Sonar is a 1.9/2.0 Easy level created in collaboration by Minesap and published by JerkRat. It is the first level of the Alpha Pack.
Description
Sonar is a level inspired by Stereo Madness, featuring vibrant, rhythm-based gameplay with various segments that challenge timing and precision for new players. The level's decoration is synchronized with its soundtrack, creating a smooth and engaging experience for newer and more experienced players alike. The level features free and open gameplay, with very loose timings in cube sections and free open UFO, Ship, and Cube sections.
- A cube sequence with simple jumps and gameplay akin to Stereo Madness takes place from 0% to 28%
- A ship sequence with tall pillar obstacles follows from 29% to 42%
- A cube sequence with thorn and spike jumps occurs from 43% to 57%
- A wave sequence requiring precise maneuvering through tight spaces spans 58% to 71%
- A final cube sequence with straightforward platforming runs from 72% to 86%
- A 0.5x-speed UFO finale with careful navigation concludes the level from 87% to 100%
User coins
- The first coin is located at 31% in the first and only ship sequence. To collect it, the ship flies into a pillar with a gap at the top of the level.
- The second coin is located at 45% in the second cube sequence between two cubes. To collect it, the cube must avoid jumping onto the third pillar, instead dropping down, collecting the coin, and jumping across the pit, placing it back on the normal path.
- The third and final coin is located at 67% in the first and only wave sequence. To collect it, the wave is directed down into an opening in a large triangle-like structure at the bottom to collect it. After doing so, it maneuvers up and out of the obstacle through the second opening.
Gameplay
Trivia
