The 1.5 Update was an update to Geometry Dash that was released on January 30, 2014 for iOS and Android. It made several key changes to user-created levels and the fundamentals of level sharing. Robert Topala first announced the update would come on January 27, 2014, when he featured the level "Utopia" by Darnoc. After the update was made in effect, users could rate levels with demon difficulty.
