Veri SuBBo Challenge (often shortened to VSC) is an unrated 2.1 collaboration level created by BoBoBoBoBoBoBo (commonly shortened to Bo) and Woom, published by Bo and verified by Yossarian. It is a challenge level. The level is similar to Superr Challenge (also verified by Yossarian), a previous challenge by Bo, and shares a similar colour scheme and basic decoration approach. VSC is mostly a rusty colour, and the visual style is somewhat industrial. The gameplay consists entirely of extremely tight wave spam and timings, both as mini-size and normal-size. The speed varies between 0.5x and 1x throughout the level.

History

Bo and Woom initially created the level in 2018. Though only 16 seconds long, the level imposes a huge challenge with its extreme wave gameplay. In 2020, Bo posted that he completed the level. However, he later admitted hacking it. VSC gained extreme notoriety over the following year, as the community took it to be nearly impossible. Eventually, the level was legitimately verified by Yossarian on September 21, 2021. The community was shocked that this seemingly impossible challenge was suddenly verified, with a fluke from 48% to no less. The level was immediately placed at the top of the Challenge List. Even after being verified, it took almost a year for the first victor to be crowned. On June 22, 2022, Diamond would become the first victor after some brutal crashes at the end of the level.

Gameplay

VSC's gameplay is primarily wave-based. The level involves an extremely difficult wave segment involving tight gaps and gravity/size changes. Because of these features combined with the complete darkness, the margin for errors in manoeuvring the claustrophobic spaces of the level is minuscule. After beating the entire wave segment, the level ends with a cube that launches up and turns into a robot, after which the text 'GG' can be seen.

User coins

The level contains three bronze user coins, all of which can be collected at the end of the wave section, essentially rewarded for completing the level.

• Cursed crashed at 88%, dying to the last possible obstacle.
• Diamond's notable crashes include 88%, 81% and 71% before completing the level.

• The password for the level is 091101.
• The level contains 24,641 objects.
• The level is 16s in length.
• The level is currently #1 on the Challenge List, above Paraballa (#2).
• It was knocked into the legacy list for a short time due to having spam-based gameplay, but moved back later on.
• For a short time, The Third Variant, an extremely difficult timing challenge requiring 18 360Hz frame perfect jumps followed by blind orb timings, was placed above VSC on the Challenge List. The Third Variant was later removed from the list due to being verified illegitimately, although unintentional.
• The level took Yossarian 154,153 attempts to verify, and he fluked it from 48%.
• The current record for the least attempts spent beating the level belongs to Denni, with 56,097 attempts.
• Diamond was the first victor of the level, taking 197,384 attempts.
• Nev has beaten the level six times (including different versions).
• Bo's best record before hacking the level was 65%.
• Bo's hacked verification video on Woom's channel had an intro sequence that included the phrase 'After A Mental Breakdown' and became a meme. The community infamously used it as an exaggerated reaction involving the level's extreme difficulty.
