Cold Sweat is a 2.1 Extreme Demon collaboration level created by para, Sminx and Wulzy, published by para and verified by Kapinapi on 13 September 2020, and it was Epic-rated the same day. Cold Sweat is notable for its vibrant visual effects and unique gameplay (similar to KrmaL's), along with fake blocks to confuse the player. It is also one of the only levels on the Demonlist to contain excessive UFO spamming.

Gameplay

Note: The names listed are the decorators of the level. para created the entirety of the gameplay.

• 0-5% (para): Cold Sweat begins with a tricky mini-cube section that contains the hardest cube timings in the whole level. This part is known to be inconsistent, and in streams of the victors, they die at this part numerous times.
• 5-20% (para): Next is an unusual cube section. Most timings are not that hard, but there are extreme timings every time the level shifts with its synced speed changes.
• 20-40% (para): Afterward, there is a memory-based section. It features numerous timings and micro-clicks. It is still not easy, even after the player learns the path. This part ends with an effect in the cube and a transition into a UFO segment at 42%.
• 42-60% (Wulzy + para): This is a primarily spam-based mini-UFO part, but the difficulty does not come from the click-speed of the spam, as the click-speed is not that high. The challenge comes from the unconventional click pattern where the player must stop spamming and resume spamming at seemingly random times. One of these times is at 44%, where the player must release and start spamming again; otherwise, they will go below a slope and die.
• 61-87% (Sminx): The wave segment begins with a brief auto section as a cube before the wave. It requires a consistent click pattern and sharp reflexes to get through it. Occasionally, the player turns into a normal-sized wave and will have to do normal spamming instead of click consistency in the mini-wave. Another thing the player must do is to hold and go into a load of teleportation portals to sync up with the music. As for the decoration, each block has a very bright flash of light every four beats within the song.
• 87-100% (para): A very trippy, nerve-racking cube part immediately after the most stressful part of the level - the wave. This part is not very difficult gameplay-wise, but it is possible to crash here due to being extremely nervous at the end of the level. This part is also completely dark except for the outlines of the blocks, and some effects further reduce visibility, making the part somewhat memory-based.

• The level contains 121,521 objects.
• The level is 1m 53s in length.
• The level was initially placed at #7 on the Demonlist on 21 September 2020, above Cognition (#8) and below Renevant (#6).
  • This addition pushed Bloodlust out of the Top 10, Bausha Vortex into the Extended List, and A Bizarre Phantasm into the Legacy List.
    • Bloodlust was also epic-rated other than being a former Top 1 level.
• It is currently #2 on the Low Refresh Rate Mobile Demonlist, above Sonic Wave (#3) and below Yatagarasu (#1).
• The level was nominated for and achieved Best ExtremeDemon in the Geometry Dash 2020 Awards.
• The level was ranked #26 in GDToday's 100 Greatest Levels of All Time list.
• The entire layout of Cold Sweat was made by para, with most of the decorations created by para. Sminx and Wulzy also created some parts.
• Cold Sweat is the third hardest Epic-rated ExtremeDemon, following LIMBO and KOCMOC.
• This is the level that nSwish lost his Top 75 Demon achievement to.
• The entire level, except for a few normal-sized waves between the mini-wave section and the last 4%, is in mini.
• This is the most difficult rated level without containing any ship gameplay.
• It was formerly the hardest level to be completed as someone's first ExtremeDemon, being beaten by UFokinWotM8 on 1 June 2021, jumping from Acropolis.
  • This was dethroned by Artify8's completion of Firework on 11 January 2022, jumping from Nine Circles.
• Waiting at the credits for long enough will have the names disappear, but the word 'ass' will be left out, and an animated bunny icon will appear.
• At its release, the level was the hardest verified with a NONG (not on Newgrounds) song.
  • This position would later be topped by Fragile.
• A person named SpiderHMDI3 has made an unofficial sequel to this level level called Last Breath. para would later make it official.
• Cold Sweat, along with Violently X, The Yandere, Ragnarok, Bang Gang, Tapwreck, HURRICANE, TANTRUM, Surge of the Shield, Tenth Circle, Halberd, Nhelv and doradura are the only Epic-rated Extreme Demon levels without a song on Newgrounds.
  • In Cold Sweat's, as well as HURRICANE, Surge of the Shield, Halberd, Nhelv and doradura's case, the song was NONG intentionally by replacing the song with the proper song.
• Ironically, one of Juniper's YLYL videos included the wave part in this level as a heartbeat.
• The placement of KOSETSU on 29 September 2024 pushed Cold Sweat into the Extended List of the Demonlist.
• Tria became the first person to complete Cold Sweat on a controller on 27 October 2024.
