Codependence is a 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level by the members of TCTeam, initially verified by Kapinapi and ViralDl on 4 July 2020 and verified solo by Pukklez on 4 June 2023. It is a 2-player level in which each icon completes the equivalent of an Insane Demon to an Extreme Demon. Codependence was placed at #8 on the Demonlist, and is currently considered the most difficult rated 2-player level in the game.

History
With TCTeam's permission, Kapinapi and ViralDL applied some nerfs before the level's verification to make it more playable.

Many people initially thought the level was impossible to beat by a single player. In April 2022, a player named Pukklez began to attempt a solo verification of Codependence. On 4 June 2023, almost three years after Codependence's initial verification, the level was verified solo by Pukklez after 165,000 attempts. Pukklez had used the W and up arrow keys for 2-player control, as mentioned earlier.

Description
<u>Pre-duals</u>
*0-8%: (Konsi): Codependence begins with a sync-based cube section at half-speed featuring simple orb timings (also with toggle orbs) and sudden size changes after a short ball section at normal speed (later at double-speed). The player transitions into a sync-based mini-robot at triple-speed, followed by a wave spam section at quadruple-speed, before being thrown into the infamous duals. The wave spam also features the text message 'Konsi', referencing the creator of this part.

Trivia
*Codepedence was placed at #8 on the Demonlist on 15 August 2023, above Firework and below Sakupen Circles.
**This addition pushed no jokes into the Extended List and Silentium Clavas into the Legacy List.
*According to Kapinapi, the top half (player 1) portion is more difficult than the bottom half (player 2).
*Codependence, alongside Horros and Sides Of My Mind, was moved to the Legacy List on 15 February 2024 due to the temporary 2-player level guideline changes.
**This change was reverted a day later, putting all of them back on the list.
*Codependence has become a running joke among Zoink's fans due to him famously avoiding playing the level.
**Zoink is most likely waiting for the level to fall off the Mainlist of the Demonlist in order to complete its entirety for the second time.
*The placement of Based After Based on 1 March 2026 pushed Codependence out of the Top 50 of the Demonlist.
