Template:Infobox Level Avernus is an upcoming 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration hosted by Woom and Kyhros. It is the official sequel and antagonist to the Extreme Demon The Golden. Like its prequel, its difficulty mostly comes from extremely hard fast-paced waves and timings. When released, it is set to become the hardest demon on the Geometry Dash Demonlist, although it has competition against Misanthrope, Galaxy Collapse, The Eternal Night, Firework, Silent Circles, Arcturus, DOOM, Acheron, and Abyss of Darkness, all of which claim to be the hardest level in the game.

Trivia

  • The duration of the level is 1 minute and 17 seconds.
  • The original sequel to The Golden was titled "The Gates". However, the project is abandoned and replaced with Avernus.
  • The original hosts were Bo and El3ctro but replaced by Woom and Kyhros. The decision was mainly due to the inactivity of members and El3ctro as a host.
  • Avernus seems to be the opposite of The Golden since The Golden is very dark while Avernus is bright and clear to see.
  • Woom and Kyhros announce the contest of this level.[1]
  • Avernus was an old name for a volcanic pit close to Cumae, Italy, in the area of Campania west of Naples. Some portion of the Phlegraean Fields of volcanoes, Avernus is around 3.2 kilometers in outline. Inside the pit lies Lake Avernus.
