'''Waterfall''' is a [[Update 2.1|2.1]]/[[Update 2.2|2.2]] Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level created and published by the members of Cherry Team, and verified by LordVadercraft on 11 October 2024.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKuVdqneG9Y</ref> It is a high-octane icy-themed level, featuring an intense song and realistic art. It was initially intended to be a sequel to [[Firework]] before becoming a standalone level. Its art-based decoration style has received positive feedback from the player base. However, many criticise its gameplay, especially the first section, where the very first clicks are considered incredibly difficult compared to the rest of the level. The gameplay itself features many highly difficult timings and narrow passages across almost all game-modes, and the decoration adds to the difficulty with constant flickering and flashing.

===2021===
The first mention of the level dates back to 12 September, when Vernam, leader of Cherry Team, uploaded a layout of the level to his second YouTube channel, stating in the description that 'a lot will be changed, A LOT.' The title of the video indicated that Waterfall was a sequel to another Extreme Demon previously created by Cherry Team, Firework.

===2022===

On 20 January, Ascended released a video called 'WHERE IS WATERFALL NOW?', where he talked about the state of the project.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZNlUyXw2GA</ref> Throughout the winter and spring, official and unofficial previews of the level were being released. On 26 May, Vernam published Shorts on his channel, in which he advertised his own page, Boosty, as well as a video about Waterfall, stating that kivvvi and bli would join the project.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kvOwd2-AiAI</ref> Soon, LordVadercraft was set to be the level's verifier. On 9 August, Vernam, [[Exen]], and other members of the Cherry Team released showcases of the fully completed level on their YouTube channels.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFwOxCruxfw</ref><ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHcNbhI-siE</ref> After that, Vernam stated that the level did not meet his expectations. On 3 September, Eiriley released a video in which he criticised Vernam's mistakes, sparking a new meme in the Russian community with Vernam's reaction to the video.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHatfrnVYBw</ref> Vernam wanted to correct all the mistakes he made and announced a sequel to Waterfall. On 31 December, he released full gameplay of the sequel to Waterfall on his second channel, built for the second half of the track - Cascade.
