Scarlet Surge is a 1.9 solo Harder 6* level created and published by Insendium. It is the second level in the Chaos Gauntlet and is known for its length and epileptic effects.
Gameplay
The level starts with a half-speed ship sequence containing some flashing blocks and a warning sign at the beginning. It then goes into a normal-speed cube section with various orbs and pads, followed by a ball segment with orbs, pads, gravity portals, and flashing platforms. Next, the screen is mirrored, and the player enters a relatively easy double-speed UFO segment where they have to avoid blocks. It is followed by a normal-speed wave section with some easy timings and switches back to the normal screen direction in the middle.
It then transitions into a cube section with some simple jumps, after which the screen is mirrored as the player enters a ship with some saws, which become mini in the middle. The level returns to normal mirroring, and the level continues into a ball with flashing blocks. The ball becomes a dual in the middle, followed by a mirrored UFO segment that becomes mini near the end. Then, the player enters a dual-ship sequence, a dual-cube section, a ship sequence with a lot of up-and-down flying, then an auto cube section with texts "thanks !" and "Insendium."
