===Sonic Wave situation===
After verifying Sonic Wave, Sunix faced backlash from players claiming he did not deserve to verify the level, as he had previously made a deal with [[Riot]] to let him beat Sonic Wave first. Sunix said his verification was unintentional, as he beat the level after removing start positions to see how far he could get.

Sunix later apologised to Riot, but many people still congratulated Sunix for this significant achievement. The day after the verification, Aurorus accused Sunix of using auto-click hacks and macroing, which divided the community; players like GuitarHeroStyles took Sunix's side, while fans of Mefewe and Riot, upset that the two players' year-long attempts were undermined, took Aurorus's side. Eventually, the community accepted Sunix as the first player to beat Sonic Wave legitimately. It was placed at #1 on the Demonlist (still on the Geometry Dash Forums at the time).
