Silent Club is a 1.5/1.6/2.1 former impossible Extreme Demon level by Play 1107696 (BlackP2sFull in-game), who verified it illegitimately. This level is famous for kickstarting the 'Silent levels' trend and is one of the two levels in said series beaten legitimately. It is also the oldest-rated Extreme Demon, published on 1 April 2014.

History
After almost six and a half years of being unbeaten legitimately, Luqualizer verified the unnerfed version on 29 October 2020. He accomplished this on the 1.9 GDPS since the unnerfed version does not work in Update 2.1 due to broken layered orbs. In early April 2021, Luqualizer began grinding a fixed version of Silent Club that worked in the current game update. This version included cleaning up the orb spam section at 46%, removing a secret way, and fixing the layered orbs. He verified and published this fixed version on 24 April 2021, and the level was rated on the same day.
The level was published on 1st April 2014, suggesting to be an elaborate "April Fools Joke", and got rated by Robtop. After its publication, the level fell into a controversy for its very hard difficulty, making the very first demon to be at the first position in the early era of the Geometry Dash Demonlist (surpassing Stereo Demoness) back in 2014 with only few players able to get more than 10% (At the time, the world record was by Crack who did 15%).

Eventually, the level lost its rating due to its secret way, and got eliminated from the list because it wasn't beaten legitimately. Despite this, players continue to make run of this level for trying to beat: Zobros did it 52%-100% claiming to be an easy task and "not even hard" at the video of his run; Dark Sary increase the world record with 23% at 30 May 2015 and Riot became the first person to were able to surpass the first spam part on stream. Even with those runs, the level lost its popularity due to the creation of more popular impossible levels like Silent Clubstep, Silent Circles, and Death Corridor.
The completion of Silent Club spawned a significant discussion about the possibility of beating the other Silent levels, leading to a rush of impossible level completions, which culminated in the verification of Silent clubstep.

On December 13, 2017, the player SrGuillester (a player who also beat "Silentfunk") did an unbelievable record of 45% in only 7 minutes recorded. In 2017, creator Superex creates an unnerfed version of Silent Club changing the spam part with a fairly easy straight fly this version got beaten by many players such as Sunix.
History
Silent Club was published on 1 April 2014 as an elaborate April Fools' joke, and it was subsequently rated by RobTop. After its release, the level sparked controversy for its brutal difficulty. It was the first Demon to be in the first position in the early era of the Demonlist back in 2014 by surpassing Stereo Demoness. Only a few players could get more than 10% (at the time, the world record was by Crack, who did 15%).

The unnerfed version by Black2PSfull got verified by Luqualizer only on 29th October 2020. He states that the level is extremely unbalanced since 0%-43% is around Bloodbath difficulty, while 53%-100% is an "Insane Demon" difficulty and the spam sections carry all the difficulty, claimed to be top 20. He beat it in a 1.9 Server because Silent Club is "broken" on 2.1 and it took him 15K attempts.
Eventually, Silent Club lost its rating due to a supposed secret way. It was also eliminated from the list because its completion was deemed illegitimate. Despite this, many players attempted to beat it. Zobros did 52-100%, claiming it to be an easy task and 'not even hard' in the video of his run. Dark Sary raised the world record to 23% on 30 May 2015. Riot became the first person to beat the first spam legitimately on stream. Even with those runs, the level faded into obscurity due to the birth of more popular Silent levels, such as Silent clubstep, Silent Circles, and Death Corridor, and attention shifted to those levels.

Gameplay
On 13 December 2017, the player SrGuillester (a player who also beat 'Silentfunk') achieved an unbelievable record of 45% in only seven minutes of recording. In 2017, Superex created a nerfed version of Silent Club by replacing the spam part with an easy straight-fly. This version was beaten by many players, such as Sunix.

* 0-5%: The level starts with a short, easy, cube section but with an hard spam at the very beginning.
Luqualizer verified the unnerfed version by BlackP2sFull on 29 October 2020. He states that Silent Club is highly unbalanced. The section 0-42% is around Bloodbath difficulty, while 53-100% is 'Insane Demon' difficulty, and the spam sections carry all the difficulty. He claimed that the level is around Top 20 difficulty. He beat it in a 1.9 private server. The reason is that Silent Club has layered orbs with three orbs on top of each other. In Update 2.1, it is possible to do two-layered orbs, but not three. The bugs around 46-50% are due to physics changes in Update 2.0 that make the level impossible in Update 2.1. The verification took Luqualizer about 15,000 attempts. He would later verify and upload his version to the Geometry Dash servers with the orb masking bug fixed. However, if the Low Detail Mode option is enabled, the layered orbs with three orbs placed on top of one another reappear within the level.
* 6-13%: Then we are introduced to an hard ship sequences, with straight fly and a lot of mirror portal, later we enter in a timing based ball part and then we go in an hard diagonal straight fly.
* 14-20%: There is a mini cube part that require timing and fast click followed by a pretty easy ball section.
* 21-28%: After a pretty hard mini-UFO part there are a little straight fly section and then an hard cube timing part with two seemingly pixel-perfect jump and a perfectly timed blue orb.
* 29-34%: There is a ball section with mirror portals and a lot of orb with some easy timing, then we go in a mini-ship section that must be straight fly, normal-size portal and mini portal make this part a little tricky.
* 35-43%: After a fairly easy xStep reminiscence section with a mini-ship we enter in a tricky straight fly.
* 44-52%: The most popular part of the level, and also the hardest. Start with a well timed spam section with the cube, when you must go to a down corridor in to an upper corridor of the spam, next there are a timed section full of orb-masking and a final spam after a mirror portal. This is the part what make the level near-impossible.
* 53-68%: There a pretty easy straight fly with a mini-ship, a very simple mini-UFO section and an auto part, this is considered the easiest part of the level.
* 69-81%: After a tricky ball section there are a simple mini-UFO section full of gravity portal and a simple mini-ship also full of gravity portal, both in a zig-zag corridor.
* 82-100%: After a memory based maze, there are a simple mini-ship and the level ends.

Trivia
On 24 April 2021, seemingly out of nowhere, Silent Club received a Demon rating on Luqualizer's account, becoming the oldest level to get the 'Extreme Demon' rating. He would later upload a video verifying his version on 26 April 2021. The rating of this level had a revolutionary effect on the community. It also gave Silent Club the spotlight for the first time in five years and, like the previous rate, caused controversy. Some players said it should not be rated, while others said it should. RobTop had decided to rate the level; it later got placed on the Demonlist. Players, such as AeonAir, made videos talking about the rating of the level. It was considered a significant moment in Geometry Dash history; Luqualizer's video of his 1.9 completion garnered more than 20,000 views after the news that the level had been rated. Many unknown players, especially mobile players, started trying to beat the level.
* This is the first Silent Level.
* It was the second level deemed to be impossible after the infamous "Heaven and Hell".
* Before Luqualizer beat the unnerfed version, many players claim to have beat Silent Club after beating the nerfed Superex's version.
* The creator "i ViRuZ i" actually create a remake of this level, named "Silent Abyss".
* The difficulty of this level is controversial, some people argue that is Top 20, other Top 30, and other even Top 10. Even Luqualizer, the only player who beat it legit and recorded, comment in an ambiguous way: he stated that the level is Top 20 difficulty (slightly harder than Sonic Wave, currently #33 on the list), but he also stated that half of the level is an insane demon difficulty while the first 43% around Bloodbath difficulty (currently #156 on the list), making the difficulty of this level even below Top 100 with 44-52% be a very cancerous and weirdly hard part.
* The level length is 1:20, despite this, on GD server is considered a "medium" level.

On 29 April 2021, an unknown player named Tuggy became the first victor of the newly rated level after 10,668 attempts, stating that Silent Club should be at least Top 30.

Despite being roughly around Bloodlust's difficulty on the Demonlist, the community widely debated the genuine difficulty. GeoDasher and CreatorRiley think Silent Club is overrated. GeoDasher believed the level was easier than Lucid Chaos, and CreatorRiley thought it was Top 40 at the time, rather than Top 30. cobrablitz considered the level underrated, saying it should be above Cognition.

Description
*0-5%: Silent Club begins with a three-block-wide spam cube section. The next part of the section consists of a few triple-spikes with mirror portals and requires clicking the orbs inside the blocks to switch gravity.
*5-13%: The player enters a tricky ship segment with straight-flying and a few mirror portals. The blocks in the middle of the corridor are four spikes assembled to resemble a block, so the player must not touch them. After a straight-fly, there is a ball section where the player must time some orbs to pass them and reach the next part, a diagonal-fly.
*13-20%: There is a mini-cube part requiring timing and fast inputs. Then, there is a timing-based ball section.
*20-29%: The player enters a relatively hard mini-UFO part, a small straight-fly section, a hard cube timing part with two seemingly near-frame-perfect jumps and a blue orb requiring perfect timing.
*29-35%: Next, there is a ball section with tons of mirror portals and orbs with some easy timings, before the player transitions into a mini-ship where they must straight-fly while normal-size portals and mini-portals make it harder.
*35-44%: After a mini-ship segment, the player transitions into a wonky straight-fly section.
*44-52%: This is the infamous and most insane part of the level. It begins with a blue orb spam section where the player, as the cube, must perform difficult spamming, moving from the lower to the upper corridor of the spam. Next, there is a timing-based section utilising orb masking, followed by a final spam section after a mirror portal. This part is why players used to deem this level impossible.
*52-68%: There is a relatively easy straight-fly as a mini-ship, a simple mini-UFO section, and an auto part. It is considered the easiest part of the level.
*68-82%: After a tricky ball section, there is a simple mini-UFO section containing gravity portals and a simple mini-ship with the same gimmick, both in a zig-zag corridor.
*82-100%: After a dark memory-based maze, there is a simple mini-ship segment before the level ends with a pink background.

Trivia
*Silent Club was rated on 24 April 2021 and placed at #15 on the Demonlist on 17 May 2021, above Bloodlust and below Lucid Nightmares.
**This addition pushed Bloodlust out of the Top 15, Ethereal Artifice to the Extended List, and Dimension Breaker to the Legacy List.
*Silent Club is regarded as the 14th instance of the hardest rated level in the game's history.
**However, worth mentioning is that the original Demonlist was started in 2015 by the player loogiah, meaning all levels created before 2015 were not Top 1 for the simple reason of the list determining the hardest levels in the game <u>not existing at the time</u>.
*Luqualizer's version of Silent Club is free to copy, while BlackP2sFull's version cannot be copied.
*Silent Club contains the second fewest number of objects in an Extreme Demon, having 7,994 objects, behind untitled unmastered with 947 objects.
*Silent Club was the second known rated level to include orb spam after the infamous Heaven And Hell.
*The creator ViRuZ created a remake of Silent Club, named Silent Abyss.
*If Silent Club was not unrated, it could have remained at #1 on the Demonlist for almost five years (since only Zodiac was the first-rated Top 1 Demon considered harder than this).
*There were numerous unofficial sequels to Silent Club made a while after its release.
*There is an upcoming Top 1 remake of the level called Silent Club Plus. Whizkid05 is the verifier of the level, who also made a preview of the level on 16 September 2024.
**Since the preview, Whizkid05 would not be making any updates on the level until almost a year later, on 14 September 2025, when he uploaded a record of 58% and a 55-100% run.
*Silent Club has an easier remake known as Silentium Clavas, similar to Silentium Gradas to Silent clubstep.
*The infamous 'secret way' found by Cyclic is technically not a secret way. Restoration Union had brute-forced all versions from Silent Club's initial release to Update 2.0, and the cube would always miss by a hair's breadth when attempting the blue orb trick. While there is a possibility that BlackP2sFull verified Silent Club using this bug, it is unlikely, given a tweet on Restoration Union's Twitter account. Eventually, BlackP2sFull himself confirmed he put that 'secret way' as a joke to fool people. The three potential ways used to verify levels before Silent Club's verification are GameGuardian variable trick, speed hack, and Arduino Bot (listed from most likely to least likely).
*AeonAir made a video with UFokinWotM8 where the latter taught him how to spam consistently. Moreover, in one of his last streams, UFokinWotM8 played Silent Club to show his consistency with the spam.
*The placement of Operation Evolution on 1 August 2025 pushed Silent Club into the Legacy List of the Demonlist.

After almost six and a half years of being unbeaten legitimately, Luqualizer verified the unnerfed version on 29 October 2020. He accomplished this on the 1.9 GDPS[Notes 1] since the unnerfed version does not work in Update 2.1 due to broken layered orbs.

The completion of Silent Club spawned a significant discussion about the possibility of beating the other Silent levels, leading to a rush of impossible level completions, which culminated in the verification of Silent clubstep.

History

[edit | edit source]

Silent Club was published on 1 April 2014 as an elaborate April Fools' joke, and it was subsequently rated by RobTop. After its release, the level sparked controversy for its brutal difficulty. It was the first Demon to be in the first position in the early era of the Demonlist back in 2014 by surpassing Stereo Demoness.[1] Only a few players could get more than 10% (at the time, the world record was by Crack, who did 15%).[2]

Eventually, Silent Club lost its rating due to a supposed secret way. It was also eliminated from the list because its completion was deemed illegitimate. Despite this, many players attempted to beat it. Zobros did 52-100%,[3] claiming it to be an easy task and 'not even hard' in the video of his run. Dark Sary raised the world record to 23% on 30 May 2015.[4] Riot became the first person to beat the first spam legitimately on stream.[5] Even with those runs, the level faded into obscurity due to the birth of more popular Silent levels, such as Silent clubstep, Silent Circles, and Death Corridor, and attention shifted to those levels.

On 13 December 2017, the player SrGuillester (a player who also beat 'Silentfunk')[6] achieved an unbelievable record of 45% in only seven minutes of recording.[7] In 2017, Superex created a nerfed version of Silent Club by replacing the spam part with an easy straight-fly. This version was beaten by many players, such as Sunix.[8]

Luqualizer verified the unnerfed version by BlackP2sFull on 29 October 2020.[9] He states that Silent Club is highly unbalanced.

On 24 April 2021, seemingly out of nowhere, Silent Club received a Demon rating on Luqualizer's account, becoming the oldest level to get the 'Extreme Demon' rating.[10] He would later upload a video verifying his version on 26 April 2021.[11] The rating of this level had a revolutionary effect on the community. It also gave Silent Club the spotlight for the first time in five years and, like the previous rate, caused controversy. Some players said it should not be rated, while others said it should. RobTop had decided to rate the level; it later got placed on the Demonlist. Players, such as AeonAir,[12] made videos talking about the rating of the level. It was considered a significant moment in Geometry Dash history; Luqualizer's video of his 1.9 completion garnered more than 20,000 views after the news that the level had been rated. Many unknown players, especially mobile players, started trying to beat the level.

On 29 April 2021, an unknown player named Tuggy became the first victor of the newly rated level after 10,668 attempts, stating that Silent Club should be at least Top 30.[13]

Next, there is a timing-based section utilising orb masking, followed by a final spam section after a mirror portal. This part is why players used to deem this level impossible.
  • 52-68%: There is a relatively easy straight-fly as a mini-ship, a simple mini-UFO section, and an auto part. It is considered the easiest part of the level.
  • 68-82%: After a tricky ball section, there is a simple mini-UFO section containing gravity portals and a simple mini-ship with the same gimmick, both in a zig-zag corridor.
  • 82-100%: After a dark memory-based maze, there is a simple mini-ship segment before the level ends with a pink background.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • Silent Club was rated on 24 April 2021 and placed at #15 on the Demonlist on 17 May 2021, above Bloodlust and below Lucid Nightmares.
    • This addition pushed Bloodlust out of the Top 15, Ethereal Artifice to the Extended List, and Dimension Breaker to the Legacy List.
  • Silent Club is regarded as the 14th instance of the hardest rated level in the game's history.
    • However, worth mentioning is that the original Demonlist was started in 2015 by the player loogiah,[14] meaning all levels created before 2015 were not Top 1 for the simple reason of the list determining the hardest levels in the game not existing at the time.
  • Luqualizer's version of Silent Club is free to copy, while BlackP2sFull's version cannot be copied.
  • Silent Club contains the second fewest number of objects in an Extreme Demon, having 7,994 objects, behind untitled unmastered with 947 objects.
  • Silent Club was the second known rated level to include orb spam after the infamous Heaven And Hell.
  • The creator ViRuZ created a remake of Silent Club, named Silent Abyss.[15]
  • If Silent Club was not unrated, it could have remained at #1 on the Demonlist for almost five years (since only Zodiac was the first-rated Top 1 Demon considered harder than this).
  • There were numerous unofficial sequels to Silent Club made a while after its release.
  • There is an upcoming Top 1 remake of the level called Silent Club Plus. Whizkid05 is the verifier of the level, who also made a preview of the level on 16 September 2024.[16]
    • Since the preview, Whizkid05 would not be making any updates on the level until almost a year later, on 14 September 2025, when he uploaded a record of 58% and a 55-100% run.[17]
  • Silent Club has an easier remake known as Silentium Clavas, similar to Silentium Gradas to Silent clubstep.
  • The infamous 'secret way' found by Cyclic is technically not a secret way. Restoration Union had brute-forced all versions from Silent Club's initial release to Update 2.0, and the cube would always miss by a hair's breadth when attempting the blue orb trick. While there is a possibility that BlackP2sFull verified Silent Club using this bug, it is unlikely, given a tweet on Restoration Union's Twitter account.[18] Eventually, BlackP2sFull himself confirmed he put that 'secret way' as a joke to fool people.[19] The three potential ways used to verify levels before Silent Club's verification are GameGuardian variable trick, speed hack, and Arduino Bot (listed from most likely to least likely).
  • AeonAir made a video with UFokinWotM8 where the latter taught him how to spam consistently.[20] Moreover, in one of his last streams, UFokinWotM8 played Silent Club to show his consistency with the spam.[21]
  • The placement of Operation Evolution on 1 August 2025 pushed Silent Club into the Legacy List of the Demonlist.

Notes

[edit | edit source]
  1. ↑ The 1.9 GDPS is a Geometry Dash private server (an unofficial server managed by members of the Geometry Dash community). The GDPS was created so people could tinker with older versions of Geometry Dash. In the case of the 1.9 GDPS, it was used to help people relive memories. However, Luqualizer used it to verify unnerfed Silent Club (to prove it was possible) and then fixed Silent Club.
