Update 1.4 was the fourth major update to Geometry Dash. It mainly introduced a new level, Clutterfunk, and was released on December 26, 2013.
Previews
On November 28, 2013, Robert Topala posted his first preview image for 1.4 through his social media accounts. It depicted a new bumpy portal, which turned out to be a size portal, and multiple "saw" obstacles.
On December 3, 2013, Topala submitted his final preview image for the update, which portrayed five new ships that would be unlocked. This included the ship unlocked for completing Clutterfunk itself.
After a surprisingly long wait, Topala let Geometry Dash players know that the 1.4 update would be released before 2014. He also posted an Everyplay sneak peek of the new level featuring several of the upcoming features.
On December 26, 2013, the 1.4 update was released to the public. Topala also followed up with a feature list containing all the major introductions.

Update 1.41
Soon after the update was released, Topala addressed the issues users were having with the game crashing. Later in the day, he allowed users with over 500 stars or five demon levels completed to play without crashes. It came out on December 28, 2013.
Reception
Following Update 1.4, Geometry Dash received even more popularity. It was included in the "Best Android Games In 2013" list by MakeUseOf.com. The article said, "It's only seven levels, but these are some of the the best levels you'll play."
