Template:Infobox Player Sohn0924 (Sohn for short, known as Hu Dark in the Korean community, and Hu Bug affectionately) was a famous South Korean level creator and exploiter in Geometry Dash, who is well-known for creating one of the most infamous level trends in Geometry Dash history called the Hell Series. The Hell Series was known for its extreme gameplay requiring memory and several difficult timings.
The player Stormfly has hosted and verified remake collaborations for many of Sohn's levels, those being The Hell World, The Hell Dignity, The Hell Origin, The Hell Field, The Hell Inferno, and The Hell Trinity - all of the mentioned being Extreme Demons. Although, The Hell Trinity is the only one that remains unrated. The Hell Zone remake was hosted and hack-verified by Cyclic, before later being verified legitimately by Stormfly. It is considered part of Stormfly's series of remakes.
Sohn0924 started as a level creator rather than a player back in early Geometry Dash (around Update 1.2) with many hard levels created, such as Hpolargeist, The Climax, and The Ability. He requested that RobTop rate them, but only The Climax was rated, and he began to go inactive for a while.
Later, Sohn began creating again, using a new account in update 1.4, releasing a level called The Hell zone on January 8, 2014. The Hell zone was a difficult level, which included a lot of difficult cube and ball timings, as well as incredibly awkward gameplay. Sohn asked RobTop to rate it on TouchArcade, but he expressed concern that it would be far too difficult for players, namely the first jump of the level. After nerfing only the first jump, Sohn again asked RobTop to rate it. Rob would later rate the level, and soon many players began to try it out.
On January 12, 2014, just four days after The Hell zone was uploaded, Sohn released The Hell World, and it was quickly rated. Unlike with The Hell zone, it is presumed that the infamous player saRy "verified" The Hell World, as the level description states, "Thanks to saRy.".[1]
Ten days later, on January 24, 2014, Sohn would release The Hell dignity, which was rated shortly thereafter.
Sohn would upload The Hell origin sometime between the release of The Hell dignity, and March 17, 2014. The level was deleted from the servers, supposedly when RobTop ran a script that deleted many levels. The level was rated when it was released.
There were going to be at least two more levels in the Hell series, being Inferno and Field, however neither was finished. The beginning of The Hell Inferno was eventually found in Fall 2016 on Sohn's old account, under the name of The Hell infeno RE. Very little gameplay from The Hell Field was ever uncovered.
Sohn was later accused of hacking to verify the four Hell levels by a player named Reflection on the Geometry World (GW) forums. On April 26, 2016, evidence was found showing Sohn had used 1.2 editor to create the levels, having rolled back his game to do so. He was quickly banned from GW, after forum members revealed that he had used an exploit possible in 1.2 to verify the levels. LunarSimg would made a post on the forums on Sohn's behalf. In the post, Sohn admitted to using a 1.2 exploit that could invert the gravity of the player at the beginning of the level so that the player could reach a secret way. He also apologized in the post to all the GW members. It was later translated by Reple and eventually put into public English by Sea. The post reads:

Most of his levels, including the Hell series, skyrocketed in dislikes and were eventually unrated after his confession, and he retired from the Geometry Dash community.
Sohn's Hell series levels would leave a lasting impact on the community, due to their incredibly unique gameplay and notorious difficulty. Each one would eventually be remade, including the unfinished Inferno and Field. It also led to many creators attempting to emulate Sohn's gameplay style, leading to many spinoff Hell levels.
In August 2019, he returned to the game and released a layout called Deviation, originally titled The Hell Truth. In the comments section of Stormfly's video of the level, he commented "Nice to see you all again".[2] In the description for the video, Stormfly states that Sohn had made all of the remakes official in the Hell series. Kugelblitz would begin a remake of Deviation, however it is unfinished.[3] Sohn would also have a part in an upcoming top 1 named Misanthrope.
Note: Sohn's levels can be found on two different unregistered accounts, which will be referred to with their user IDs, 26299 and 178334.
