The first mention of the level dates back to 19 April, around the time Nekon began working on his new project, Jigsaw, and released the level's first trailer, hinting at its tentative theme: the Saw horror film franchise.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p12gL63VIoE</ref> Just six days later, on 25 April, he revealed the full layout of the level.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dbMO11kXc8</ref> Nekon informed that Gokill would be the one to verify the level once fully decorated. Nekon decided to decorate one section of the level himself, which he showed on his channel on 20 June,<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmH0k4eTRp8</ref> but BlasterRobotz's part would later replace it.
