8o X
8o X is a 2.1 Insane/Extreme Demon collaboration between F3lixsram and Yakimaru and was verified by the former. As the name would suggest, it is a rebirth of the 1.9 Insane Demon 8o. It is heavily focused on a glow theme and requires precise straight flying and orb spamming to beat, which is why it is generally called “frustrating” by people who beat it. It is currently on the Legacy List on the Official Demon List.
Gameplay
0-13%: The level starts off with a slow speed cube. Players must click very fast to get through the orbs, as well as remembering which orbs are fake and should not be clicked. This part uses a primarily pink and red color scheme.
14-29%: The level starts to speed up, transitioning from slow speed to normal speed. This part requires just as much orb spamming as the first part, along with increased accuracy as the player is going faster. This part uses a blue color scheme.
30-32%: The next part is the predrop. Here, the level goes back to slow speed and requires significantly less spamming than the first two sections. However, the difficulty from this part is that 70% of the player’s vision is blocked by a black gradient. This part is considered the easiest part.
33-56%: This part is the first part of the drop. It generally relies on straight flying and orbs for its difficulty. While most of this part is mini, there are some invisible size portals. The background, foreground, and block designs switch colors from pink to aqua every second.
57-91: The second part of the drop is a bit more reminiscent of the original level. The difficulty is significantly reduced, but still requires a high amount of patience to pass. The player spends 4 seconds as a mini triple-speed ship switching from pink to aqua, then enters a yellow 5-second UFO that requires jitterclicking and accuracy to pass. This sequence repeats 4 times.
92%: This part is just a simple one-block straight fly between two mini spikes as a mini-ship. This part is the only part in the level that uses a green color scheme. It is still heavily focused on glow.
93-100%: The final part is very reminiscent of the original 8o. Instead of “Etzer” and “Zobros”, the names displayed are now “F3lixsram” and “Yakimaru”. The player must navigate their way through a tight straight fly before jumping over a triple spike. Then, the level ends and blue, glowing text saying “GG” drops down from the top of the level.
