequel to Shardscapes. Like its predecessor, the level heavily focuses on the robot game-mode, featuring challenging, unconventional gameplay and timing. The level is considered the hardest robot-heavy Demon level in the game.

Gameplay
THERE IS NO ESCAPE NOW.
The level starts with a callback to Shardscapes, featuring the original song 'Slow Down'. The player faces challenging robot timings until 11%, where they must jump onto a spike, causing the screen to warp and display the text 'get out of my head'. At 13%, the player dies, and the actual level begins on the following attempt, requiring players to execute tricky micro and corner jumps through tight passages with spike pillars. Two final micro and corner jumps lead to the next section. The next section maintains the same gameplay feature but introduces orbs that randomly swap types. Players must time their jumps carefully to avoid hitting the wrong orb. Following this, the segment adds glitch effects to platforms and a blur effect on the screen to disorient players. The level fades to black, resizing the player's robot and swapping the background and platform colours. The screen intermittently blurs, and the platform has a glitchy effect. This section includes challenging timings from Shardscapes, difficult corner jumps, and unconventional orb gameplay with triple clicks, adding complexity. The level concludes with a staircase of corner jumps, leading to a spiked platform where the player becomes invisible before the level ends.

Fixed hitboxes joke
On May 5, 2024, Kiba shared a screenshot of Nullscapes showing what appeared to be fixed hitboxes near an orb, sparking criticism from the community due to fixed hitboxes' effects on level enjoyability. Zoink, known for adding fixed hitboxes in his verifications, later clarified the shown hitboxes did not affect gameplay. Kiba admitted he had asked Zoink to add them as a joke to gauge the community's reaction.

Click Between Frames blocker
DO YOU WANT TO ENJOY THE LAST MINUTES USING YOUR COMPUTER?
On August 13, Zoink made a tweet of a screenshot showing an 82% death, referencing the Click Between Frames (CBF) mod on Geode in his copy's title. Confusion arose as to why the mod was referenced in the title, leading Kiba to confirm that the level featured an anti-cheat system to block the mod. This sparked a backlash from the community and drew criticism from players such as npesta, accusing Kiba of poorly handling the level. After the level was verified and published, players discovered that the anti-cheat system kills the player at 0%, with text urging them to play the level without CBF appearing at the bottom of the screen.

Kiba faced backlash for boasting about blocking the mod on Twitter; players were frustrated by Kiba's firm refusal to allow usage of the mod, even after the Demonlist had stated that records done with it would be allowed. He questioned why he received so much hate compared to Dorami, who faced no backlash for blocking the mod in his level, The Yangire. Community members explained that the difference was that Kiba was notably hostile and boastful, while Dorami wasn't. Kiba later created a Pastebin text explaining the reasoning behind the CBF blocker, affirming that he believes that CBF is illegitimate whilst clarifying that he does not dislike the mod.
I wrote "yes" next to the last line, and it wrote:

The message accompanying the CBF blocker became a meme in the community which went viral and spread to the wider gaming community, including in Omori and Ultrakill.
GOOD LUCK.

Trivia
It opened up task manager, command prompt, and paint. The screen was getting deep fried again. I tried to find the malware using Command Prompt to open up File Explore and I found it. But when I deleted it, my laptop displayed the Blue Screen of Death. I thought to myself, "Was I too late? Did me deleting the malware cause the crash?" I closed my laptop, took it outside, and threw it away. Well there goes a thousand dollars.
*The level is free to copy.
*The level contains 63,179 objects.
*The level is 1m 26s in length.
*The level was rated on September 7, 2024.
*The level was initially placed at #3 on the Demonlist on October 7, 2024, above Silent clubstep (#4) and below Acheron (#2).
**This addition pushed KOCMOC out of the Top 10, qoUEO into the Extended List, and Gustavo Fring into the Legacy List for the second time.
*At over 90,000 attempts, Zoink's verification of Nullscapes is the highest amount he has spent on a verification project, followed by Acheron (72,808) and Tidal Wave (49,534). According to Zoink, this is due to his weaker skillset in the robot game-mode.
*The level was initially set to be verified by vulcanium4 and cobrablitz before Zoink passed up the verification.

Chapter 1: Cortana

Today, I had to throw away my laptop. All because of that stupid Discord kid. I'll explain. One day I was trying to see if Cortana could be deleted, I hate that program. But then I realized it was impossible. I decided to go on Discord for help. Some kid said he had a tool for that, and attached an image of a program called "WinCustomize.exe". You might've thought that would be a red flag, but that has been common with programs. After that I double clicked the program, terrible mistake.

Chapter 2: Payload

When I double clicked the program, I saw this weird fire thing background. However, my laptop restarted so I waited. After so, I was going to log back in, but I didn't see my normal profile picture and name. I saw this deep fried basic user icon with a red background. It was named "NO ESCAPE". I felt so stupid. I opened up the command prompt, but it said that it was disabled by my administrator. I quickly deleted the random notes. I thought to myself "Stupid Discord kids. I guess I'll reinstall Windows now." And so I did.

Chapter 3: Zip Zip

I logged back in, but when I did so, my stuff was bouncing around the place. I didn't know how this kid did this. I was panicking. I reinstalled Windows again. Windows might've accidently not have removed the malware that could do this.

Chapter 4: Fred Durst

I logged back in again. Everything seemed normal. However, when I went to click on Google Chrome, it said gave me a warning and it said "Message from Fred Durst: fred durst says: no computer for today silly boy go outside to play". I clicked on "This PC" and it opened. I tried to open one of my other programs, got the warning message again. Weird.

Chapter 5: Deep Fry

When I logged in, my screen got deep fried. I didn't even know that was possible. It kept getting deep fried and I panicked. I didn't know what to do. I have never seen malware similar to this. Soon it got faster, I couldn't do anything. Later I reinstalled Windows.

Chapter 6: Last Moments

Once I did so, I was met with the same red fire background. Later a notepad was pulled up and wrote the following:

THERE IS NO ESCAPE NOW.

DO NOT TRY TO CLOSE THIS WINDOW, YOUR COMPUTER IS NOW DONE FOR ANYWAY.

DO YOU WANT TO ENJOY THE LAST MINUTES USING YOUR COMPUTER?

I wrote "yes" next to the last line, and it wrote:

GOOD LUCK.

It opened up task manager, command prompt, and paint. The screen was getting deep fried again. I tried to find the malware using Command Prompt to open up File Explore and I found it. But when I deleted it, my laptop displayed the Blue Screen of Death. I thought to myself, "Was I too late? Did me deleting the malware cause the crash?"
