Powerful is a 2.1 Harder level by GD Jose. It is the fifth and final level of the Spike Gauntlet.

Description

Powerful features a route divergence starting at 15% where only one can be selected and gameplay differs between each. User coins appear in both routes, requiring that the level be replayed to collect all of them.

  • 0-18%: The level begins empty, popping into view after the first spike at 5%. At 9%, the player can jump down to the bottom route and access a question mark block, which can toggle the states of red-outlined objects. After a short double-speed section, the original top route transitions into a wave while the original bottom route transitions into a ship directly above.
  • 18-36%: After another short cube section, both routes continue into a double-speed ball section with long floating platforms. The player turns back into a cube for an auto section as both routes split off. The top route goes up while the bottom route goes down.
  • 36-60%:
    • Top route: The gameplay continues along a spike corridor filled with slanted rectangular structures and saws. Game-modes progress from a double-speed ship to a normal-speed UFO, double-speed mini-ball, and finally, triple-speed dual-cube. Another transition starts at 57%.
    • Bottom route: The gameplay here shares similarities with the top route but uses sloped structures instead and has different game-modes. From a double-speed spider, a normal-speed ball, another double-speed spider, and a triple-speed mini-cube follow.
  • 60-76%: Next, both routes enter a more open cube section filled with breakable blocks. Question mark blocks show up again, and the player is required to hit them to survive. Both routes merge at the 69% ball part.
  • 76-100%: Another corridor meets the player after a transition. This time, it is filled with more unique rectangular structures. The game-mode progression goes from ship to dual wave to UFO to spider, the level disappearing after the player enters the final cube portal.

User coins

  • The first coin is located at 27% and requires the player to go the top route. The player must collect a key placed on the wave section at 22%, unlocking a platform holding the key at the next ball section.
  • The second coin is located at 47% and requires the player to go the bottom route. The coin is placed on a platform opposing one of the spider section's platforms, and the player must quickly make two inputs as the spider to get it.
  • The third coin is located at 90% after both routes merge. It is placed above a floating platform in the UFO section.
