Waterfall is a 2.1/2.2 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level created and published by the members of Cherry Team, and verified by LordVadercraft on 11 October 2024. It is a high-octane icy-themed level, featuring an intense song and realistic art. It was initially intended to be a sequel to Firework before becoming a standalone level. Its art-based decoration style has received positive feedback from the player base. However, many criticise its gameplay, especially the first section, where the very first clicks are considered incredibly difficult compared to the rest of the level. The gameplay itself features many highly difficult timings and narrow passages across almost all game-modes, and the decoration adds to the difficulty with constant flickering and flashing.

History
2021
The first mention of the level dates back to 12 September, when Vernam, leader of Cherry Team, uploaded a layout of the level to his second YouTube channel, stating in the description that 'a lot will be changed, A LOT.' The title of the video indicated that Waterfall was a sequel to another Extreme Demon previously created by Cherry Team, Firework.

2022
On 10 April, fnm04 uploaded the first preview of the level to his YouTube channel. Later, many famous showcasers would upload their own showcases of the level, such as Exen, who did so on 18 May. On 4 October, he uploaded his updated part of Waterfall.

2023
On 20 January, Ascended released a video called 'WHERE IS WATERFALL NOW?', where he talked about the state of the project. Throughout the winter and spring, official and unofficial previews of the level were being released. On 26 May, Vernam published Shorts on his channel, in which he advertised his own page, Boosty, as well as a video about Waterfall, stating that kivvvi and bli would join the project. Soon, LordVadercraft was set to be the level's verifier. On 1 November, Bli posted his part in Waterfall, using only 8,000 objects, which was exceedingly little for such high-quality work.

2024
On 9 August, Vernam, Exen, and other members of the Cherry Team released showcases of the fully completed level on their YouTube channels. After that, Vernam stated that the level did not meet his expectations. On 3 September, Eiriley released a video in which he criticised Vernam's mistakes, sparking a new meme in the Russian community with Vernam's reaction to the video. Vernam wanted to correct all the mistakes he made and announced a sequel to Waterfall. On 31 December, he released full gameplay of the sequel to Waterfall on his second channel, built for the second half of the track - Cascade.

Verification
On 29 June 2024, LordVadercraft uploaded his first verification progress on the level, achieving a run of 59-100%, and added that by that time he had already spent around 27,000 attempts. On 31 July, another upload happened, with him doing a 32-65% run. Three days later, he improved his run to 32-89%. On 6 August, LordVadercraft got 27%, commenting that he has taken around 30,000 attempts, and that he does not use CBF (Click Between Frames). Three days later, he got a new record of 45%, on 31 August, a 32-93% run, on 10 September, a run of 32-100%, and two weeks later he got a new 56% record. On 1 October, he got another record of 72%, on 2 October, 85%, four days later, he got to 90%, and on 7 October, he got a new best of 92%. On 11 October, LordVadercraft verified Waterfall. This achievement cost him 68,703 attempts, a 71-100% run 23 times, a 59-100% run 30 times, and a 45-100% run 21 times, 32 deaths past 70%, and three months of playtime.

Description
*0-7%: Waterfall begins with an extremely difficult ship section where the player must fly around structures using portals, carefully interacting with coming orbs.
*7-18%: The player turns into a cube and clicks on orbs, then into a ship accompanied by sharp sounds in the music, flying around structures with spikes and other obstacles. The player turns into a cube and makes calculated clicks on the orbs, after which they fly up and become a ship, hitting several more orbs.
*18-32%: The player is now a robot and goes through a perfectly music-synchronised segment, using portals and orbs. The player briefly becomes a ship, makes a few inputs, then holds the dash orbs to become a robot again, overcoming another section of spheres. After that, they again become a ship and carefully fly to the next part along narrow corridors.
*32-46%: The player becomes a cube, makes a few clicks and turns into a ship, and has to fly around gigantic rocky structures, also interacting with orbs. The player becomes a robot, clicks some orbs, and holds down on the dash portal, returning to the ship fragment. The player becomes a ball, makes a few inputs, becomes a UFO, has to make a few very precise clicks, then becomes a cube and holds the dash orb, leading to the drop.
*46-60%: The drop begins. First, the player, periodically turning into a cube and then into a spider, has to make calculated, excruciating clicks to the music, using orbs and portals. The second half of this part consists of four wave stages, each containing three precise clicks and interrupted by a click on the cube.
*60-71%:
*71-84%: The player enters a very fast and dynamic part where they make many precise clicks on orbs, periodically turning into a cube, then into a ball, interacting with structures. The player must avoid some false orbs that litter this section. The decoration in this segment is considered among the best (if not the best) in the entire level.
*84-95%: The player turns into a cube, then makes numerous clicks on the orbs, using portals, flying around the structures, periodically turning into a wave, then a UFO, and then back into a cube. The second half of this part is a narrow ship corridor filled with false orbs. However, the 'false' orbs look frozen, which allows the player to easily distinguish them from the ones that need to be interacted with, so they must make several clicks on the orbs, and then fly along a straight corridor of spikes to the end of the level.
*95-100%: Very high quality final art depicting a frozen girl and a destroyed city in a frame decorated with branches of some plant.
