PP is a 2.1 Easy Demon level by AmorAltra, published on 1 April 2020 and serving as an April Fools' joke.

Gameplay
History
The level's theme and story is about a guy needing to go to the bathroom while on a road trip.
During a voice chat in Boom Kitty's Discord server (the Boom Box), one of AmorAltra's friends 'embarrassed' him by prodding Boom Kitty to see Amor's artworks. Though Amor was annoyed at the prospect of his first impression leaving a negative impression, Boom Kitty asked to see more of his work. After a few hours of discussion, Boom Kitty commissioned Amor to create an illustrated album cover for his upcoming April Fools' single, Peepee Song. Amor proposed creating a Geometry Dash level to accompany the release of the song, to which Boom Kitty agreed.

*Before the level starts: Text appears on a black background saying "ur pp smol" with AmorAltra's icon above it.
Description
*0-4%: The first few seconds of the level showcases a title screen acting as the opening to the level. The player can enable and disable the lyrics in the level while playing that part.
PP follows a fictional version of Boom Kitty who needs to use the restroom on a road trip.
*4-14%: Soon after the title screen, the gameplay starts as the cube at double-speed. The game-mode will change from cube to ship and back a few times. The background depicts a pickup truck driving over rough terrain. This part concludes with a countdown that syncs with the music.
*0-4%: The first attempt of PP depicts a 3D artwork of AmorAltra's cube with accompanying text reading 'ur pp smol'. When the level begins, a brief cutscene plays; during the cutscene, any clicks will toggle the song's text lyrics on or off. The scene begins with an orange sky and the phrase 'AMORALTRA & BOOMKITTY PRESENTS' before sliding down. A car appears with Boom Kitty's fictionalised parents in the front seats, while Boom Kitty himself sits in the back and takes a drink from a water bottle as the letters 'PP' slide in from opposite sides of the car. Just before the scene ends, Boom Kitty's eyes constrict, and an exclamation mark appears to his right.
*14-23%: This is where the level begins to take off. The gameplay is quite casual, with the cube at normal-speed. The speed sometimes changes throughout the part, but they are not fast speed changes. Halfway through, the player becomes a robot and then turns back into a cube. The decoration contains comedic art. There are a lot of speed limit signs that say "69 MPP", a lot of birds and cats (one even has a knife), and even some text at the very bottom of the gameplay that says, "MDK SUX". When the player enables lyrics, the lyrics will appear at the bottom of the screen with a head resembling Boom Kitty singing the lyrics himself. (Half of the level will have this if the player has enabled lyrics). The end of this part consists of platforms on clouds leading the player to the 'Pee Pee Shower'.
*4-14.75%: The first gameplay section alternates between cube and ship gameplay at double speed, frequently inverting the player's gravity and size. Aside from yellow-and-black stripe borders on the structures, the primary sources of decoration are black and yellow gears adorned with faces resembling the ':3' emoticon, circular 'S' signs with no clear meaning, and polygonal road signs with 'P' or an exclamation mark printed on them (denoting parking spaces or hazards, respectively). In the background, a pick-up truck (presumably the vehicle from the previous cutscene) drives over off-road terrain. At 13.25%, the background cuts to black and the player must perform three diminished triple-spike jumps (each involving two small spikes and one standard spike) to transition to the next section. The jumps are accompanied by a countdown from three as the truck drives off-screen.
*23-29%: This part is entirely in the ball game-mode. It is quite casual that the player needs to avoid the spikes along the section. In the background, there is a showerhead representing the 'PeePee Shower'. There is also a bathtub, some toothbrushes, as well as toothpaste. This section ends with a long cube-dashing transition.
*14.75-23.5%: The scene shifts to a blue city street, with structures made of stone and brick, featuring prevalent cracks. Gameplay is mainly cube-based with some size changes, though the player changes to a robot for the third bar of the verse. The speed returns to normal pace, aside from a double-speed dash orb near the beginning of the section. At 21.75%, the player encounters a series of green and blue orbs, using them to land on a series of platforms within clouds as they return to double-speed.
*29-37%: This part's decoration is themed around a forest. The gameplay consists of a mini cube followed by a brief mini UFO, then the player must jump to transition into a spider that later becomes mini. During the mini spider part, AmorAltra's icons can be seen around, chilling. The player then turns into a normal sized cube and must hold to jump onto platforms that lead into a portal that takes them to the 'PeePee Castle'.
*23.5-29% (PeePee Shower): Coinciding with the lyrics 'PEE PEE SHOWER!!' that always appear on screen, this section is a yellow bathroom-themed ball sequence. Arrows move in opposing vertical lines in the background, with a showerhead spraying yellow liquid. In the foreground, numerous toiletries, several mirrors, and an upside-down bathtub are also present.
*38-48%: The PeePee Castle part starts with a normal sized wave that becomes mini mid-way. A very brief auto cube transitions the player into a UFO part followed by a ship part, where Mr. Havok from Magma Bound appears and "kills" the player.
*29-38%: After a vertical barn-door wipe, the player reappears in a campsite and reverts to normal speed. The first half consists of cube gameplay atop grass structures and platforms. After a brief UFO transition, the player enters the spider-based second half of the forest, which prominently features wood structures and a campsite. Finally, at 36.5%, the player changes into a cube at double speed and must hold to jump between three trees and hit a dash orb that points into a pixelated scene; the scene is pictured inside a bee-shaped portal. The screen fades to black as the phrases 'World 1-1' and 'PeePee Castle' appear. The word 'Loading...' also appears above, blinking.
*49-56%: This part's decoration resembles a grocery store, with normal sized cube gameplay and a brief ship part in between.
*38-47% (PeePee Castle): In this section, the player is inside a pixelated video game with five hearts at the bottom, serving as HP. The first half of the 'level' takes place inside a castle dungeon with acidic hazards and green fires serving as spikes, tasking the player to navigate through the first half as a wave. Though the player will shrink briefly, the gameplay is mitigated by D-blocks that allow them to slide on flat surfaces. At 43.25%, the player enters a UFO portal and emerges inside an inner area of the castle surrounded by greenery and castle ramparts. The player is heavily incentivised to follow the section's frame-flipping click indicators.
*57-59%: This part is an auto cube, leading to the 'PeePee Drop'. The singing head is seen in the background with an anxious expression before the text 'PEEPEE DROP!' appears.
*47-48.5%: At the end of the 'level', the player becomes a ship and must fly through spiked columns. In the background, Mr. Havok, a character from Magma Bound, appears and taunts the player, saying 'Hello! i escaped. now you must die!' He laughs four times, taking away one of the player's hearts each time (two on the second laugh). This prompts a Game Over screen with the options 'Retry' and 'Get good lol'; however, the screen cannot be interacted with until the next section begins.
*60-72%: The gameplay speeds up as the player must pass through several obstacles while changing into different gamemodes. The background shows a toilet shaking to the beat of the song, and the decoration here features pixelated toilets and toilet paper.
*48.5-57.5%: The Game Over screen cuts away as the player exits the castle through another bee-shaped portal, appearing in a convenience store. The first half tasks the player with traversing platinum shelf structures in an aisle selling plumbing equipment, while the second half features chequered pearl structures and a line of stick-figure silhouettes standing in line to use a restroom labelled 'PP ROOM'. This section is entirely composed of cube gameplay at normal speed, except for a short segue featuring a ship section on a moving shelf and a brief period in double-speed when reverting to a cube. When the player reaches a ledge at 56%, it carries the player upward, passing four soap dispensers (two each in green and deep blue) as the background fades to black. Simultaneously, the lyrics 'LOSING CONTROL', which appear regardless of the player's choice at the start, fade in letter by letter; as the player passes the 'G', they accelerate to triple speed.
*73-82%: The gameplay slows down as the player must pass through a cube section, followed by a spider and another cube section.
*57.5-60.25% (PeePee Drop): A short transition takes place, containing three jump pads and five orbs, the latter synced with drum beats within the music. The background features an orange-and-black circular-striped design centred on Boom Kitty's distressed face. The player then hits a normal-speed portal as the screen cuts to black. The words 'PEE PEE DROP!' then appear, and the player hits a magenta pad and yellow orb, accelerating to double and triple speed before landing in a teleportation portal portrayed as a pixelated toilet seat (henceforth referred to as a 'toilet teleporter').
*83-95%: The gameplay speeds up again as the player must avoid spikes and falling down the platforms as a cube before turning into a robot, followed by a brief ship part, then a cube where the player must jump onto pink pads, hit 3 green orbs and jump over 4 triple spikes before the background changes to a parking lot, then a grocery store, then a bathroom.
*60.25-73%: The player emerges from the toilet teleporter, landing in a section containing pink pipe structures, a yellow circular-striped design, and a large toilet artwork bobbing left and right. The gameplay rapidly switches among the first four game-modes (cube, ship, ball, and UFO), occasionally inverting the player's gravity and size. As the section runs at triple speed, the player is strongly incentivised to follow the click indicators to avoid spikes and bubbles. Completing the section and landing in a second toilet teleporter at the end takes the player to the next section.
*96-100%: The end-screen of the level shows for a few seconds before the level ends.
*73-83%: After exiting the second toilet teleporter, the player lands in a Pertamax gas station at double speed. The scenery predominantly uses red, white, and black colours. Gameplay changes are less frequent than in the previous section; the player starts as a cube, then passes through spider, cube, and ball portals. Finally, at 81%, the player enters a ship portal and must navigate through a somewhat tight corridor of car wheels. Once achieved, they revert to a cube at normal speed; in the background, a sign rises, reading 'REST ROOM' and '1 MILES →'.
*83-93.5%: While in front of the sign's centre, the player hits a double-speed portal below a cloud, beginning the final gameplay section: a street section on a hazardous road with numerous traffic cones and sections blocked off with yellow police tape. The truck from the first gameplay section returns as the player hits a triple-speed portal, setting the stage for a final cube sequence with a short robot sequence at 87% and a forgiving straight-fly at 89.5%. As the player reaches a second sign reading 'REST ROOM' and 'THIS WAY! →', they must perform four diminished triple-spike jumps, nearly mirroring the countdown from the first gameplay sequence. After the final jump, the truck speeds off-screen a second time.
*93.5-100% (Ending): With no more gameplay remaining in the level, the scene shifts to a parking lot (including 'P' signs), the inside of the convenience store, and finally the men's restroom. The second cubicle (to the left) in the restroom is ajar; when the player's cube reaches it at 96%, the scene cuts to Boom Kitty standing, facing the wall, as he uses the toilet. The names of the level, Amor, and Boom Kitty appear on the first cubicle, while a list of nine players is labelled as 'Special Thanks' on the third cubicle. Boom Kitty's logo is also pictured on the back of his sweater.

User coins
User coins
*The first coin is located at 36%. It is collected automatically if the player obtains the key.
PP contains three user coins.
**The key to the first coin is located at 19% in the mini-cube section. To collect it, the player must not hit the last yellow orb. Instead, they must fall and turn into a spider. Afterward, they must dodge some spikes and grab the key.
*The first coin is located within a chest at 36%. To unlock the chest, the player must collect a pixel key at 19% in the mini-cube section. It is hidden behind an invisible wall marked with a question mark; to reach it, the player must skip the yellow orb at 18.25% after hitting two blue orbs. After a single-spike jump, the player will enter a hidden spider section with tight timings, marked with arrows to make the route easier. Once the key is collected, the player enters a robot portal, teleporting back to the main route at 20%; they must be mindful of a spike immediately in front of a size portal, as there is minimal time to jump over it. The gameplay remains normal until the chest opens at 36%, rewarding the player with the coin. It is unskippable if the key is collected.
*The second coin is located at 55%. To collect it, the player needs to catch the timing, jump over three spikes, then click on the blue orb. The player will fly up, where they will have to jump over spikes and blocks and then collect a coin and fall.
*The second coin is located at 55%, inside the convenience store section. To collect it, the player needs to skip a black orb at 53.5%, jump over a triple-spike, then click on a blue orb that appears from behind a male restroom sign. The player will fly up, where they must jump over spikes and blocks. The path ends at 55.25%, where the coin is. When the player collects the coin, they must fall off its platform, then hold a pair of blind, chained jumps over two double-spikes.
*The third and final coin is located at 89% in the robot segment. If the player hits a cloud, they will fly up and land on the clouds above. From there, they must jump over several spikes and click on three orbs, after which the player will fall and collect a coin.
*The third and final coin is located at 89.75%. First, the player must hit the cloud in front of the sign at 83% (the sign that reads 'REST ROOM 1 MILES →'). Doing so removes the second green orb before the robot portal at 86.75%, forcing the player to fly up and land on the clouds above. From there, they must carefully jump over several spikes and click on three orbs, after which the player will fall and collect the coin.
**The key to the third coin is located at 83% inside the cloud. The player must correctly calculate the jump and fly into the cloud to grab it.

*The level is free to copy.
*PP was the first of two April Fools' levels officially created in partnership with Boom Kitty. Five years later, GD GANGSTER RAP was released, this time as an Event Level.
*The level contains 131,420 objects.
*PP also appears in the music video for Boom Kitty's Peepee Song; specifically, the line 'I'd rather have stayed home and played games all day' depicts Boom Kitty playing PP and collecting the first coin.
*The level is 2m 22s in length.
*The lyric shown at 53% is incorrect; it says 'bathrooms aren't full' instead of the correct words, 'bathroom's not full'.
*PP was Weekly Demon from March 7th to 14th, 2021.
*It is possible to weave between the ceiling and moving rhombus at 38.75%; however, this carries no benefit.
**This was interrupted by DeCode being the weekly on March 11th.

*Above the gas station section, the words 'Pertamax gan' are written in the editor; this roughly translates as 'First [comment], bro!'
*Twitter user Safe is also referenced in the gas station section with a sign bearing his name.
*The signs in the final section contain many references:
**84.25%: 'PP Street' references the level as a whole, and 'Alkali Way' references level creator Alkali.
**86%: 'Mini Park' references MiniShoey, and 'BMP Mall' references level creator BlowMyPooh.
**88.5%: 'The Fault' references level creator and former moderator Fault, and 'Ardant Road' references level creator Ardant, whom Amor was good friends with before 2021.
**90.5%: 'Sley Yard' references level creator SleyGD, and 'Jonathan berak' references JonathanGD.
***Jonathan's text also contains an arrow pointing to slightly hidden text reading 'tak cebok'. In Indonesian, 'Jonathan berak tak cebok' roughly translates as 'Jonathan pooped and didn't wipe'.

PP is a 2.1 Easy Demon level by AmorAltra, published on 1 April 2020 and serving as an April Fools' joke.

History

[edit | edit source]

During a voice chat in Boom Kitty's Discord server (the Boom Box), one of AmorAltra's friends 'embarrassed' him by prodding Boom Kitty to see Amor's artworks. Though Amor was annoyed at the prospect of his first impression leaving a negative impression, Boom Kitty asked to see more of his work. After a few hours of discussion, Boom Kitty commissioned Amor to create an illustrated album cover for his upcoming April Fools' single, Peepee Song. Amor proposed creating a Geometry Dash level to accompany the release of the song, to which Boom Kitty agreed.[1]

Description

[edit | edit source]

PP follows a fictional version of Boom Kitty who needs to use the restroom on a road trip.

  • 0-4%: The first attempt of PP depicts a 3D artwork of AmorAltra's cube with accompanying text reading 'ur pp smol'.
  • 4-14.75%: The first gameplay section alternates between cube and ship gameplay at double speed, frequently inverting the player's gravity and size.
  • 14.75-23.5%: The scene shifts to a blue city street, with structures made of stone and brick, featuring prevalent cracks.
  • 23.5-29% (PeePee Shower): Coinciding with the lyrics 'PEE PEE SHOWER!!' that always appear on screen, this section is a yellow bathroom-themed ball sequence. Arrows move in opposing vertical lines in the background, with a showerhead spraying yellow liquid. In the foreground, numerous toiletries, several mirrors, and an upside-down bathtub are also present.
  • 29-38%: After a vertical barn-door wipe, the player reappears in a campsite and reverts to normal speed.
  • 38-47% (PeePee Castle): In this section, the player is inside a pixelated video game with five hearts at the bottom, serving as HP.
  • 47-48.5%: At the end of the 'level', the player becomes a ship and must fly through spiked columns.
  • 48.5-57.5%: The Game Over screen cuts away as the player exits the castle through another bee-shaped portal, appearing in a convenience store.
  • 57.5-60.25% (PeePee Drop): A short transition takes place, containing three jump pads and five orbs, the latter synced with drum beats within the music.
  • 60.25-73%: The player emerges from the toilet teleporter, landing in a section containing pink pipe structures, a yellow circular-striped design, and a large toilet artwork bobbing left and right.
  • 73-83%: After exiting the second toilet teleporter, the player lands in a Pertamax gas station at double speed.
  • 83-93.5%: While in front of the sign's centre, the player hits a double-speed portal below a cloud, beginning the final gameplay section: a street section on a hazardous road with numerous traffic cones and sections blocked off with yellow police tape.
  • 93.5-100% (Ending): With no more gameplay remaining in the level, the scene shifts to a parking lot (including 'P' signs), the inside of the convenience store, and finally the men's restroom.

User coins

[edit | edit source]

PP contains three user coins.

  • The first coin is located within a chest at 36%.
  • The second coin is located at 55%, inside the convenience store section.
  • The third and final coin is located at 89.75%.

Trivia

[edit | edit source]
  • PP was the first of two April Fools' levels officially created in partnership with Boom Kitty. Five years later, GD GANGSTER RAP was released, this time as an Event Level.
  • PP also appears in the music video for Boom Kitty's Peepee Song; specifically, the line 'I'd rather have stayed home and played games all day' depicts Boom Kitty playing PP and collecting the first coin.
  • The lyric shown at 53% is incorrect; it says 'bathrooms aren't full' instead of the correct words, 'bathroom's not full'.
  • It is possible to weave between the ceiling and moving rhombus at 38.75%; however, this carries no benefit.

Easter eggs

Below is a non-exhaustive list of Easter eggs hidden in PP. The majority of them are sourced from a MiniShoey video, which Amor has confirmed is valid.[2] This list excludes references previously listed in the Description section of this page.
  • If lyrics are enabled, they are accompanied by a singing Boom Kitty head. The head is also given an accessory the next two times it reappears: a park ranger's hat at the forest section and strands of toilet paper in his hair at the convenience store section.
    • The head also turns enraged when the words 'f**king mad' are sung, then reverts to normal.
  • The sun in the first gameplay section is the sun that appears in SleyGD's level Mbed.
    • If LDM is enabled, the sun wears black sunglasses.
  • During the blue city section, the following secrets can be found:
    • All signs have a speed limit of 69 'MPP'. It is unknown what the second 'P' stands for.
    • In the water below the pink dash orb at 16.75%, a bird is depicted pointing a knife at the player. It is the only bird (or cat) in the section with this distinction.
    • Underneath the normal-speed portal at 17%, the phrase 'MDK SUX' is inscribed on a wall. This references MDK's previous habit of frequently ignoring Boom Kitty on Twitter.
  • The toothbrushes in the PeePee Shower reference the long breaks Boom Kitty takes while brushing his teeth.
  • All seven of Amor's 2.1 icons appear during the campsite section.
  • The portals that teleport the player in and out of the PeePee Castle are modelled after the bees in B.
  • In the PeePee Castle, two pairs of Indonesian and American flags are depicted, representing the nationalities of Amor and Boom Kitty, respectively.
  • During the convenience store section, the following secrets can be found:
    • Several items depict three diagonal lines, referencing Boom Kitty's friend Ubi (formerly known as HeliXiX).
    • At 51%, a teary-eyed roll of toilet paper priced at $999 disappears from the shelf it is resting on.
    • The toilet paper, alongside the excess of webs plastered throughout the shelves, references the then-ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
    • The two other pricing signs, featured at the start of the section, display '$4.20'. This is a reference to the Internet memes regarding the number 420.
    • An apple falls and gets impaled on a spike at 52.25%, referencing Boom Kitty's friend iEat.
    • The moving shelf in which the ship sequence takes place contains two products labelled 'CUM❤︎'.
  • If the player misses the yellow orb at the PeePee Drop, the phrase 'OMG SECRET WAY !!11!1' will appear just before the player is teleported directly to a layout of the first wave part from Kenos, and then a break with the word 'ok', followed by the first ball-copter part from Tartarus. If the player passes both parts, they will crash into a wall after passing text reading 'good job!' and 'now beat it'.[3]
    • The layout was added at the suggestion of MiniShoey, who found numerous secret ways while playtesting the level for Amor.
  • At 62.5%, there is a design block with the text 'kevin says hi' next to it. It was designed by noru64 (formerly known as LXVT).
  • Above the gas station section, the words 'Pertamax gan' are written in the editor; this roughly translates as 'First [comment], bro!'
  • Twitter user Safe is also referenced in the gas station section with a sign bearing his name.
  • The signs in the final section contain many references:
    • 84.25%: 'PP Street' references the level as a whole, and 'Alkali Way' references level creator Alkali.
    • 86%: 'Mini Park' references MiniShoey, and 'BMP Mall' references level creator BlowMyPooh.
    • 88.5%: 'The Fault' references level creator and former moderator Fault, and 'Ardant Road' references level creator Ardant, whom Amor was good friends with before 2021.
    • 90.5%: 'Sley Yard' references level creator SleyGD, and 'Jonathan berak' references JonathanGD.
      • Jonathan's text also contains an arrow pointing to slightly hidden text reading 'tak cebok'. In Indonesian, 'Jonathan berak tak cebok' roughly translates as 'Jonathan pooped and didn't wipe'.

FNF references

In AmorAltra's now-discontinued Friday Night Funkin' mod, Vs. Bob and Bosip, 'PP' is referenced several times.
  • In the first and main week, a stop sign that says 'PP' on the right side of the screen can be seen, acting as a decoration.
  • The beginning of 'Game Over EX' (a secret song accessible only through losing in the EX songs) has a similar melody to the level's song at the PeePee Shower part.
  • The level's song can be heard in a part of 'Ronald McDonald Slide'.
