EventLevel.png

The Event Level is a feature of Geometry Dash, Geometry Dash World, and Geometry Dash Lite, released in Update 2.207. It is accessed from the creator menu next to the Daily Level and Weekly Demon.

Description

Event levels are special user levels selected by RobTop. They are generally selected coinciding with a newly released song, though this is not always the case. The latest Event level set appears on the Event Levels page. Unlike the Daily and Weekly levels, the Event level is not necessarily reset periodically. Upon opening the chest received for completing the level, the box containing the level will disappear, and the next Event level will appear once one is set. After a new Event level is set, you have the option to skip the previously loaded Event level by a red X that appears in the top left corner if it is uncompleted.

Rewards

Completing the Event level awards the player many types of collectibles. Stars are granted for completion of the level as usual, and mana orbs and diamonds are granted for progress in the level. The reward chest will usually contain diamonds, shards (or mana orbs if the player has 100 of the shard type being rewarded), and either a Demon Key or Gold Key, depending on the Event level itself; all Demon Event levels so far, as well as a few non-Demon levels like RUINS and Bedtime, have awarded Gold Keys.

Trivia

  • Event levels were initially planned for Update 2.2, but they were delayed. The in-game text that appeared when the Event button was clicked between Updates 2.2 and 2.206 stated that the feature would be unlocked in Update 2.21; however, the feature was released in Update 2.207.
  • Shortly before the release of Update 2.207, RobTop set the level SpookySigmaSkeletons by Woxius as the first Event level, likely as a test. Shortly after, it was changed to Dash Cave by Booglee—a platformer level. The Event level was cleared shortly thereafter, leaving the Event Level page empty on release.
  • Several codes in the Secret Room reference specific Event levels that they were added alongside.
  • Aimbotter was supposed to have an Event level, but it was scrapped.
  • The first 12 Event levels are made for the NCS x Geometry Dash album.
  • When viewing the number of Demons completed by a player on their account, Demon Event levels are not visible, unlike Weekly Demons and gauntlet Demons.
  • Though Event levels are usually pre-planned to some extent, three Event levels were impromptu choices: Skeletal Shenanigans, Brave Blue, and Mk2.
  • Mk2 is the first Event level to use 2-player.

General messages

Random lines of text appear at the bottom of the Event Level screen, replacing where the time to the next Daily/Weekly level would be. Here are the current ones:
