SUPERHATEMEWORLD (SHMW) is a 1.9/2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted by EndLevel and IcEDCave and published by IcEDCave. It is a hell-themed old semi-impossible level featuring slow and tight gameplay. The old version of this level was verified by UFokinWotM8. The level was later buffed and re-decorated. The new version was verified by Cursed on September 30, 2022, after 9,994 attempts.
History
SUPERHATEMEWORLD was first previewed/showcased on April 22, 2018,[1] showcasing some decoration, as well as the entire layout. The first version of the layout was created on the 1.9 Geometry Dash Private Server.
On April 11, 2019, the second version of SHMW was showcased on IcEDCave's channel,[2] showing the entirety of the level, including decoration. Two days later, IcEDCave uploaded a run of 58-100%.[3] About a year after this run, IcEDCave returned to the level on March 5, 2020, achieving 43% on its unnerfed version.[4] After these two runs, the level fades into obscurity.
A couple of years later, on September 3, 2021, a player named UFokinWotM8 (also known as UFWM) picked up the level and achieved two runs, 52% and 63-100%.[5] UFWM claimed he would try to complete SHMW, as he got those previously stated runs within two hours of picking the level up. In the next couple of days, UFWM made fast progress on this version of SHMW, achieving 74% on September 5, 2021,[6] and 88% on September 6, 2021.[7] Finally, on September 7, 2021, UFWM verified the unnerfed, second version of SUPERHATEMEWORLD in 6,102 attempts;[8] however, the level remained unrated.
Two months later, on November 27, 2021, river uploaded a video titled 'my part in SUPERHATEMEWORLD'.[9] This informed the community that EndLevel and IcEDCave were hosting a re-deco of the level in its unnerfed state, as well as buffing many parts. Many other creators in the re-decorated version uploaded their parts in the next couple of months, including IcEDCave, who previewed his part on December 2, 2021.[10]
On January 30, 2022, UFWM announced that he be the official verifier of the remake, additionally showing that he had achieved 43%.[11] He made fast progress on the new version, achieving 56% on February 2, 2022,[12] and achieving 69%, as well as 63-100% on February 6, 2022.[13] After silence around the level's progress, UFWM, unfortunately, announced that he be dropping the SHMW remake due to university and giving the level to the player declan.[14]
Since declan has privatised all the Geometry Dash content on his YouTube channel, his progress on SHMW is not very well known. After declan disappeared from YouTube and Geometry Dash, the level's verification process was stagnant for a couple of months.
Completely out of nowhere, on September 30, 2022, Cursed uploaded his verification video for the remake of SUPERHATEMEWORLD.[15] The level took Cursed 9,994 attempts to verify. The level was rated on October 11, 2022, and placed at #30 on the Demonlist on November 13, 2022.
Gameplay
- 0-22% (RealVet): The level begins in a single-speed cube section containing tight jumps and orb timings. The player then must jump into a ball portal, narrowly avoiding spikes in a tight corridor until going up into a mini-cube portal. The player then encounters a spam part, one of the most notorious parts of the level. After this spam, the player lands in a ship portal with a long straight-fly corridor with gravity/size changes.
- 22-40% (Doop): This part begins with a half-speed memory ball section, with fake pathways, orbs, spikes and much more. The player must find the correct path and make it to the UFO section at single-speed, where there are gravity changes and orbs, and ends with about three to four seconds of UFO spam into the ceiling. Afterwards is a break at half-speed, with two invisible jumps underneath the word 'brEAK'.
- 40-48% (EndLevel): The player gets launched into a slow wave segment, another notorious part of this level. This wave has tight timings and narrow pathways, ending with a tight corridor with rhythmic click patterns and spam.
- 48-76% (IcEDCave): After the wave, the player drops into a short cube section with a difficult timing and then gets thrown into a triple-speed tight straight-fly corridor. After this, the player enters a half-speed UFO section with tight timings and gravity/size changes, followed by a single-speed mini-cube section with fakes and a double-click. Next is a ball corridor, similar to those in the Hell Series by Sohn0924. This corridor requires a rhythmic click pattern to pass. Afterwards is a short cube section with orb timings and another straight-fly corridor. At the end of this corridor is tight ship gameplay at half-speed, requiring good ship manoeuvring, followed by a long upside-down straight-fly corridor that flashes in and out of visibility. This corridor also sets the player at single-speed halfway through and then back to half-speed. After this straight-fly, the player is given another little break as a mini-cube.
- 76-88% (Kallari): This part begins with a single-speed mini-ball section, with late, silent-like blue orb timings. Afterwards, the player becomes a normal-sized ball and enters a little corridor, similar to the one in IcEDCave's part, where they again need a rhythmic click pattern to get through. The player drops into an upside-down UFO portal where they must spam against the ceiling to avoid spikes below and eventually reach a ship portal, where they must hold and release depending on their gravity.
- 88-100% (river): Afterwards, the player enters a cube section containing difficult timings, a bit of memory and blue orb spam near the end. Finally, there is a very tight straight-fly corridor near the ground and another short straight-fly corridor in the middle.
