Update 1.4

New level, Clutterfunk

Update 1.4 was the fourth major update to Geometry Dash. It mainly introduced a new level, Clutterfunk, and was released on December 26, 2013. It also introduced the size portal, which shrinks the player and makes their actions quicker and smaller, but does not speed up the level itself.

Previews

On November 28, 2013, Robert Topala posted his first preview image for 1.4 through his social media accounts. It depicted a new bumpy portal, which turned out to be a size portal. Multiple saw obstacles were also featured in this picture, along with new blocks.

On December 3, 2013, Topala submitted his final preview image for the update, which portrayed five new ships that would be unlocked. This included the ship unlocked for completing Clutterfunk itself.

After a surprisingly long wait, Topala let Geometry Dash players know that Update 1.4 would be released before 2014. He also posted an Everyplay sneak peek of the new level featuring several of the upcoming features. It said 'Gameplay by Geometry Dash Zhen', making it likely that this is Robert's ingame account.

On December 26, 2013, Update 1.4 was released to the public. Topala also followed up with a feature list containing all the major introductions.

Soon after the update was released, Topala addressed the issues users were having with the game crashing if they had over 500 stars or five demon levels complete. Later in the day, he had fixed the issue (As of December 28th, 2013).

Reception

Following Update 1.4, Geometry Dash received even more popularity. It was included in the "Best Android Games In 2013" list by MakeUseOf.com. The article said, "It's only seven levels, but these are some of the the best levels you'll play."

Geometry Dash Lite Introductions

On November 26th, 2013, Geometry Dash Lite updated to 1.4 with the following:

• Unlock a new character and color!
• Bugfixes and tweaks.
