Heliopolis
Template:Infobox Level Heliopolis is an upcoming 2.1 Extreme Demon mega-collaboration level hosted by MindCap and set to be verified by Jif. The level is inspired by Acropolis, sharing similar gameplay as both are exclusively at 0.5x speed and pure timing levels. Heliopolis is set to place in the Top 5 of the Demonlist.
History
Heliopolis was initially passed to ItsHybrid to host; however, due to the absurd nature of the level, he was unable to make progress in the mega-collaboration and such, he gave the level back to MindCap.
On 20 August 2023, MindCap released the full showcase video of Heliopolis and announced Pablohh as the verifier.[1] On the same day, Pablohh uploaded his progress of getting 27%.[2] Later, on 31 October 2023, he achieved a new record of 36%.[3]
However, on 16 February 2024, MindCap announced that Pablohh had dropped the level and gave the verification to Jif, who had achieved 46%.[4]
Gameplay
- 0-16% (Pennutoh + StarkyTheSalad + Galaxxyss + MindCap + matty2003): The level starts with Pennutoh's part, beginning with a difficult double-spike jump as a cube at 0.5x speed. The level uses 0.5x speed throughout the entire level until the end. His part utilises claustrophobic orb timings and jumps while using numerous tiny holes accessed through precisely timed orb jumps.
- 16-27% (Spamdrew128 + StarkyTheSalad + Galaxxyss + MindCap + matty2003): The next part is an extremely difficult mini-UFO mainly consisting of well-timed jumps over the gear sawblades.
- 27-38% (Stormfly + StarkyTheSalad + Galaxxyss + MindCap + matty2003): The next part is a robot that focuses on jumping over very narrow holes in between the spikes and orb jumps. At 33%, the robot turns to normal-size to enter a large cave-in surrounded by spikes. This segment now focuses on mini jumps due to the little room to jump, similar to Amber or Shardscapes.
- 38-49% (Licentious + Yoonsr): Licentious' part continues the robot part left from Stormfly's part. Unlike the previous part, it utilises floating blocks with more fake routes and memorisation.
- 49-60% (Wespdx + Magpipe): The next part transitions into a spider, primarily focusing on tricky gravity changes and timed orb jumps, with its design theming around buildings.
- 60-71% (Iris + matty2003): A difficult ball part similar to Acropolis, which has numerous orbs adjacent. Thus, it demands well-coordinated clicks.
- 71-77% (IcEDCave + matty2003 + Inex): IcEDCave's part is a ball dual that goes into a very difficult swing-copter. Within every few seconds, the ball switches in place.
- 77-87% (UFokinWotM8 + Magpipe): A UFO part particularly reliant on well-timed spam due to the tight spaces where the orbs are. The UFO goes dual halfway, albeit briefly.
- 87-100% (para + matty2003 + ViperArctarus + MindCap + Magpipe): A very tight wave part, utilising numerous fake portals and gravity changes to hinder the player as they traverse around the level. Finally, the level ends as a triple-speed cube exiting.

- Heliopolis is the name of MindCap's home town in Egypt.
- MindCap initially planned to have the level rely on lower FPS value. However, he discontinued this idea because he states that many of his experiments and tests resulted in the level looking uglier and becoming considerably buggier.
