It is widely considered one of the most influential Easy Demons in the game's history. Though formerly considered incredibly difficult at the time due to the novelty of the wave game-mode, it is currently considered a high-end Easy Demon to most new players. A remake, DeCodeX, was created by Rek3dge and released in Update 2.0. ==Description== *0-10%: DeCode begins with a single-speed cube section containing relatively easy timings. *10-24%: Next, the level transitions into a double-speed ship segment that requires decent straight-flying skills. It then switches to an easy upside-down UFO segment. The player then briefly switches back into a cube with two jumps and goes through some gravity portals. *24-36%: This starts up a double-speed wave segment, which can prove difficult for players. *36-48%: Afterwards, the level transitions into a double-speed ball segment with fairly difficult timings and fake lines. At the end of the section, the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 flash up. *48-76%: The song drops, and the player transitions into a triple-speed cube section featuring many moderately tricky timings and fakes. The level then transitions into a UFO segment with frequent gravity changes. This section is difficult because it requires many well-timed clicks. After this, the player switches back into a cube, which is much easier than the previous sections. *76-84%: Afterwards, the player transitions into the infamous slow yet tight wave segment, containing many spikes attached to the top and bottom of the diagonal wavy corridor. *84-91%: The player then switches into a half-speed ship segment with gravity changes. *91-100%: The last section involves a single-speed mini-cube with lots of easy-to-time jumps scattered throughout two 'block mazes.' Finally, the level ends with Rek3dge's name. ==Gameplay== b2T1mjym2EM ==Trivia== *DeCode cannot be copied. Rek3dge later uploaded a copyable version of the level (8175666). *DeCode was ranked #20 in GDToday's '100 Greatest Levels of All Time' list. *DeCode was one of the levels TheMuteTroll used to expose Geometry Dash hackers like Noobas in his famous video. **The quote 'at 100% speed. Does this look possible to you?' captioned in the video became a meme. *Anaban hacked DeCode and made it a free Demon. It was later reverted. *Flukester, a relatively unknown creator with some rated levels, made a remake of DeCode called FinalCode in Update 2.1, and it became the 24th Weekly Demon. It is mostly easier than DeCode, but the iconic slow wave has frequent speed changes, making it harder than DeCode's original slow wave. *In 2019, a player named Noice on the Geometry Dash Forums jokingly declared 11 March to be 'International DeCode Day.' This event caught on in the community, with players now celebrating the occasion yearly. **RobTop has seemingly acknowledged the existence of DeCode Day, as he made DeCode the Weekly Demon on 11 March 2021. *spaceuk beat DeCode as his first Demon, before Windy Landscape, Leyak, and Wasureta. *Russian Geometry Dash YouTuber DeCody got the idea for his nickname from DeCode, using a portmanteau of the level's name and iconic creator Cody. ==References== <references />
