Penumbral (formerly known as Shaded xStep) is a 2.2 Extreme Demon collaboration level hosted by suffixpoint and created by the members of Cherry Team, verified by w3rty on 5 March 2026.[1] As its former name suggests, the level is heavily inspired by the main level xStep. The level is generally not fast-paced, with the speed accelerating in the later parts. It is mainly monochromatic, with a predominant grey palette sometimes seasoned with orange decorations and bright light flashes. Similar to Acheron, Penumbral features difficult cube and wave segments, straight-fly, and no memory, making it a good choice for players with strong raw skill.
