Xanii (formerly ItzBorg) is a skilled Portuguese/American player and YouTube content creator in Geometry Dash. He is best known for verifying Sonic Wave Infinity, WOODKID and Shibui. He beat Zodiac on November 29, 2021, Kenos on December 14, 2021, Tartarus on November 28, 2022 and LIMBO on December 18, 2022, which is his current hardest demon. His current content consists of commentary-style videos aswell as getting world records and verifying extreme demons.

History

Xanii started his YouTube channel on June 22 2014 uploading ROBLOX content under the name TheVideoGamer133. He then uploaded a Geometry Dash video about a texture pack. After this video saw more success than his earlier videos, he continued uploading more Geometry Dash-related content, starting his career within the game.

In February 2019, would begin uploading various Extreme Demon completions beginning with ICE Carbon Diablo X, and Cataclysm before taking a break from them until May when he would beat Quest For Perfection, The Ultimate Phase, Red World Rebirth, Deception Dive, Belloq and Sakupen Hell.

In September 2019, he would briefly return to Minecraft content before returning with his Cosmic Cyclone verification gaining significant attention and increasing his views over his next completions and verifications.

He would verify multiple levels in the next couple of months further gaining popularity. These verifications include: Hatred Redux, Demon Nostalgists (a buffed version of Dear Nostalgists), Demon Lord and Glacial Reflections.

He uploaded various Demon completions, such as Bloodlust, Volume, Bloodbath, aftermath, Polish Alphabet, Glide, INNARDS, End Of The Night, 1929, -45 (first victor), Pathos IV, Cocco Bello, Skrrah, 8o X, Edge of the Blade (first victor), Brimtanic Paradise (first victor) and many more.

In 2020, Xanii started using XBot to showcase levels. The levels were usually extreme demons or impossible levels. It would begin with Zodiac and would continue throughout the year includeding notable levels such as Buffbath, Unnerfed INNARDS, Element 111 Rg, Silent Circles, Misanthrope, MINUSclub and Unnerfed Silent Clubstep.

On Nov 19 2020, Xanii would first begin uploading his verification progress on Sonic Wave Infinity. He would continue making steady progress on the level, streaming it every single day until he took a two-month break due to burnout from constantly playing the level.

During this break, Xanii would beat multiple extreme demons such as Mujigae, Catalyze, Macabre, Artificial Ascent, Wasureta, Infernal Abyss, Blade of Justice, Hyper Paracosm, Hyper Paradox and Aftercatabath.

His break would end in early May 2021 when he returned a video of 63% on Sonic Wave Infinity. He would continue uploading new best videos every week and after a fail in the last percent of gameplay, Xanii would verify Sonic Wave Infinity on 30 May 2021. It was placed at #3 on the Demonlist on June 29, 2021, placed below The Golden and Tartarus; both levels however would eventually end up below Sonic Wave Infinity.

After verifying Sonic Wave Infinity, Xanii would upload a Minecraft video on the 5th of July in which he would announce his partial retirement with Geometry Dash content as he had "no more ... to do" and that he had "lost interest completely". After this, he would upload only Minecraft content ending on August 30th with the video "I GOT YOUTUBE RANK! (Hypixel)" in which afterwards he would return almost exclusively to Geometry Dash content.

After his return, he would go on to beat Zodiac and Kenos aswell as the Sonic Wave remakes Play Hard and being the first victor of the Old-Top-1 SonicBath by Sunix.

On February 3 2022, Zynvire announced that Xanii was the new verifier of Silent Circles. Xanii initially dropped the level, over the difficulty of the level, however, on April 21, 2022, the verification was handed back to Xanii by Zynvire in an extremely nerfed state. Xanii verified the level in its nerfed state on April 25, 2022.

Xanii would once again return to Sonic Wave when he beat it twice in a row and three times in a row in the same week.

Xanii would beat Tartarus on November 28th after 2 deaths at 97% and around 21,000 attempts and after he would beat his current hardest LIMBO after a fail at 92% and 24,000 attempts. Xanii would go on verifying levels again with Sakupen Trials, very rusty pipeline, Cake By The Ocean aswell as getting world record on Battle Of The Shades (Phase 3) (42-100) and Element 111 RG (86%). It was around this time that Xanii started producing more commentary-style geometry dash videos.

Controversies

Sonic Wave Infinity rating

After he verified Sonic Wave Infinity on May 30, 2021, Xanii uploaded the level to his account the next day. The APTeam (who built the level) had previously stated that they wanted the level to go on their account. Several people sided with the APTeam as they believed that the creator of the level had the right to choose who uploaded the level to which account. Some people sided with Xanii, believing that Xanii had the right to upload the level on his account as he had "worked so hard on verifying it."Template:Cite This is also what Xanii himself believed, as supported by his comments stating he believed that he has the right to upload the level himself because of verifying it.Template:Cite

Xanii uploaded the level the day after verifying it. However, he removed it the next day due to the backlash Zimnyte had received and contacted an elder moderator to delete the level, ending the drama for the foreseeable future. The level was then uploaded on the APTeam's account (named APTeamOfficial in-game) and rated by RobTop. However, players discovered a secret trigger at the last memory cube (68-72%) located in the wrong path that would crash the player's game if they came into contact with its hitbox. Xanii added this as a joke months before verifying and forgot about it. Nevertheless, the level was quickly unrated. RobTop left the following comment:

"Unrated for intentional buggy trigger placement. Not cool man."

Viprin also stated on Twitter regarding the crash trigger, saying:

"Sonic Wave Infinity has been unrated because of a trigger that crashes your game if you go the wrong way. This is unacceptable."

Zimnyte, the host of APTeam, responded on Twitter that he had forgotten about the trigger and would remove it once he got back home, which he did, and fixed several different 60Hz bugs.Template:Cite The level was then re-rated.

Silent Circles verification

On February 2, 2022, Zynvire, the host of Silent Circles, decided to kick the previous verifier Dolphy after Dolphy had spent nearly two years and over 145,000 attempts on the level, as he only had 70% and Zynvire wanted the level out faster. Zynvire then gave the level to Xanii. Unfortunately, neither Zynvire nor Dolphy rightly explained the situation to their respective communities, which caused anger in each community. Additionally, Xanii's version was more difficult than Dolphy's version. This instance would cause further controversy, with Xanii wanting to nerf the level to make it more enjoyable and Zynvire wanting the level to remain as Top 1-difficulty. Xanii dropped Silent Circles and explained the situation in a Twitlonger posted on February 20. The verification passed to Cursed. Later, on April 21, 2022, the verification was handed back to Xanii by Zynvire in an extremely nerfed state, attempting to make the level more enjoyable and less inconsistent. On April 23, 2022, Xanii verified the level in its nerfed state.
