3Depth is a 2.2 Insane platformer level by Nemo2510, published on 16 April 2024. It is notable for being a fully three-dimensional level.

Description

The gameplay of 3Depth involves traversing a set of rooms as a green cube while avoiding red objects. Reaching a checkpoint teleports to the next room.

  • Intro: 3Depth begins with a series of disclaimers about some scenarios that can cause dysfunctional controls, with notes to disable key binding mods, update Geometry Dash to its most recent version, and to tick 'dual' and press 'RESET' in the controls settings.

Once read, the disclaimers give way to a title screen with five options.

    • Play: Starts the level.
    • Hardcore: Toggles Hardcore mode on or off.
    • LDM Settings (Lag): Options to optimise the level.
    • Tutorial: Read a tutorial of the game's controls.
  • Credits: View the level's credits.

In 3Depth, P1 controls the cube's movement, whilst P2 controls jumping and camera movement.

Stages

  • Room 1: The first room consists mostly of stationary red blocks and spikes. There is also a large red spinner to avoid before they reach the end.
  • Room 2: In the second room, there are red walls that jut out, as well as a spinning red block, both of which must be avoided. It also requires doing some parkour over a lava pit.
  • Room 3: In the third room, there are moving red blocks that move left to right and vice versa, and more spinning red blocks.
  • Room 4: In the fourth room, there are stationary red walls and red moving walls that move towards the front, which must be avoided, and more spinning red walls.
  • Room 5: In the fifth and final room, two diamond-shaped 'checkpoints' must be collected in a single attempt to open the room to reach the cube and end the level. One of the rooms contains a green diamond shape, and reaching it requires jumping on tiles over a lava pit. The second room contains a blue diamond shape and features moving spikes and stationary spikes. After collecting both of them, the room opens, and after touching the cube, the credits begin, giving the option to skip them or wait for the level to end.

User coins

3Depth contains only one user coin. It is obtained by completing the level with Hardcore mode enabled, which requires beating the level without checkpoints.

    • BreadKing was commissioned to create all three songs for 3Depth.
  • 3Depth was nominated for Best Intermediate Platformer in The Geometry Dash Awards 2024; it became the inaugural winner of the category with 35.4% of the votes.
