Promethean is an upcoming Extreme Demon collaboration by EndLevel, RealVet, River, and Connected. It is set to be verified by RicoLP. The level has an utmost hellish theme, half of which comes from the orange-red color scheme and the other half coming from the rather intense song. The level is set to be the hardest medium-lengthed level in the game, as it is set to be top 5 on the Official Geometry Dash Demonlist, and it stands at 52 seconds in length. RicoLP currently has a record of 98%, achieved on May 19, 2021.[1]
Gameplay
- 0-31% (EndLevel) - The level starts off subtle, but instantly increases to double-speed right as the player jumps over a very wide array of spikes. Instantly after hitting the double-speed portal, the player must hit a green orb which teleports the player into a blue orb. If the player continues to hold, they will jump into a black orb that proceeds to launch the player into a pink dash orb and a blue orb. After proceeding to jump from a platform, the player will enter a mini-ship portal thereafter, however first they are instantly launched into a big-sized portal by a few yellow pads. Not only do these yellow pads lead into the big-sized portal, they also lead into an anti-gravity portal, a straight fly, and a green orb to end off the straight fly. The green orb leads into a teleportation portal which then leads into a quadruple-speed upwards straight fly that lasts around 2 seconds. To end off the straight fly, the player is lead into a UFO portal where they simply have to click twice to pass through. Afterwards, the player enters a wave portal and this following section is very similar (gameplay-wise and decoration-wise) to two other EndLevel creations, those being Aerial Gleam and Aquatic Auroras. The gameplay features a bit of wave maneuvering with many anti-gravity portals and two speed changes while the decoration features a minuscule spike on each and every edge. After the wave section, the player is sent into a UFO section. It begins with two synced green orb timings that lead into a pink orb. The pink orb sends the player into a somewhat confusing array of anti-gravity portals with one green orb towards the bottom. To follow through this segment, the player must hit the first yellow portal, the green orb, the second blue portal, the third yellow portal, and the final blue portal. After timing the last jump in the array, the player must hit a green orb that leads into a pink orb. Then, the player must perform the same thing (the green orb and the pink orb array) again.
- 31-61% (RealVet) - After the UFO section lies a somewhat long ball section. It simply starts off with two clicks that lead into a black orb, and then two more clicks that lead into four more clicks. After the fourth click, the player needs to hit a green orb which projects the player in between two blocks. If the player clicks once again, they will be lead into a blue orb with leads the player into a few yellow pads. The yellow pads all lead into a quadruple-speed portal which is instantly proceeded by a cube portal. Directly after entering the cube portal, the player must time a blue orb and a green orb while a decently sized screen constantly blinks to obscure the player's vision. While it continues to blink, the player must hit a pink orb and then jump into a blue orb that leads into a green orb. Then, the player enters a 2 second automatic segment that ends off with a yellow orb, a green orb, a blue orb, and a jump. The speed proceeds to slow down to double-speed and now the player must traverse through another ship section with constant upwards/downwards flying and a few gravity portals/speed portals. Next is a brief double-speed robot section that begins with the player needing to project themselves upwards and then timing a jump to hit two orbs, one being pink and the other being green.
- 61-73% (River + Connected) - The green orb leads the player into a triple-speed mini swing-copter section with some considerably tight spaces and perfect timing. Afterwards, the player is teleported to the very bottom of the screen, they become a ship, they become double-speed, and they are launched into a triple-speed straight fly. After the triple-speed straight fly, the player must traverse through a double-speed clubstep-monster which features a brief downwards straight fly and a brief upwards straight fly. This full ship section concludes with another brief downwards straight fly.
- 73-100% (EndLevel) - As the song becomes quite a bit more eerie, the level becomes significantly darker and slower. First, the game mode switches over to a mini-cube and the player must blindly perform a jump and then proceed to get slightly projected into a green orb that leads into a blue orb. Then, after the player jumps again, they will be launched into two blue orb timings. The second blue orb timing leads into two pink orbs that leads the player into another blue orb, a jump, and a pink dash orb. After holding for a bit of time, the player must fall onto another platform and jump into a green orb and a pink dash orb. Finally, the player is lead into an extremely tight ship section which, similar to 50%, features constant upward and downward flying. However, this section features many more gravity portals. At the very end of the ship section, the speed accelerates up to triple-speed, the player becomes upside down, and the level once again accelerates to quadruple-speed. To end off the level, two structures, both featuring a "G" and a few spikes, appear.
