Stereo Demoness is a 1.5/1.8 Insane Demon level by MaJackO. As its name suggests, it is a remake of Stereo Madness. It was verified using some of the earliest hacking methods available in Geometry Dash. This level was among the first to feature crafted art pieces and structures, and although they were simple, they inspired more complex structures in later updates.

History
Stereo Demoness was initially released in its unnerfed state on 22 February 2014 and was considered nearly impossible to beat, but it was nerfed in a subsequent update in November 2014. On 28 September 2021, KPGDylan verified the unnerfed version of Stereo Demoness.
Stereo Demoness was created by a Korean creator named MaJackO (known by many other names back then), a member of the GW forums. MaJackO has stated himself that the level was inspired by his 1.5 level "Sibal" (not available on the servers). Stereo Demoness was released towards the end of 1.5. It instantly became one of the hardest levels ever released and rated, rivaling the likes of Silent Club and Ice Carbon Diablo X in 1.6 for having such extreme timing and flying requirements.

However, in 1.9 people began questioning the legitimacy of older demons, and because of its difficulty, Stereo Demoness received a lot of suspicions. MaJackO was likely aware of this, so on October 11, 2014, he nerfed all of his difficult levels, including Stereo Demoness. Stereo Demoness was nerfed down to a very hard Demon from an Extreme Demon, which allowed Crack to become the first person to legitimately beat the level.

Gameplay
By Update 1.8, players began questioning the legitimacy of older Demons, and because of its difficulty, Stereo Demoness received significant scrutiny. MaJackO was likely aware of this, so on 11 October 2014, he nerfed all his difficult levels, including Stereo Demoness. Stereo Demoness got nerfed down to an Insane Demon from an Extreme Demon, which allowed Crack to become the first person to beat the level legitimately.
The level begins with a cube section in which you jump over some spikes and hit some jump orbs. Then you have to jump and hit another jump orb, without crashing into a triangle made of spikes. Then you must jump onto a platform without hitting spikes, now you must hit a purple jump orb and jump over a bunch of saws.

Next, you hit a blue orb and bounce off a pad just after the former, and hit two yellow orbs, trying not to crash into the spikes that hang from above. Then you jump onto a platform and try to jump to the platform below, without touching the spikes. Next you need to jump onto another platform as early as possible in order to bounce off the edge of another platform without hitting the spikes.
Description
<!--This section is way too wordy and is hard to follow. The section also should not use 'the' so often, such as 'the spikes', when it is not entirely clear what or where exactly 'the spikes' are.-->
*0-7%: The level begins with a cube section where the player needs to jump over spikes and hit some orbs. Then, they have to jump and hit another orb without crashing into a triangle made of spikes. After this, they must jump onto a platform without hitting spikes, followed by hitting a pink orb to jump over sawblades.
*7-13%: Next, the player must hit a blue orb, bounce off a pad just after, and hit two yellow orbs while trying not to crash into spikes hanging from above. Then the player jumps onto a platform and must jump to the next platform without touching any spikes. Next, the player needs to jump onto a third platform as early as possible to bounce off the edge of a fourth platform without hitting spikes.
*13-26%: After that, the player must bounce off pads and hit orbs immediately. After the eighth mirror portal, they need to use two orbs to avoid falling onto some spikes. After the tenth portal, the player must jump from a platform without hitting spikes, and after landing, immediately jump and hit an orb onto the platform. From there, they must jump and hit an orb above the spikes and between two mirror portals. Then, the player must jump onto the platforms and try not to run into spikes before going down and immediately bouncing without touching them. The part concludes with a yellow orb.
*27-35%: Following this is a short ball segment, where the player must avoid some spikes. Then comes a ship segment, where the player bounces off blue orbs, goes into a tight spike corridor, and must straight-fly through a corridor with tightly spaced spikes.
*35-43%: After the ship segment is a cube section with a few tight timings where the player must not hit structures above the platforms. Then, they must bounce off two pads and then immediately hit an orb after the second pad. Next, they must jump over a few structures that look like Koopa Troopa shells, each half missing. Then, the player bounces off two blue pads onto a pillar and must jump twice onto two more blue pads. This part leads the player to a fake where they must fall onto a lower part of the next pillar and make a tight jump near the end of the structure.
*43-66%: Next is a rather long mini-UFO segment where the player needs to spam to the ceiling as quickly as possible to go around structures with the appearance of a giant arm while changing gravity several times. Then, they must jump to the aisle with several blue orbs and one blue pad. They only need to bounce off the blue pad and hit a blue orb as quickly as possible. Following this, the player goes to the aisle below and must spam above some bushes. After that, they must quickly jump up the aisle and try not to run into the bushes on the ceiling or the structures made of pads in the middle, as they will throw the player into the bushes. Then, the player must jump into the middle passage. There is a short ship corridor between two others, where the player only needs to go above or below spikes. After this, the player enters a cube section. Here, they must jump onto a pillar, go down to the second pillar, jump from it to the third (if the player goes down, they will switch gravity due to a blue pad), and jump over spikes. Then, they must jump onto a platform with a ship portal. From here, a small ship segment begins, where the player must fly through a corridor, avoiding blue orbs.
*66-81%: After this, another cube section starts. The player must jump off a platform over a spike pit without touching a blue orb. Next, the player must jump to other platforms without jumping into structures and crashing into the ceiling. Then, they must immediately hit a yellow orb to bounce to the next platform, where there are two blue orbs and two pink orbs. The player could use only the pink orb or the two blue orbs by double-clicking to jump. A change in gravity occurs, and the player goes to the platform above, where a segment similar to the previous one appears, requiring tight jumps to reach other platforms. Following this, a gravity change occurs, and there is a blue orb that the player must not hit. After this, the player must jump on platforms. Then, they must go down from the fourth platform to the edge of another one with a spike. The player falls off this platform and must immediately jump to another platform. Then, they must jump onto the edge of a structure made of spikes and continue jumping as they fall from the top to another structure until they reach two yellow orbs. The player must jump onto the first one, land and jump onto a structure of a human before hitting a pink orb to jump into a ship portal.
*81-96%: A very difficult ship segment begins. Here, the player needs to fly past spikes and cube portals. After that, they must fly through openings between sawblades and spiked helmets. Then, they must go around 'swords' while changing gravity a few times. The player must fly through the middle passage between two 'swords'. Next, the player must hit a yellow orb and then fly over some spikes, which lead them down to an aperture with spikes hanging above. After this, the player must fly through a more complex opening, trying not to hit spikes hanging from everywhere. After this, they must hit a blue orb, fly to an opening below, hit another blue orb and fly through a narrow opening of a structure that depicts a demon.
*96-100%: Finally, there is a simple short UFO segment where the player only needs to avoid circular spike structures. The player enters a cluster of size portals and finishes the level.

After that, you must bounce off jump pads and hit jump orbs as soon as possible. After the eighth mirror portal, you need to hit two orbs so you do not fall onto some spikes. After the tenth portal, you must jump from a platform without hitting the spikes. After landing, immediately jump and hit an orb onto the platform, from which you jump and hit the orb located above the spikes and between two gravity (or mirror) portals. Then you jump onto the platforms and try not to run into the spikes. Then you go down below and immediately start to bounce without touching the spikes, and press on the jump orb.

*The unnerfed version of Stereo Demoness is regarded as the 12th instance of the hardest rated level in the game's history.
**However, worth mentioning is that the original Demonlist was started in 2015 by the player loogiah, meaning all levels created before 2015 were not Top 1 for the simple reason of the list determining the hardest levels in the game <u>not existing at the time</u>.
*Stereo Demoness was one of MaJackO's remakes of the first four original RobTop levels. The other three were Back on Mountain, Apologeist and Triangle Out. All four levels (except Triangle Out) were originally released in their unnerfed states, but they were all eventually nerfed.
*There is another rated level called Stereo Demoness by Blending. It is a 2-star level, which is Stereo Madness with demon structures above the spikes. Some players joke about beating the harder Stereo Demoness after beating the one by Blending, similar to Cataclysm 1 and sonic wave infinity by cerufiffy.
*At 25%, if the player hits the yellow orb, the player will enter a secret area with text saying in Korean, '인간의 욕심은 끝이 없다' ('Human greed is endless') along with a saw wall preventing the player from continuing.
*KPGDylan legitimately verified the unnerfed version of Stereo Demoness on 28 September 2021.
**Glow became the first victor, though he reverified it because the level was previously inaccurate.

Next comes the cube section, in which you need to jump onto the platforms as early as possible so as not to crash into the spikes hanging above the left edges of the platforms. Then you bounce off the two yellow trampolines and click on the sphere as quickly as possible to make a lower jump. Following you jump over three obstacles covered with spikes on the right sides. After you bounce off the blue trampolines and jump to the next two pillars, and to the third, covered with spikes from above, you must go down and jump from it to the next platform.

Next is a rather long mini UFO segment where you need to jump to the ceiling as quickly as possible to go around obstacles while changing gravity several times. Then jump to the aisle with several blue jump orbs and one blue jump pad. Here you only need to bounce off the trampoline and click on the sphere as quickly as possible. Following you go down to the aisle below and try not to run into the spikes. After that, you quickly jump up the aisle and try not to run into the spikes on top and the trampolines in the middle, because they throw you to the spikes. Then you jump into the middle passage. There will be a short stage of the ship, in which you only need to go around the spikes. Then, the player enters a cube section. Here, you jump onto a pole, go down to the second pillar, bounce from it to the third (if you go down, then fly up due to the blue trampoline) and jump the spikes. Then you jump onto the platform on which the portal is located. From here begins a small stage of the ship, in which you, trying not to change gravity, fly through a short tunnel.

We now enter another cube section. It is necessary, without bouncing off the blue jump orbs, to jump the pit with spikes. Next, you must jump to another platform without falling into the spikes and crashing into the ceiling, and from it to the next. Then you must jump from the yellow sphere to the next platform, on which there are two blue and two purple spheres. You only need to bounce off the purple. Then you change the gravity and go down to the platform above, where there is a stage similar to the stage of the cube, which goes after the first stage of the ship. After changing the gravity, in no case do not click on the blue sphere. Then you need to jump onto the platform and bounce off it as soon as possible in order to successfully jump onto the next three platforms. On the third platform, you go down to the platform covered with spikes, go down from it and immediately make a jump. Next, you need to jump to the edges.

A very difficult ship sequence begins. Here, you need to fly around the spikes without hitting the spikes and cube portals. After that, you must fly through the openings between the saws above and the spiked helmets below. Then you have to go around the "swords" while changing the gravity a couple of times. Then you need to fly through the middle passage located between the two “swords”. Next, you bounce off the sphere and after flying over the spike you go down to the aperture with spikes hanging from above. After you fly through a more complex opening, trying not to hit the spikes hanging from everywhere. Then you bounce off the blue sphere, fly to the opening below, click on another blue sphere and fly through the narrow opening.

Finally, there is a short and simple UFO segment where you only need to jump without running into spikes.

Trivia
* The level cannot be copied.
* The level contains 6,723 objects.
* This level is the 3rd most disliked Insane Demons on the server, only Theory of Troll and XYZ Step Infinity have more dislikes.
* Stereo Demoness was one of MaJackO's remakes of the first three original RobTop levels, the other two being Back on Mountain and Apologeist. All three of these levels were originally released in their extremely difficult unnerfed states but were all eventually nerfed.

Stereo Demoness was initially released in its unnerfed state on 22 February 2014 and was considered nearly impossible to beat, but it was nerfed in a subsequent update in November 2014. On 28 September 2021, KPGDylan verified the unnerfed version of Stereo Demoness.[1]

History

[edit | edit source]

Stereo Demoness was created by a South Korean creator named MaJackO (then known by many other names), a member of the Geometry World (GW) forums. MaJackO has stated that this level was inspired by the 1.5 level 'Sibal' (not available on the servers). Stereo Demoness was released towards the end of Update 1.5. It instantly became one of the hardest levels ever released and rated, rivalling other levels like Silent Club and ICE Carbon Diablo X in Update 1.6 for having such extreme timing and flying requirements.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • The unnerfed version of Stereo Demoness is regarded as the 12th instance of the hardest rated level in the game's history.
    • However, worth mentioning is that the original Demonlist was started in 2015 by the player loogiah,[2] meaning all levels created before 2015 were not Top 1 for the simple reason of the list determining the hardest levels in the game not existing at the time.
  • Stereo Demoness was one of MaJackO's remakes of the first four original RobTop levels. The other three were Back on Mountain, Apologeist and Triangle Out. All four levels (except Triangle Out) were originally released in their unnerfed states, but they were all eventually nerfed.
  • There is another rated level called Stereo Demoness by Blending. It is a 2-star level, which is Stereo Madness with demon structures above the spikes. Some players joke about beating the harder Stereo Demoness after beating the one by Blending, similar to Cataclysm 1 and sonic wave infinity by cerufiffy.
  • At 25%, if the player hits the yellow orb, the player will enter a secret area with text saying in Korean, '인간의 욕심은 끝이 없다' ('Human greed is endless') along with a saw wall preventing the player from continuing.
  • KPGDylan legitimately verified the unnerfed version of Stereo Demoness on 28 September 2021.[1]
    • Glow became the first victor, though he reverified it because the level was previously inaccurate.[3]
