* Originally upon release, Everyplay failed to work on several devices. However, compatibility was eventually added upon and improved until its discontinuation on 1 October 2018.
*Previously, created levels could be verified by completing them in [[Practice Mode|practice mode]]. The update prevented this, and such levels which had been verified using practice mode and published were delisted.
* This update fixed a bug which allowed users to verify a level by beating it in practice mode.
** Consequently, most existing levels that been completed using the "practice mode bug" were removed from the server.
 
* There is a noticeable delay with the cube while it goes through the mirror portal in the preview of the new level.

New level, Time Machine

Update 1.1 was the first major update to Geometry Dash released on 10 September 2013 for Android and 14 September 2013 for iOS. It introduced an eighth level, Time Machine, the ability to comment on user levels, disliking user levels, 1 new cube and 1 new colour.
